About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

About: I have a long history of both owning and caring for dogs. To me, a fur baby is family and any pet left under my care is treated with the same love and affection as I would with my own. I would be honored to spoil your pup (with what you and your fur baby are comfortable with). I have experience caring for many different sizes, temperaments, personalities, limitations, and quirks that dogs come with. All of my time and energy will be focused on making your fur baby comfortable, loved, and well-cared for. I am home 24/7 except for the occasional social outing with friends. Furry friends are my top priority and I take every step necessary to ensure they are cared for and loved like family during their stay. I am very active and love taking pups for any length of walk or park time that they need or enjoy. I am with your babies all day and I treat them like they are my own. I provide lots of love, snuggles, play time, and am happy to give them as much (or little) attention as they need. While I love to spoil our fur friends, I adhere to your instructions, always, and can provide as many updates and photos of your pup as you'd like. We have a fully fenced large backyard (for Portland) and I supervise all furry friends outside when the weather is cooperating. We have a fenced dog run that is lit, with dog door access for your babies if they need to relieve themselves immediately. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and in the bed during the day for snuggles. In a clients home, I follow every instruction left for care of your fur baby and try to leave all homes better than I left. I will never leave your dog in any state other calm and relaxed. I take great care to ensure that your property is secured when I leave and can follow any instructions for key care, lockbox codes, etc. including key pick-up and drop-off.

We have had Jessica watch our cats at least 6 or 7 times - usually for a week at a time, while we're away on vacation. She consistently does an amazing job. Our cats seem to really like her, and the reports/pictures she sends reassure us that they are doing fine, so that we can enjoy our vacation and not worry. It is an added bonus to have someone regularly checking on our house, bringing in packages, etc... while we are away.
Lindsey is amazing! I recently booked Lindsey to care for my two cats while I was away for over a week. She sent incredibly thoughtful and detailed updates, along with lots of pictures. I felt very comfortable with her in my home and I could tell the cats liked her too! In addition, I had an unexpected travel delay and Lindsey was very kind to extend my booking to make sure my cats were cared for until I was able to make it home. I will definitely be booking with Lindsey again!
Mary came each evening to give my 18-year-old ckd cat subcutaneous fluids. She was very competent and caring, plus also creative with ways to make getting fluids more pleasant for my sweet kitty. I was really nervous to leave, but knowing Mary was taking care of my baby and, especially, getting her those all-important fluids, really helped to put my mind at ease. Thank you, Mary!
Rachel took care of our three kitties while we were out of town for almost two weeks. We appreciated the dedicated care and playtime she gave all three of them.
