“Paityn was wonderful with my two large dogs, Scout and Bonnie! They can be a bit rambunctious, but her calm energy helped to wind them down. She provided pictures and updates of her visit and made sure my dogs were taken care of. Thank you, Paityn!”

“Thank you for taking care of my babies while I was away. Stephanie was able to squeeze me in with very short notice and was very punctual in the agreed on times. She sent me updates on the pets and the house, and I felt at ease the entire time.”

I have a fenced backyard and my shih tzu is about 12 years old and my mastiff is about 8 there a little older and sleep all day really my cats are around 2 and 3 and their energetic and like to go outside and one of them like to stay indoors and we trained them to come home when we call their names!
“Alyssa did a wonderful job providing drop-in visits for our cats. She was easy to communicate with, professional, and provided thoughtful updates. I won't hesitate to book her services again in the future, and would easily recommend her to others.”
“Rachelle continues to take amazing care of our boy Kane. She is super dependable and really loves animals. You will be able to go out of town without worry. 5 stars everyday! Thank you Rachelle!!”

“Kyle, was very attentive to my two pets. They were well cared for with a major amount of petting. The home was clean and neat. Trash taken out. Yard cleaned up. I couldn't ask for more. I would hire him again in a heartbeat as my pups love him.”

“Anika is our shy, timid, and a bit untrusting one-eyed, 2 time adoption returnee who had been with us less than a month and had already gone thru a local move with us. Christmas was rolling quickly towards us, and I was unable to locate my previous cat love provider. Then Rover found Shawna for us! She was totally PAWsome with our baby‼️ Anika took to Shawna immediately when she came for the meet-n-greet. Shawna is a true cat whisperer in our eyes. We could not have asked for a better love and care provider for our baby in our absence. Thank you Shawna for being an absolute wonder!”

“Maggie was absolutely amazing!! She is kind, great with the animals, communicative, proactive, and just super helpful! It was so nice knowing she was looking after our babies while we were away.”

“Sydney did an outstanding job taking care of our two dogs while we were out of town for a week. She arranged a meet and greet before we left, which made me much more comfortable as a pet parent having met the person who would be caring for my fur babies in my absence. It also allowed my very tentative husky a chance to see her before her first official visit. She arrived on time and stayed the full duration every day, spending time with the dogs and sending me detailed updates and pictures every visit, relieving my stress over leaving them and allowing me to relax and actually enjoy the trip. One of our dogs was sick just before we left and on a prescription medicine and special diet. Sydney was flexible with the change and comfortable giving the meds as prescribed. She updated us on how the medications were going and how Whiskey was doing. She even went above and beyond without hesitation and brought the trash can in from the road for me and some packages that were delivered while we were gone. Sydney’s dedication and kindness towards our dogs made their week easier too. I highly recommend Sydney and will definitely request her care for our babies during future trips!”

My absolute favorite pup sitter ever! We had a loss in the family and with almost no notice he reached out letting me know he could help. He also went above and beyond making sure each of my dogs got out door time, special attention, treats, their medication and fresh food and water. Genuinely just a wonderful human. Thank you for everything you do! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Savannah was a wonderful cat sitter! She was reliable, responsive, and genuinely caring with Hobbes. We especially appreciated the photos and updates she sent, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your cat with kindness and attention, we highly recommend Savannah.

Luisa provided incredible care for my pup, Leila, during the Holiday season. She went above and beyond every visit; consistently kept me informed with thoughtful updates. Her dedication and reliability far exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a trustworthy and compassionate sitter.

I love her as a pet sitter! She always sends multiple adorable pictures of my dog while I’m away and I know that she is taken care of. Madeline always leaves a very detailed description of what activities take place and it really makes me so happy to hear about all the details!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
