“Reggie was very grateful to have Carissa come and visit. He warmed up to her quickly and loved having someone to give him pets. Carissa was communicative and managed to take some great pictures even while Reggie was demanding attention. She also brought in some packages that weren't expected to arrive while I was gone. Although it is not very often that we need a sitter, when we do, I will definitely try to rebook with Carissa.”

“Meagan has been absolutely fantastic with my 2 8-month old puppies! I have a Malinois & a Ridgeback/Cattledog, who are high-energy, with the Mali being quite mouthy (unsurprisingly). After a work schedule change & with one recovering from an injury, I needed someone to come to our house a few times a day for supervised play & potty breaks, and Meagan has been terrific. Not only is she great with my pups but she truly goes above and beyond. She's communicative, friendly, flexible, trustworthy, and treats them my babies like her own. I cannot adequately express my gratitude and highest recommendation!”

About: Ever sense I was a kid I've loved taking care of any animal under the sun, and I still do. When I got my first dog I was so excited and loved him no matter what. I am currently not working so I have all the time in the world for your pets. I am avaliable on weekdays at anytime and will give your pets the attention they want. I can give all of my attention to your pets and make them feel happy and excited or the opposite where both of us can relax and enjoy eachothers company.

About: I have had animals since I was a child. There’s not been a time in my adult life that I haven’t had pets. My husband was a dog trainer in the military for 11 years and has been evicted for the last 10 years. We currently have three dogs and two cats and they are well loved and well cared for. I am currently in the military and I have been for 18 years. Therefore, I understand the struggles of having a pet and having to leave at her moments notice and not having family around to help you. So I would love to hope any families care for their animal babies. I have a fenced yard. I have dog kennels andI have cat kennels to keep the dogs and cats safe. Additionally, all my animals are microchip.
“Reliable, including on several last minute requests! Chelsea has helped me tend to my dog Jill on numerous occasions. Very attentive and supportive. Had no problem adjusting to my loving but anxious dog’s ways :) She’s also been very flexible and receptive of my detailed needs/requests. Jill and I appreciate you!!”

“Marissa took care of my dog, Ally, on Christmas Eve. She was very reliable and not only took good care of Ally, but also brought a package in off the porch and sent a picture of a very happy pup. I can't recommend Marissa enough. I will be contacting her in the future.”

About: I love all animals! I grew up with family dogs, and I have done petsitting for puppies and elderly dogs for friends and family, and seasonally worked on a farm where I worked with guardian dogs, sheep, cows, and chickens. I'd be so excited to take care of your pets with the love and affection they deserve! I work on weekends, so I'm available for dog walking during the day Monday-Thursday for the most part. Would love to walk dogs or sit for them in your home! Unfortunately my home can't accommodate animal boarding. I love to give animals affection and proper care. Good outside time, exploring, playing, and order are all important for making animals feel safe and secure.
About: I have experience rescuing cats and dogs and administering medication. I’ve also done house sitting and pet sitting for several homes. I enjoy running and playing with dogs to keep them active and happy, and I can also help them stay calm when needed. I offer walks up to 1 hour and can safely handle up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable cleaning up after pets, changing diapers if needed, and giving medication. I work Mondays and Wednesday–Friday from 7 to 3, and Saturdays from 3 to 11pm. I’m free all day on Tuesdays and Sundays 😊 I adapt to each home and follow the owner’s preferences and routine for their pets. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, whether that includes walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or keeping their space clean. I always adjust to each pet’s personality and needs.

