I was very nervous boarding my puppy for the first time. I wanted someone who would care for Tippy the way I do at home. Thankfully I found Anndrea. Anndrea provides a safe, clean and caring environment in her home. She took excellent care including administering Tippy's medication. She let Tippy explore her completely fenced-in yard and showed how to use a "doggy door." We even got a video of Tippy playing and having fun. This overnight was such a great experience that we've already booked another stay with Anndrea. Thank you Anndrea for making Tippy's stay so pleasant!

Caitlin cared for our dogs in her home and was great. She and her mom took great care of our 2 Shih Tzu-Bichons for about 2 weeks in June while we traveled to Alaska. She sent pictures of the dogs to assure me they had adjusted well to their home away from home. Caitlin also communicated about feeding the dogs when the dogs got picky about their food (we provided our own food, but our dogs are very finicky). I let her know that was totally normal for our dogs. Caitlin provided crates for the dogs, so we didn’t have to lug ours over to her place. Caitlin was very accommodating with pick up and drop off times. We will definitely use her again!

About: I’ve cared for cats and volunteered in cat rescue for over 20 years. I have always been the person friends, family, and neighbors trust with their pets. I currently volunteer in animal rescue, where I care for and foster kittens, senior cats, and cats with medical needs, including administering medications and monitoring their health. As a licensed Community Health Worker with over 20 years in healthcare, I bring patience, attention to detail, and reliability to every visit. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, provide enrichment and affection, and keep owners updated with photos and detailed visit reports. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care is currently one of my main priorities, which allows me to offer a flexible schedule and provide pets with the time and attention they deserve. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends and many holidays. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, medication, playtime, or companionship, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I communicate promptly and provide updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your pet is doing. Caring for animals is more than just a job to me—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare, am a licensed Massachusetts Community Health Worker, and volunteer and foster with the MSPCA of Cape Cod and It’s All About the Animals, Rochester where I regularly care for and foster cats of all ages, including those requiring medications and special medical care. I understand how important it is to earn your trust, so I carefully follow every instruction regarding feeding, medications, walks, litter boxes, and household routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensure doors and gates remain secure, and always provide detailed updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and they are truly the best thing to ever happen to me. I am often called upon to dogsit when family & friends go out of town, I have lots of experience house/dog sitting and when the owners return they always are impressed with how their dog and home were taken care of. I have a rescue dog named Finley who is my whole world so you can rest assured I will treat your dog as my own and spoil them with lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I’m a teacher so weekends I’m always free and am usually always with my dog. I’m available most afternoons for drop in visits or to take your dog for a walk. Summers are also a time when I am completely free and would love to be able to care for your dog(s) while you enjoy a summer vacation! I have a fenced in backyard and a very friendly hound mix dog to keep your dog company. She loves to play and wants to be friends with every dog we meet. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.

We had so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog Violet got along so well with her Piper, and they definitely became fast friends. Cannot recommend her enough!

About: What sets me apart is my combination of professional reliability, medical experience, and genuine love for all pets. I’m skilled with senior care, medication administration (including insulin and eye drops), and providing long, structured walks for energetic dogs. I work remotely, allowing me to give pets full-time attention, and I’m always praised for leaving homes spotless. I adapt to each family's care philosophy, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely and structure my schedule around the pets’ needs. I’m able to provide consistent walks, feedings, medication if needed, and lots of playtime and affection throughout the day. Since I'm home most of the time, pets get plenty of attention and companionship, keeping their routines as normal and comforting as possible. My flexibility means I can adjust easily to each pet’s specific habits, energy levels, and care plans. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their routines and environment as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow the family's care instructions closely — whether that’s walking times, feeding schedules, administering medications, or favorite play activities. I keep the home clean and organized, bring my own supplies when needed, and make sure everything is left even better than I found it. Most importantly, I provide plenty of companionship, exercise, and affection to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while their family is away.

Jen and her family took excellent care of our dog while he was staying with them. She took him for walks, played frisbee and let him run with her dog all day long. Our lab loved it there! They were very friendly, sent lots of pictures and were easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with. We are so grateful to have found her and will definitely be boarding our dog with her again. Tim provided a calm and safe environment for our dog while we were at a family event. He is laid back but made us immediately feel like he would treat our pet as he does his own pet. His dog is a very mellow black lab and the two got along very well. Lady didn't want to get in the car to come home with us!! 😢. It took overnight for her to not be mad at us We feel very lucky to have met Tim on Rover and will definitely contact him this way when we travel again.

There are 336 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Forestdale. About 91% of Forestdale sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
