About: Hello! My name is Brianna, and I grew up having dogs and cats all my life. I would love to be able to help someone out by taking care of their beloved pet. I am an athletic and energetic person, so going on walks/runs is always my favorite! I also love staying indoors to play and give affection. I had a 13 year old rescue pitbull, as well as experience fostering puppies! I love them all. I currently work part time, so my schedule is flexible. I would love to incorporate more pet care into my weekdays. I also have some dog lovers at home that would love an extra part-time furry companion. I am a responsible pet owner that would care for someones pet with as much love as my own. I can crate a dog if a crate is provided.

About: Working professional on Cape starting Rover to exercise more and be with animals! Your pup or kitty come first: what are the instructions we talked about? What’s their mood/temperament at this visit? How many cute pics can I get before my phone storage is full again? Jokes aside, your pets routine and health/safety are what I’m here to maintain — I’ll communicate, play, chat while I give them meds wrapped in peanut butter — you name it, I am paying attention to them. I am in it for the quality animal time! I spent my childhood with horses and learned young how deeply connected we are to our animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life until lately. I’d be delighted to meet some of you here on Cape to watch over your little ones! I work full time and am available for dog walks reliably all weekend and after work. I accept weekend dog boarding. Cat boarding I accept throughout the week in addition to weekends. The animal comes first, simple as that. I offer dog walks around Cape, in home visits to feed and play in the yard, and selective boarding of pups in my own home as that’s limited to weekends only. I offer house visits to kitties as well as selective boarding in my own home. Each scenario is unique — let’s chat!

About: Hi there! I’m a professional veterinary technician with four years of hands-on clinical experience. My background means I bring a much higher level of care, safety, and medical knowledge to your pets than your average pet sitter. I am currently a stay at home mom once my kiddos go off to school for the day. I’ll have late mornings into afternoons for your pet needs. I will not be doing any pet sitting at my own home, but if there ever was an opportunity where it could work out and was needed I do have a fenced in yard and a dog friendly dog

Julie was great! She was able to work with two mostly untrained dogs (but very sweet!) at a house without a fence. The dogs were happy, tired, and had no accidents in the house. We loved the photos we received along with the updates. I didn't worry at all while we were away. We would definitely recommend!!

Whatever anyone needs I am willing to be flexible to their pets and the families I have a fully fenced in yard with lots of room to run around. I have a loving lab that would love to have a playmate. However I also have two extra rooms and will be willing to separate the dogs for whatever reason. Anything to make your fur baby feel more at home

About: Hi, my name is Taylor. I’m a 23 year old nurse who works evenings at a rehab unit. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have a 6 month old very friendly, gentle and kind German Shepherd who I have trained on my own. Since I have most mornings off, I thought I could use my free time playing with other dogs, feeding, walking or as desired. Will runwith dogs if they enjoy jogging. Love grooming animals. Also if wanted more puppy/dog interactions, my Shepherd could go for walks as well or play in the yard for socialization or energy exertion. I am good with all dogs, all shapes and sizes and I’m strong for my size so bring on the big dogs who like to pull or jump. Excited to meet you and your furry friends!

Kelly was amazing!! She took the time to get to know Layla and work through some nervousness on her first day. When you are traveling and things at home are not under your control, knowing Kelly was going to make sure Layla was taken care of. I cannot say enough how much that put my mind to rest!!!!

We have had such wonderful experiences with Daniel & Tonja. They are incredibly attentive, compassionate, and truly went above and beyond for our family and our pets. What meant the most to us was the kindness they showed during a really difficult time. After our English bulldog, Lizzie, passed away unexpectedly, they took the time to get us a heartfelt card. That level of thoughtfulness speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. It’s rare to find someone who not only provides excellent care, but also genuinely cares about the families they work with. We are so grateful for their support and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a West Barnstable stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Barnstable choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in West Barnstable with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Barnstable. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
