About: I’ve always had pets growing up and I have been watching other people's pets for roughly 6 years. I have watched pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes ranging from big to small dogs, elder cats, and kittens. I have cared for pets with all different needs and will care for your pet no matter how "interesting" their routines are! I am a full-time college student with a pretty open class schedule. I am able to watch your pets easily in the mornings and afternoons/evenings and can occasionally do so during the day on weekdays! I understand that every pet has different needs and am willing to accommodate for whatever they need. In the past, I have had many different dogs with different needs and have learned how to care for all different kinds of dogs. I have also worked with many elder cats that need specific medications or routines and have learned how to care for them in their own specific ways.

“We hired Virginia to pet-sit on our hobby farm. We have two large dogs, a feisty cat, three horses, two donkeys, 11 chickens, and bees. Though the horses donkeys and chickens can tend to themselves on a short trip she did watch out for them and gave us updates on the horses and donkeys in the pasture and the chickens. She took time every day to let the chickens out and put them away. All three of our pets requires special attention when it comes to food, including medicine. She was able to take care of all of their needs while we were gone. She is thoughtful and kind. She is thorough and very attentive to updating the client. She took lots of pictures and gave us updates throughout the day. I can’t say it enough about how wonderful it was working with Virginia.”

About: I have taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, mainly elder neighbors who cannot fully take care of their animals because of scheduling conflicts. I prefer overnight visits and stays just to ensure no schedules are disrupted. I currently attend UVA full-time as a Master's Student, and work Saturday nights at a restaurant in Cville. But I always make time for the animals in my life! I have a fenced-in yard, I walk dogs either for short 15/20 minutes, or a longer (5 miles) depending on a breed's needs and requirements. Otherwise, we can lounge and play with toys together.

About: My family had labradors from the time I was an infant. All of ours were raised as puppies, well behaved and successfully potty trained. I also had a French bulldog raised from a puppy as an adult. In recent years I have learned love cats through my wife, and we now have 4 lovely adult indoor cats who we rescued all as kittens. I work from home 9-5 Monday through Friday. I can be flexible for mid-day visits, although mornings and afternoons/evenings are more reliable. I am generally available at all times of day on weekends. I have my own transportation and I’m happy to accommodate your needs. My own pets mean the world to me, I strive to be the person they see me as. I treat all animals the same way: with kindness, respect, and love, especially for rescues who may not have had the easiest lives. I have a white collar job where I’m expected to have high professionalism and customer service standards, and I bring that ethos to my work with animals as well.

About: I have not used Rover before (have an older profile from when I originally looked into it but did end up using) but am an extremely experience pet sitter who is happy to share more recent evidence and testimonials. About: I am a certified professional pet sitter with NAPPS, and have lots of experience taking care of many different pets including exotic animals. I love every animal and love pet sitting, because it is not just a side gig for me but a hobby. I work a part time job and usually sleep at the houses where I am pet sitting. I have time to go checkin and make walks 3-4 times during the day. On days I’m not working, I like to spend as much time I can to make sure no pet goes lonely.