About: My family has had dogs forever, ranging from small medium and large so growing up with all kinds of dogs has given me experience in how to handle any situation with any dog! I’m currently a college student and away from my dog at home and am looking for any way to have more interactions with pets. Also, my most recent dog is now 2 years old and I did the majority of training, so if there are any needs or wants for training while I am sitting, I am more than capable. I’m currently a full time student and on the William & Mary Varsity Men’s soccer team, however, I have many breaks throughout my day. The only block of the day I’m usually completely unavailable is from 2-6PM When caring for pets in clients homes you can expect the utmost respect for the home but also a willingness to learn how you usually handle your dog at home. Whether that is using the crate and having some more strict guidelines, or if it is a more relaxed environment.
About: I have taken care of dogs around my neighborhood and within my family for a little over a year. Dogs are my favorite and walking them is the best time. As a Division 1 athlete I am able to keep up with dogs hyper energy. I am super caring and overall love dogs! I will have plenty of time to take care of your dog as I am currently on summer break from college!! I have soccer at night but other than that I am very free! As a neat freak your home will look untouched following me taking care of your dog. If needed I can easily crate your dog and leave your home very clean!
About: I have several years of experience caring for a wide range of animals, from beloved furry companions to fish and even large reptiles. My passion for animals began at a young age, inspired in part by countless hours watching Animal Planet, which helped spark my curiosity and deepen my understanding of animal behavior. Over the years, I’ve developed a natural ability to connect with animals, especially those that may feel anxious or unsure. I take pride in creating a calm, reassuring environment that helps pets feel safe and loved. For me, pet care isn’t just a responsibility. It’s a heartfelt commitment. After all, our pets are family, and I treat them as such. At this moment, I currently have no pets. But I am open and available to assist with others who do. I’m pretty flexible. My classwork is self paced. It’s all about what the client needs. Believe it or not but some animals do have allergies. So there are a lot of does and don’ts. Other than that, I assure any mess is cleaned up, pets are fed properly and on schedule, and bathroom breaks are given. And of course play time and walks if needed.

About: I ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience for your furry, scaly, or finned friends while you're away. Whether it's a lazy stroll for your pup, ensuring your cat's needs, or tending to your aquatic or reptilian companions, rest assured that they're in loving and capable hands! I’m currently unemployed so I have all the time in the world to take care of your furbabies, I’m just a call away if there is an immediate need! I’m available at just about all times! I care for pets in my clients home and fur-babies as I do my own, if there is a fenced in yard I always double check that gates are locked. I make sure to check their food, water, look around the home to make sure there isn’t anything that needs to be tidied up. I make sure any non-safe objects are out of reach.
“Avery is the best! We have had Avery as a dogsitter for over a year now and is our go-to dog sitter. We had some work things pop up where we needed to change around the time and visit expectations and she was extremely accommodating. She also knows how to deal with our 3 crazy dogs and they love when she comes over to play with them. 💝”
About: I get a lot of joy from taking care of them and making them happy while getting to know their personality. I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and energy levels! Animals are certainly a woman’s best friend! I am a current law student that will have class in the mornings and early afternoons most weekdays, but will be able to care for your pets any time outside of that! I would love to have a furry friend to walk or play with during study breaks and can’t wait to get to know your baby! My utmost priority in caring for your pets is ensuring they are as safe, comfortable and at ease as possible. Animals are so special and deserve the kindest treatment in all circumstances, even when they make a mistake. I will ask for specific preferences or instructions and follow them in regard to feeding, walking, play time, medicine, potty breaks and any form of crating. I want to help your pet as much as possible through the nerve-wracking time of being away from their owner!

Alexis was kind enough to check in on our kitties while we were out of town for a little over a week. We have a hard time leaving our cats as they’re used to someone being home with them all the time, but Alexis gave us all the reassurance we needed. She played with them using their favorite toys and provided us detailed updates. It’s clear from the pictures that our kitties adore her 🥰. It’s important to mention that Alexis took time out of a very special day for her to tend to our kitties, which I cannot thank her enough for. She is highly reliable! Alexis goes above and beyond, as she also cleaned up some broken pots outside that fell due to storm winds. I would highly recommend Alexis to watch any pet and will certainly be reaching out to her in the future when we go out of town.

Mary was absolutely fantastic!! She helped us in the very last minute and gave our dogs excellent care (and even extra care to our extremely nervous dog)!! She sent lots of pictures and updates, and I didn’t worry at all about our dogs while we were away. I hope to have her again in the future ♥️ thanks, Mary!!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
