About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) and so starting in November 2026 my 40 hours will be WEDNESDAY afternoon thru SATURDAY night. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 7am to 12pm. Sunday thru Tuesday I will be totally available. There is some flexibility with my full time work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.

About: I have grown up with animals. Dogs and cats are at the top of the list. I've been around domesticated animals all of my life. My first kittens at my young age was two siames kittens Who had 2 litters of kittens as well as having to toy poodle dogs, that had two litters of puppies twice. I must have been about 10 so it was from then that I have been loving & caring for fur babies.. Though I do not Own a dog or a cat right now, but look forward to owning some in my future.. I currently own a guinea pig. I just recently experienced the end of a pug/fur baby end of life. I took care of the pug for his last six months of life. Soon after that I boarded a beautiful pitbull for the weekend of mother's day. So to book with me, i'm sure I will have you covered.. Because I'm home during the day. I am a great fit for you fur baby. I love on your Fur baby while you are on occasion or just I'll have an a fun day. I am located across from freedom park in James City County, Williamsburg. I feel i'm in a great place to be able to get him or her out to go for walks and play.

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life so I understand the importance in taking care of them. My dogs are my children and I will always take the best care of them. I’ve had many cats when I was younger but I have 2 dogs here with me and 1 back home with my mom. Two of the three dogs I have are rescues, and I’ve owned dogs of all sizes. I am an Air Force veteran and I am currently a PRN Medical Assistant. I’m free most days at any time, will keep my calendar updated as best as I can, to meet all of your pets needs. I am newer to drop-in visits on this app but I’ve done it plenty of times before joining the app. I am very reliable and will always keep you updated with your pet(s).

About: Dogs have become a true passion of mine. I provide more than feeding and walks; I focus on understanding each dog’s behavior, body language, and individual needs. I’ve worked extensively with puppies and adolescent dogs, helping build confidence, good manners, and positive social skills through structure, patience, and consistency. I carefully monitor eating habits, energy levels, and overall health while dogs are in my care, and I keep owners updated with photos and detailed communication. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, or simply relax, my goal is to provide a safe, calm environment where they can feel comfortable and secure. My schedule allows me to give dogs plenty of individual attention throughout the day. I plan my routine around exercise, structured play, rest periods, potty breaks, and enrichment rather than leaving dogs unattended for long stretches. I strive to maintain each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. Safety is always my highest priority. Every new dog is introduced gradually based on temperament and comfort level. I have experience using crates appropriately for rest, meals, and decompression when needed, and I carefully supervise all interactions between dogs. If your dog prefers quiet one-on-one attention, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I believe every dog is an individual. I take time to observe behavior, communication, and comfort level so I can provide care that fits each dog’s personality rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

About: I am going to treat your dog like my own if not better. I have two dogs Bailey and Princess who were rescue dogs. Bailey was mean and and could not wear a collar. Princess was malnurished and skin issues. Now both dogs are heathly, friendly. It amazes me how much they have grown. They would love guests and enjoy play time. All i ask is that u tell me your babies schedule and likes and dislikes. I have fenced yard where your dogs can run around play freely and I take dogs to parks and trails. Plenty of treats, and playtime, and love. If you like i can come to your home so your fur babies can feel more comfortable. Home away from home is how it should be. I do pet sit/ Rover on a part-time basis that's why my rates are lower than most.

About: I have professional experience caring for and monitoring canines and felines during various life stages to include puppies,kittens,to geriatric seniors. I am comfortable with behavior and temperaments of all types to include “spicy”. I am comfortable with administering any medical needs or monitoring of medical cases as needed. I balance drop ins,walks, and caring for your pet in my day to day routine. Flexible schedule that allows me to be available even on short notice. I am incredibly diligent when ensuring the safety of your pet. Similar to children they should be monitored and not left to their own devices. I believe in keeping a close watch at all times for their safety and your peace of mind!

I provide pet care in Richmond and Charlottesville and the surrounding areas, though I am also happy to travel to other states with advanced notice. I have a breadth of experience caring for my former pets and my home, as well as house and pet sitting for friends and for my clients. I grew up on a farm and cared for goats, horses, cows, dogs, cats, sheep, and poultry. I make an excellent house/petsitter due to my experience with and love for animals and my tidy and loving personality! ** I charge $45 / night for 1-6 night house stays, but have a sliding scale for longer sits (negotiable at the time of request). I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. I’m happy with staying overnight for housesitting or sharing my home for boarding! I have the utmost care and respect for my clients pets and homes and treat them as if they were my own. I make sure to communicate expectations as best as possible to make sure we’re all on the same page.
