About: I have taken care of dogs (during the day and overnight stays) ranging from 6 months to over two years. In addition to my pet sitting experiences, I have volunteered at two humane societies and specialized with the dogs. Before interacting with the dogs at the humane societies, I completed 22.5 hours of formal training, background security checks, and the Fear Free Shelter Program Core Modules. My responsibilities as a volunteer were canine enrichment activities (including making toys and interactions with dogs), recording behavioral observations, and canine handling onsite and offsite. I also enjoy running, so if your dog is up for that, they are more than welcome to join! I frequent run clubs with dogs because I love being around them and I don't have the finances to take care of my own right now (I am a graduate student). I am a graduate student studying billfish. M-F, I am typically in the lab. The mornings and evenings are flexible, and include running and weight lifting depending on the day. On the weekends, I have my long run and I go to the gym. If there's a social event going on I'll try to make it but my schedule is flexible. I don't have a set routine on the weekends besides waking up early to run. At this time, I am only caring for pets in their homes. Since I am a graduate student and renting my current residence, I cannot care for pets in my own home. Depending on the service, I will come as frequently as needed and/or stay overnight.

About: I have taken care of pets since I was young girl. I also have worked as a Veterinary Technician on Langley Air Force Base. I enjoy pet sitting all kinds of animals, especially dogs and cats. About: I have taken care of my family's large dogs all my life and volunteered at a local animal shelter for several years, walking, brushing and exercising dogs! About: Animals have been part of my life since the day I was born. I grew up on a farm outside of St. Louis where animals of all kinds were just daily life — not pets you visited, but family you lived alongside. As an only child, they were my closest companions, and that relationship followed me through every chapter of my life, across three states and a military base in Japan. My family’s experience with animals goes well beyond dogs and cats. Over the years we cared for an array of reptiles, frogs, rabbits, turtles, fish (at one point well over 100), two large-breed dogs, and multiple cats. My parents also bred and sold birds privately and to pet stores, including budgies, cockatiels, finches, lovebirds, and parrots. My first real taste of pet care as a service came when we were stationed in Japan, where we informally provided doggy daycare for my dad’s coworkers alongside our own two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m consistently available Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm, which means your pet gets attentive, present care during the hours most sitters are at a desk job. No rushing home, no checking the clock. I left home to serve in the Navy, and while our household is currently pet-free (we’re waiting to see what direction our daughter gravitates toward before adding a new family member), the knowledge and instincts I built over a lifetime of hands-on animal care don’t go anywhere. One thing I always want to be upfront about: my daughter will be with me when I provide services. She’s 3 years old and genuinely one of the gentlest kids I’ve seen around animals. My family and our Golden Doodle were away in Williamsburg on vacation. We were planning on spending the day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We did not want to use Busch Gardens pet services. Because all they do is lock you pet in a kennel and it’s up to you to check on your pet. I did not want to do that to our golden doodle so I started looking for a good walker. I was lucky enough to find Gabriela. She lived close by to where my family was staying and she also has a Golden Doodle . Gabriela did a fantastic job with our Golden Doodle. She did a 30 minute walk with him took a bunch of pictures of Biscuit while on the walk and even sent a map of the route they took. I highly recommend Gabriela . I know the next time I’m in need to contact a walker I will be reaching out to Gabriela.
