About: I’ve had a family dog my whole life, and my fiancé and I hope to have our own someday. Since we’re not able to right now, I get my dog fix through Rover! I’ve been active on Rover for over a year, doing walks, drop-ins, and house sitting pretty consistently. I love getting to care for all different kinds of dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time Monday–Friday from 8:30–4:30, with a lunch break where I can run home if needed. I’m always available on weekends and usually spend that time going on long walks, so I’m happy to include pets in my weekend plans! I treat every pet like my own! I follow their routine, give them plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care.
“Madaket watched our dog Cooper for a week, and was wonderful! She sent us photos each day showing the days activities which included going for walks, playing with her dog Bermuda, and just relaxing. When Cooper came home to us, he was relaxed and happy (unlike when he had been boarded elsewhere). Not only can we highly recommend Madaket to watch your pet, but we have already booked Cooper to be with her again for a couple more stays.”

“Samantha took excellent care of Kiki. She provided a loving environment with lots of petting and walks. I would recommend her and will certainly book with her again in the future.”

“Chelsea is amazing!! She took such good care of our pup and on such short notice 🙏🏼. She is super responsive and communicative. I would highly recommend her! We will definitely be using her services again! ❤️”

“Peter gave our doggo a weekend of walks, trips to the beach and snuggles. It was heaven! Our pup didn’t want to leave! Peter’s dog Snoopy was also an excellent host. Our dogs got along like they were best friends! I cannot recommend Peter enough.”
“Our dog, Auley, has stayed twice with Seonmin and soon for a third time! We trust her completely and haven’t had a single concern. Auley is new to sitters and has some anxieties, but she’s warmed up so quickly each time. We love to see the pictures of her being loved on! Can’t imagine using anyone else!”

“Mike and Kelly were outstanding! Just days before our scheduled boarding, our dog Duncan had to undergo emergency biopsies. Despite this, Mike and Kelly graciously took Duncan in, administered his medications, and ensured he was safe and happy. They kept us updated with photos and regular communication about Duncan’s health. I highly recommend their services—in fact, I already recommended them to a neighbor this afternoon! Thank you Mike and Kelly for taking care of our Duncan!”

“Andrea and Bob were fantastic sitters for our high energy Boston Terrier for a week while we were out of the country. Their home and fenced-in yard were perfect. Each day we received several pictures of her many adventures, which gave us great reassurance that she was happy and receiving plenty of attention. They even dropped CiCi off to our home and coordinated hand-off details with a friend when we were out of reach. Everything was handled with great care and responsibility. Highly recommend!”

“Gabby and her family were amazing at taking care of Luna. They were so nice, responsive, and accommodating to Luna that we really appreciate. Luna left a happy girl with a chewing toy as well! Highly recommend!”

“Shatane and her family were absolutely amazing with my two dogs. They sent great updates of how they were doing and amazing pictures and videos. Have both my dogs plenty of exercise outside in the backyard and treated them as if they were their own. It made a week of travel less stressful to know my two were taken care of so well. Highly recommend.”

“Harriet and her “family” provided such a warm, safe and fun stay for our Chloe. She sent regular photos and videos so we were at ease during our vacation. Chloe is looking forward to her next stay. Would highly recommend!”

“Isabella and her Fiancée, Connor, were amazing. Our dogs can be a bit needy and timid. Based on the daily pictures Isabella sent us, the pups were having the time of their lives (my golden retriever was actually a bit sad to leave.) Great at responding and flexible to our schedule. We’d absolutely use them again in the future.”

“Hanna took excellent care of our Goldendoodle Winston. She was very quick to respond to my inquiries and provided great updates on how Winston was doing. Highly recommend Hanna for dog care!”

“Rebekah and her daughter were great with our pups. We could tell that they were so happy spending two weeks with the family. We felt so comfortable leaving our dogs with them.”

“Sarah took our pup for a week while my family went on vacation. She was wonderful with daily updates and photos (great communication). Will definitely be using her again. Our pup was happy and comfortable”

“Taylor and Tyler took amazing care of our dog Darcy! She had a lot of fun, and was in high spirits at pickup time. It was also really nice to get updates and photos from Taylor & Tyler during her stay. We'll definitely be back next time we're visiting the area. Thanks!”

“Jenny took care of Ace within last minute need. She was amazing. Ace liked her from the moment he met her. She kept me in the loop about how Ace is doing and send pictures Proffesional and kind. Thanks Jenny See you in the summer.”

“Zuzana was the perfect pet sitter for our miniature poodle, Charly. She communicated quickly and from the very beginning provided a welcoming environment for Charly. Thanks to the photos and videos she sent, we were able to rest assured Charly was in good hands. We hope Zuzana will be available the next time we look for a sitter. Thanks!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Barnstable
I am so pleased with the care my cavapoo,Kirby, received from Katie and Jesse. He fit right in with their dog as they played, had a walk, and slept near each other. The family was loving and calm and their son was gentle and attentive to both dogs. The overnight stay was smooth with no mishaps or behavior issues. When we picked him up the next day, Kirby greeted us happy and tired. He watched his new friend as we drove away. I definitely will contact them again when we need doggy daycare or an overnight stay. It was a wonderful reassuring experience with others caring for our family member.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
