We are able to support bathroom breaks and special attention as needed. We cater to each pet's needs as requested by the owner, but a typical day would look like: a quick walk around the block in the morning for potty, come back for breakfast, another walk or a play session (potty if needed)) around 11am, another walk or play session (potty if needed) around 3pm, dinner around 5-6pm, and a final potty in the backyard before bed around 10pm. We have a fully-fenced backyard for outdoor fun and potty breaks. We have a dog bed in almost every room: living room, kitchen, and bedrooms.
“Baxter has stayed Andrea and her pups twice for daycare, with hopefully more days to come! Andrea has a gentle, kind spirit and seems very attuned to a dog's needs. At our meet & greet, she asked great questions about Baxter and his routines. She provided fun updates with pics a few times a day -- much appreciated!”

“Emily is amazing with my pup Taz! She sends updates and photos regularly, and is very quick to respond when I am just checking in! She is experienced with medication and she is overall awesome with dogs, I always feel comfortable when leaving Taz in her care! :)”

“Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.”

“Kelly has been a great caregiver for our dog, Cali! We have been using Kelly twice a week for the last few weeks and hope to continue. Our dog is super excited to be dropped off there. Our active puppy gets lots of love and attention, playtime and walks and comes home all tuckered out. Kelly is also very responsive to messages and flexible when we have had schedule changes. I strongly recommend Kelly!”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. Calm, trust and safety are my top priorities. I hope you give me the chance to connect with you and your fur baby/ babies. I work from home. I normally take Hera on a walk every morning for about 30 mins. Come back and hit the gym. After that I’m free. I can always head over in the am, afternoon or evenings. I have a fenced yard, Herita is spayed and loves to play with other dogs. Her bff is a 3 y/o Doberman. Which I take care of a couple of times a week (take her out on walks and feed her)
About: I have a GSP named Belle who keeps me active. Belle and I enjoy long walks at the Berkeley Marina, Point Isabel, and King Estate. On good days, I take Belle on hikes at Redwood, Sibley, and the surrounding areas. I am home full-time with my 6 y/o German Pointer, Belle. Belle and I spend at least 1 hour outside everyday, weather permitting, and would love some company on our daily adventures. Dogs have supervised access to the yard for bio breaks and are free to explore the apartment unless owner prefers otherwise. Mental games and toys are available to keep dogs entertained if I am busy in the kitchen or running errands.
About: Experienced pet parent to both dogs and cats with years of caring for friends' and neighbors' beloved companions. I provide attentive in-home sitting, overnight care, and enjoyable walks. I've successfully leash-trained older dogs and I love giving pets the exercise and affection they need. Your loved ones will receive the same care I give my own pets - consistent attention, plenty of play time, and a comfortable environment that feels like home. I work (mostly) at home. My own dog gets 4-5 walks per day during the week. Weekends are variable, but I try to have her outside for a good bit of the day. I live in an apartment. Outside time will have to be under my control when we go out for walks and pee breaks. Others' dogs can be crated if that's what makes them comfortable, but I typically let them hang out with my dog around the apartment. My dog is a voracious eater, so if other dogs are slow eaters, I'll have to separate their food (and maybe them for a bit) from my own.
“Our pupp was well cared for. Charlene communicated regularly over the 24 hour stay - sent updates and pictures. Lou was well cared for and exhausted after a fun day with new friends.”

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.
“Miki is fantastic and super sweet. She clearly took great care of Leo and sent some awesome pics of their adventures. I would definitely recommend having her watch your creature.”

About: As a dedicated and experienced pet sitter, I am passionate about providing the best care possible for all types of pups. As a specialized pet sitter for bully breeds and small dogs, I understand the unique needs and quirks of these adorable dogs. With years of experience and a deep love for all things pup, I am committed to providing the highest level of care and attention to your furry friend. Everything from numerous short walks and playtime (temperature permitting) to feeding and medication administration, you can trust me to provide reliable and compassionate care for your dog. I am dedicated to ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. My home has ramps to access all furniture and gates to prevent pups from running up and down stairs to protect their spines and potential IVDD flare ups. Our morning starts off with a walk around the neighborhood, then it’s breakfast time which means training and play with positive reinforcement! Your pup then has playtime with toys and with my dog Penelope if they are up for it or can snooze away. We then take a quick walk during lunch to stretch our legs and say hi to our friends at Rocky’s. After work we love to be in nature and hit the trails or parks to get some steps in! After dinner I love nothing more than to cuddle with the pups on my couch before bed! We have an outdoor deck that the dogs always have access to. Mostly serves as a sunbathing lounge 😎. The deck is also equipped with grass patches for easy potty breaks. Your pup with have the company of my dog, Penelope. She is a playful and well behaved French bulldog. I have a robust routine for her to keep her healthy and prevent her from being affected from her predisposed IVDD. I can easily incorporate any special needs or request that your day may need.

