“We are incredibly happy and grateful for the wonderful care she provided for our little old dog, especially on such short notice. She sent us regular photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind, and the communication was flawless from start to finish. It was clear that our dog was very comfortable and well cared for with her. We would absolutely book her again in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Thank you again for everything!”

“Peter gave our doggo a weekend of walks, trips to the beach and snuggles. It was heaven! Our pup didn’t want to leave! Peter’s dog Snoopy was also an excellent host. Our dogs got along like they were best friends! I cannot recommend Peter enough.”
“Without a doubt whenever we need furbaby care it will be Lisa we turn to. We could not be more delighted with the loving care she gave to our Penny. It was wonderful to be able to go away with the peace of mind knowing our girl was in the kind of caring hands she receives at home. Thank you Lisa! ~ Mark, Mary, & Penny Broderick”

About: i'm great with pets as I've had them my whole life. I love to hang out with them and go outside to play fetch etc. as of now i have no other job so im completely free to give my full undivided attention & support to your furry friends! :) I have a 2yr old super sweet loving golden retriever at home named Winnie & a fenced in backyard where we play and go potty!

About: I've been around dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, so spending time with animals has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up with pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities taught me that every animal has unique needs, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel comfortable and happy. As a pet owner myself, I know how much trust goes into leaving a furry family member with someone else. That's why I take the time to stick to their routine, pay attention to the little details, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and at ease while you're away. Whether they're full of energy, a little timid, or simply happiest relaxing at home, I'll meet them where they are and treat them like part of my own family. My goal is for you to return to a happy companion and feel confident knowing they were in caring, dependable hands. Fortunately, the summer schedule has allowed me to be wide open for any boarding and day drop ins as needed. Plus, I have my own animals, so pet care is an everyday routine in my household. I have a large fenced in yard and a goofy doggo to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog and/or mine if needed.
“We left our dog Charlie for the day/night with Caitlin for the first time this weekend and he was the happiest pup! She communicates great throughout the visit and was super attentive to our dog. Caitlin is caring and friendly and we will absolutely book with her again!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and they are truly the best thing to ever happen to me. I am often called upon to dogsit when family & friends go out of town, I have lots of experience house/dog sitting and when the owners return they always are impressed with how their dog and home were taken care of. I have a rescue dog named Finley who is my whole world so you can rest assured I will treat your dog as my own and spoil them with lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I’m a teacher so weekends I’m always free and am usually always with my dog. I’m available most afternoons for drop in visits or to take your dog for a walk. Summers are also a time when I am completely free and would love to be able to care for your dog(s) while you enjoy a summer vacation! I have a fenced in backyard and a very friendly hound mix dog to keep your dog company. She loves to play and wants to be friends with every dog we meet. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.
“We loved that Karen sent pictures of our Casey every day! It was fun to see Casey enjoying herself with the other dogs there too. We were able to fully enjoy our vacation knowing Casey was in good hands with Karen. We’ll definitely be calling on Karen again when we need a great sitter in the future! Thank you again😊🐕”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I have hands on experience with large breeds and am confident handling bigger dogs with different energy levels. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the importance of patience, comfort as they age. I put a lot of love and care into every pet I watch. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, so I treat every dog as if they were my own. Making sure they feel safe, loved, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule where I work from home somedays. My partner also works 5 minutes from our house and is able to help with potty breaks during the day. We spend a lot of time in our yard or walking the canal on nice days and would love a wagging tail to join us. We have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood to go on walks. We love to go to the canal and spend time outside. We have a fully finished basement with mini splits and air circulation system, perfect for any size dog to enjoy!
“I had to leave my very attached golden doodle overnight for the first time over the weekend when my sister was getting married. Julie offered to do a meet and greet a week ahead of time and immediately put my mind at ease! She is very welcoming ..even comfortable with my dog’s weird quirks (like trying to eat socks eek). It was great that she had a few dogs at once so they could play all day together as well. My dog had a great time and I didn’t have to worry at all while I was with my sister during such an important weekend. I highly recommend Julie. Especially if your dog needs friends to play with and a watchful person to make sure they don’t get into any trouble. :) Thank you so much Julie!”

“What an awesome first Rover experience, from start to finish Brianna made me feel at ease watching my doggo. She met me prior to the stay, sent daily updates, and was accommodating to a last minute pick up change. Will most definitely be contacting her again for future stays. Thank you Bri!!”

“Sam and Pam were wonderful with Finn. They looked after him so well and treated him with such care! We appreciated everything they did for us and Finn loved every minute with them! We absolutely would book them again without question!”

“Ruby was wonderful with our dog, Moose. We were able to leave town and not worry about him. She also sent us some great photos and videos of Moose playing with other dogs in her care. I highly recommend her!”

I can’t even count how many times Marc has watched our dog, Finn. Every single time Finn goes there, he comes home so tired and happy! Marc has the magic touch with animals. Finn loves him and also loves playing with Marc’s 2 dogs plus any other dogs that he might be watching at the same time. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
