About: Cats have been part of my life since the day I was born. I grew up on a farm outside of St. Louis where cats were just part of daily life from the very start. That foundation followed me through every move — California, Japan, Virginia — and at one point we had three cats living alongside dogs, reptiles, and birds. About: "Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend...never owned a dog" I live in a townhouse in Williamsburg with husband, our 1 year old daughter and our puppy, Korben. Dog sitting is a full family experience in our home, both our daughter and puppy love it when we have house guests. In fact our daughter’s first word was “doggie”, so it’s very important that dogs that come into our home do well with children as much as they do well with other dogs. While we don’t have a fenced in yard we make up for it with a walking path in the neighborhood and many other walking trails close by, we generally go on two walks a day, weather permitting. I've been sitting for my friends and family for as long as I can remember. So if your looking for a place where your dog will be well cared for and have a lot of fun in the process, look no further. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with further questions, I want you to feel comfortable when you leave your dog with me while you are out of town. I work mostly from home so your pup will have the hands on attention they deserve! We offer ample love and attention through walks and belly rubs. There are occasions I will need to leave the house for work, but I’m usually not gone more than an hour or so. In those instances we’ll recreate what you do with your pup when leave your home. I really try to mimic your routine at home as best as possible. About: My beloved Summer (now deceased) was an absolute monster when she was a puppy, so I can handle it all. When she was a senior, I had no problem picking her up (60 lbs) for car rides and for bedtime (she slept with me), and took care of her when her stitches popped. It takes a lot to faze me. In high school and college, I was first aid certified and still keep a first aid kit on me at all times, so should something happen, I can get your sweet dog wrapped up if need be. As an only child, they were my closest companions, and that relationship followed me through every chapter of my life, across three states and a military base in Japan. My family’s experience with animals goes well beyond dogs and cats. Over the years we cared for an array of reptiles, frogs, rabbits, turtles, fish (at one point well over 100), two large-breed dogs, and multiple cats. My parents also bred and sold birds privately and to pet stores, including budgies, cockatiels, finches, lovebirds, and parrots. My first real taste of pet care as a service came when we were stationed in Japan, where we informally provided doggy daycare for my dad’s coworkers alongside our own two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m consistently available Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm, which means your pet gets attentive, present care during the hours most sitters are at a desk job. No rushing home, no checking the clock. I left home to serve in the Navy, and while our household is currently pet-free (we’re waiting to see what direction our daughter gravitates toward before adding a new family member), the knowledge and instincts I built over a lifetime of hands-on animal care don’t go anywhere. One thing I always want to be upfront about: my daughter will be with me when I provide services. She’s 3 years old and genuinely one of the gentlest kids I’ve seen around animals. “Ms. Crystal was so kind, loving and patient with our tiny 3 month old Teddy! Puppies require a lot of love and attention as they are like sponges soaking everything in at a fast pace. They are also a lot more work than a trained adult dog. Ms. Crystal treated Teddy like her very own “grand dog”. She sent pictures and videos throughout the weekend to give us a glimpse of their day and to reassure us he was doing very well. I’m a meticulous person and she followed all of teddy’s care instructions. She even provided us with tips as new puppy parents. He was calm and relaxed when we picked him up and Ms Crystal even gave him a new toy that he loves! We are so happy we found her! We look forward to booking her first years to come!”

“Brittany was able to answer many questions and provide a meet and greet prior to watching Bean. I had already met with 5 other sitters who weren't the right fit. Brittany came prepared to also ask me questions to Better understand how to best care for Bean. Lima Bean had a great stay even with thunderstorms present which causes her the most anxiety. She was spoiled and even came home with a cute Bandana. Brittany understood how important it was for me to receive multiple updates a day that encompassed pictures. This eased my mind that she was doing well. I would definitely recommend Brittany due to her pet knowledge and friendly personality.”

Katherine would update me with their daily significant adventure like I was reading a story book and help me to stay closer when I’m at a distance. A peaceful and safe wide open neighborhood!