“Baxter had a great day with Kim and her human and dog crew. :) She sent pics with fun commentary several times (much appreciated -- especially on the first day!. Baxter was wiped out in the evening after a day of play. Kim is clearly a pro at dog care. She was very engaged in our meet and greet and asked lots of good questions. She's very pleasant to chat with and communicates proactively. Looking forward to Baxter's next stay!”

“It was last minute searching for a dog sitter. Dacyl responded my request pretty quickly and invited my dogs to meet her dog before I decided. She was very sweet with Jet and Luna and sent me several photos and messages. They had a great time with her. Thank you, Dacyl!”

“Tamara is the best dog sitter that my puppy has ever had! She’s super responsive, genuine, and makes you feel very comfortable when watching your fur baby. When my puppy stayed the night, Tamara sent lots of pictures and videos to let me know how he was doing every step of the way. And when day sitting, Tamara took my puppy on a long hike to get him exercise. He also got along very well with her super friendly dog, Finn! Thanks so much Tamara for keeping my puppy Kali in good care. I really appreciate you!”

Fruitvale Station dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alejandra is a fantastic sitter! We picked up our little girl happy and jolly after a day with her. I cannot thank her and her husband enough ❤️ she sent constant photos ,videos and updates throughout the day. Also, their puppy Nemo is adorable and so very friendly. If you want to have piece of mind about your dog knowing they'll be safe while having a great time, Alejandra is your sitter!

Angel is an amazing pet sitter! She sent me plenty of photos and updates, which gave me great peace of mind. She was also very accommodating with last-minute changes, which I really appreciated. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable pet care.

Andy is wonderful - my dog Sidney is always so happy to see him when I drop her off for daycare (usually once a week). When I arrive to pick her up, she generally doesn't want to leave! She gets multiple walks per day and enjoys time with their dog Millie. They are accommodating of my crazy schedule and very flexible about drop-off and pick-up time. I very highly recommend these folks - they take great care of my baby!

Camyle is a very caring and capable puppy sitter. I have a very high energy 6 months old puppy and when I picked him up, he was tired which rarely happens so I am a very happy customer. I told her I had a very picky eater w a separation anxiety and she didn't see it as a problem but a challenge and she was able to even feed him.

Tamara was great from our first meet and greet. She put me at ease with her calm demeanor and her knowledge about dogs. Kahlo is a newly adopted dog so I am still anxious leaving her with others and Tamara answered all my questions and also shared knowledge about dogs which I still desperately need. She was quick to respond to my texts and gave me updates throughout the day. I felt at ease throughout my workday. Kahlo spent the day playing with her dog, Sidney and was happy and tired when I picked her up. I am very thankful I found Tamara. She is a true gem.

As a first time Rover user, we hit the jackpot with Juliana and Katherine. It was our pup’s first experience at daycare (he thought it was a play date); and he had so much fun and adventure. He was so excited to go the next day that he pulled me up the stairs to their house. He had two sweet pups to play with and a fun yard to explore. Juliana was very attentive and shared pictures; I didn’t have any worries. Highly recommend!

It was last minute searching for a dog sitter. Dacyl responded my request pretty quickly and invited my dogs to meet her dog before I decided. She was very sweet with Jet and Luna and sent me several photos and messages. They had a great time with her. Thank you, Dacyl!

Alexandra was a lifesaver! She was able to watch my two dogs last minute while I went out to dinner with my family, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Since I don’t live in Alameda, it was really important for me to find someone I felt completely comfortable with—and Alexandra exceeded all expectations. My girls came back happy and content, which tells me they received all the love and attention they deserve. Alexandra is super friendly, kind, and genuinely a good person. I only wish I had someone like her where I live. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone!

Jason and his wife are some of the nicest people. They took good care of my pups during their stay. Kept me updated and very accommodating. I ran into some last minute work situations on the day of my pups' stay and was going to be late to our agreed and planned pick up time. Jason accommodated to my late arrival request and assured me the pups will be well taken care of in the extra hour. Will definitely come back should I ever need a sitter again!
