“Thank you so much, Paityn! Tyler absolutely loves his walks with you, and we're thrilled that you've been able to extend his distance – it's exactly what he needs to ease his anxieties. Your care, punctuality, and attention to detail mean the world to us. Once my wife returns, we'll definitely work on a regular plan. Thanks again for everything!”

About: I've owned many kinds of animals, and have maintained at least a cat and/or dog my entire life. I regularly take care of my family member's animals and often take care of my friend's cats and dogs. While I lived in Montana, I helped train Border Collies for sheep herding and continue training with positive reinforcement and/or clicker training. I also have experience with senior care; my childhood best friend (Labrador Retriever) lived to be 17 (human) years old, and was able to come with me to college. I'm a stay at home mom to an adorable 3yr old boy, allowing me the ability to take care of your pet when you need me. I will need to bring my son with me, he loves walks and he loves animals. He is extremely gentle with our 2 cats at home and he is great with dogs. Please let me know if you prefer my son not "help" with the care of you pet, I can accommodate. For drop ins, I will make sure your fur baby has sufficient fresh water, has been fed, exercised/played with, has gone to the bathroom, and if any medications are needed, they are given at the correct dose and time. For regular walks, I will do everything in my power to insure the safety of your pet by being observant of my surroundings and avoiding dangers. I am a military spouse and can travel on base if necessary.
“Savanah walked my two dogs while we were out of town and I left them with my mom. She was always on time, and understood one of my dogs because she is very special on where or with who she likes to walk with. I highly recommend her!”

They are my world and I truly love training and taking care of them. I am my friends and family's go to pet sitter when they are out of town, so my pups are used to having other dog visitors! I'm very reliable and will treat all animals as if they are my own. I'm on Rover so I can meet and take care of other dogs instead of adding another to my pack ;) I work from home mostly so I am flexible regarding when I can take care of your pet. Morning, lunchtime, or evening walks - I will try to accommodate to whatever you and your pet needs! I have three friendly dogs and a large fenced yard. I’m downstairs with my pups all day while working from home. I enjoy taking breaks and playing with them through out the day.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Eustis
I hired Paityn to walk my 7 yr old dog when I left town on a girls trip. I appreciate that she let my dog set the pace and stopped to let her roll in the grass. My husband told me that my dog was super happy to see Paityn each time which tells me that Kayla gives her approval too.

Luisa was amazing with our two dogs. She was very caring, patient and even understood our “special character dog”. Thanks to her we were not worried about our dogs getting emotional diarrhea during our two weeks out of the country. I used her walking services and she was always on time, willing to accommodate as well.

Great with Zulu! Nadia has been absolutely wonderful walking our standard poodle, Zulu. She keeps a great pace and covers a solid distance on every walk—which is exactly what Zulu needs to stay healthy and happy. You can tell she truly enjoys being with dogs, and Zulu always comes back from their outings relaxed and content. Nadia is punctual, professional, and communicative. Highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who treats your dog like their own and actually gets them moving!

I can't thank Gary enough for helping me out with my three Beags during this July 4th holiday weekend! He is just so good with my fur babies and I love how he interacts with them! They absolutely love him and so do I! Even my skittish baby girl was looking forward to their walks, which is a huge milestone for her as she is very picky about who she'll let walk her. So, if you're looking for an awesome person to trust your fur babies with, Gary is that person. He really is the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
