âEmily was super on it with my senior dog! Sheâs friendly and responsible. Also accommodated a last minute booking which is never necessary, but always appreciated.â

About: What sets me apart is my background caring for both children and pets. Iâve spent many years babysitting and working with families, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to stay calm and attentive. I bring that same level of care to animals by following routines closely, noticing changes in behavior, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Iâm able to fit pet care into my routine consistently and responsibly. Iâm used to managing schedules from caring for children and pets, so I make sure visits, feedings, and check-ins are planned and never rushed. I prioritize reliability and follow-through. Whether caring for pets in my home or a clientâs home, I focus on safety, routine, and comfort. I follow feeding schedules, provide regular check-ins, spend quality time with pets, and make sure they feel calm and secure. My background caring for children has made me very attentive, patient, and reliable with responsibilities.
âKerri is amazing on walks with our energetic and reactive dog Buster! She's very kind and calm with him, and he responds so well with her. We also appreciate how prompt and communicative Kerri has been.â

âAnanda was amazing - she was really helpful coordinating dates/times, she stopped by early to meet my dog, and she was lovely about keeping me updated with everything! I think sheâd be a great sitter or walker that Iâd recommend to anyoneâ

âIryna is consistently a wonderful walker for our 100lb young Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. She keeps him walking for the entire time. He comes home happy and relaxed. She is very flexible to our schedule and is very reliable. Highly recommend Iryna!â

âWe love Sarah! I hate to let her go ! Sarah is super helpful and she hit off with Max from the first moment! It was a hard decision for me. I will soon be uniployed ! Thank you đđ˝ Sarah !â

About: I am very attentive to the needs of your pets, especially if they are older and slower, but I also enjoy energetic puppies and pets that need some training and just need some positive re-enforcement. I am available to House sit - although I don't know how to reflect that on the website. I actively practice positive reinforcement obedience training. My schedule is open now in general but I may do a retreat every so often. I nearby in the Bay Area, my schedule is more flexible. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, since I live in a small place. I am attentive to the needs of the pet and if I see that the pet needs exercise, I make sure they get sufficient exercise through their regular routines.
âMadeline was great with Oso! I know he appreciated her long thorough walks and she could handle his excitement every time she came over. We will definitely be booking her again!â

About: Hello dog lovers! I grew up with a yellow lab and have been an animal lover my entire life. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I truly believe pets bring a special kind of love into a home and make it feel complete. Iâd be honored to care for your dog while youâre away, so you can relax and enjoy your time knowing your beloved pet is safe, happy, and in loving hands. My schedule is currently open! I am flexible and willing to work with you to suit your pets needs. I am located in Fruitvale in Oakland. I have 3 adult cats and 1 foster kitten in my home currently. About: I have been around pets my whole life. I have a dog and cat who are my world. I also want to inform that my boyfriend does this with me when he is able to. It's either me, him, or most likely both of us! We are very excited to grow this business as a team. My main focus is growing the business, so typically this is my only job, and my partner has a seasonal job. That means I/WE have plenty of time with your fur babies! We offer cat boarding services where they are kept purrfectly clean and happy with a side of playtime, definitely feeding and watering. They will get the attention they need from us and each other! We treat your furry companions like we treat our ownđđ
About: Take care of dogs part time for friends for many years. I have formed special bonds with them and love to see their excitement when they come over. No one throws a party for you when you get home like a dog. I love training puppies and taking them for walks and playing with them as well. I work/consult from home, occasionally need to leave for a couple hours to go to the gym or the store. Iâm pretty active and like to go on daily walks. Iâm willing to come over and take your dog out for a walk if they are comfortable with me doing so. If youâre able to bring the dogs to my home for an extended stay, I will provide a loving safe environment for them, with frequent potty breaks and one to two long walks per day. Iâll follow your instructions on what is best for your pet.
About: hi there! we are a young couple that grew up with lots of dogs and love having them around. we have been pet sitting since we moved to the bay area (we left our pets back home) and it has been a great way to make extra money and keep dogs around until we can have our own (we travel a lot, so we have not been able to adopt our very own just yet) we are used to host the pets we watch and love having them sharing our space. we are very responsible, very respectful and very caring. we have flexible schedules and are very active so we will make sure your dog gets his energy out. we have lots of references and will be happy to share it with you. my work schedule is from 9am-4pm and my husband has every other week off. During his week off he is free to walk/stop by/watch at our home anytime of the day. We both can be flexible. if I am not available, he probably is available as we have different schedules. we follow the clientâs directions on how to take care of their pet. we do not disrespect client rules/directions as we would not like it to be done with us. we are mindful about poisoning food/plants to pets and rearrange what needs to be rearranged before pets' arrival.
Fruitvale Station dog parents share their Rover experiences
I am very happy to have found Chloe on Rover. She's a super nice person, and my dog, Raffi, is in love with her. She's helped me out for 2 weeks, and she's been on time every day, gives good long walks, and always gives me a heads up when she's on her way. She's also flexible when I had to make some last minute changes in schedule. I highly recommend her for your dog walking needs. MY dog will miss her!
Laura is awesome! She pays close attention to our reactive pup's cues and works to stay within her comfort zone to have a successful walk. Laura also has super communication, sending detailed updates and walk reports. We're so grateful for her reliable care!

Talissa is a great dog walker! Walking my Koa for the past month or so for a couple of days a week and Koa loves going on walks with her. I couldnât have asked for a better person so caring and timely. Communication is absolutely amazing and I love the daily updates. Definitely recommended!

Esteban is the best! I was very afraid I would not find anyone to walk Piper as she is strong and slightly dog selective. Also certain dog folks do not want to walk her with a muzzle which is confusing to me, he has no issues with it. Esteban came for a meet and greet and it was a great fit! Piper has come home happy and exhausted! Canât wait to grow our relationship with him! Heâs the best!

Yonte took incredibly good care of my dog over an extended period of time and I am very grateful for her support. My dog has some behavioral reactivity and Yonte was willing to put in the time to get to know how best to care for her. She then took care of my dog for several months, going above and beyond to meet her needs for exercise and love. I would trust Yonte with all pet sitting, from short walks to extended stays. She definitely has an intuitive sense with pets and is very loving with them. She is also incredibly kind and easy to work with. I cannot recommend Yonte highly enough for the extraordinary care and love she puts into pet sitting! Thank you, Yonte!

Christine was so helpful with Nara. I had never had a dog walker before and she was so accommodating. My dog was an escape artist and she suggested certain things that might help. She sent lots of pictures that made me feel comfortable when I was at work. I have now put my frisbee escape artist in daycare since she has anxiety about being alone but would use Christine again if the occasion arises.
Heather was great! She took the time to meet and get to know us and our friendly and energetic pup, Caspian, which I really appreciate. And Caspian really liked her....from the beginning, she engaged with him. For this, I highly recommend her, and I will definitely be reaching out to her for walking and/or dog sitting needs in the near future.
