“Honey is also so responsive, professional, and caring. My puppy loves her visits and the walks they go on. She has a caring nature, and fun person that my puppy loves.”

“Excellent service and our dog is in great care with Hadley! We appreciate her care, responsiveness and pictures and updates and would highly recommend her to help with your pets! :)”

“Excellent experience! Tess was punctual, followed all instructions, and handled my high-energy pup with confidence and care. Tuco was happy, well-exercised, and calm when I got home—something that doesn’t happen often. Highly recommend and will definitely book again.”

About: My beloved Summer (now deceased) was an absolute monster when she was a puppy, so I can handle it all. When she was a senior, I had no problem picking her up (60 lbs) for car rides and for bedtime (she slept with me), and took care of her when her stitches popped. It takes a lot to faze me. In high school and college, I was first aid certified and still keep a first aid kit on me at all times, so should something happen, I can get your sweet dog wrapped up if need be. My favorite activity for getting dogs' energy out is taking them to a fenced in soccer field and kicking a ball for them to run after. I currently have a 6 (ish) year old rescue named Charlotte, whom I’ve had to train as an adult dog. She’s the complete opposite of Summer: very vocal and has no interest in balls but adores sticks. Every morning, afternoon, and evening. Walks, meal times, and play time for your dog (or dogs) and my dog as well. Caring for a dog is priority #1. Each morning, I walk Charlotte before hitting the gym and again in the evening. I’m currently in-between jobs, so I have full availability for the next few weeks. After that, I will likely be working remotely and will be flexible. It varies by the needs of the pet and his/her family. Walks, playing in the yard, etc. are common. If your pet has a certain routine, I’m pleased to accommodate.
“Victoria is amazing! She is extremely communicative and reliable in her services. I have a nervous pet and she went above and beyond to ensure that my dog and I were at ease. She was also able to help me in short notice. She is fantastic and I plan to use her again in the future :)”

About: I’ve had a medium sized dog for the past eight years. He has always been seen as “my dog,” even though he’s the household dog. I love to take him for walks everyday, car rides often, and play with/treat him! I’m a college junior home for the summer in Williamsburg, VA. I have a part time internship which only requires around 20 hours a week of me being out of the house, so my schedule is very flexible to take care of your babies! In my home specifically, I always ensure my dog is fed, comfortable, and taken care of. I treat my dog as though he has human feelings and speaks english, if you know what I mean. I walk him twice a day and take him for enriching activities often such as car rides. His health is my main priority.
About: What sets me apart is my calm, attentive approach and experience caring for senior pets and animals who need extra patience, routine, or medication support. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and respectful of both pets and homes. I follow instructions closely, communicate clearly, and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work both full time and part time, but pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m very responsible with scheduling and flexible when it comes to letting dogs out for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and check-ins. I plan my days around pets’ needs and make sure they get consistent care, attention, and companionship while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routines so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding, potty, walk, and medication instructions carefully, provide plenty of attention and companionship, and adjust care based on each pet’s needs and energy level. I’m also respectful of the home and send regular updates for peace of mind
“Nice gentle with my girl. Willing to try whatever thought would motivate, but usually based on what I suggested. Appears to be cautious and not wanting to hurt dog. Definately likes animals. Much interactive with my dog after we all called it a day. Client was being very recalcitrant. Perhaps do some bonding before attempting walk next te”

About: I started volunteering at the Humane Society at the age of 11, where I fell in love with caring for animals. I lived on a base where people traveled frequently and I was trusted to keep their pets safe and looked after. I now work at a dog daycare/ boarding facility as a kennel attendant, so I have the proper training to take care of your pets. I enjoy my job and have lots of love to give to animals! My schedule is very flexible. I have a two hour lunch break when I do work, and I only work part time. I am a college student and even with next semester coming up, I still will be very available. Unfortunately, I am unavaible at the moment for boarding at my house because of the pets in my household. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to!
“Savanah was great walking my 2 beagles. She was always on time and my dogs really liked her.. one of my dogs is a little special and Savanah seems to figure that out and made her feel more comfortable when walking with her. I would recommend her!”

About: Worked as a veterinary assistant and have experience caring for cats, dogs, reptiles, horses, and farm animals. You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
