Lisa F.

“We booked Lisa for the week of Thanksgiving . Our six-year-old pup Oliver loved staying at Lisa’s home. He got along wonderfully with her two dogs and was cared for with the upmost attention. Lisa sent photos of Oliver every day to keep us up to date, and he was walked each day. We will definitely rebooking with Lisa again.”

Marc A.

“My pup loves staying at Marc's and being part of the pack. She is excited to be dropped off and comes home clean and happy! Bonus: Marc got some GREAT pictures of her!”

Alyne R.

“Alyne watched my 1yr 3mo old Boston Terrier, “Bōdie, while I was away for 6 days. Our meet and greet was smooth and easy. Alyne is a very calming personality and Bōdie took to her immediately as he did with her Dog Bruce. It all seemed like a good fit which was relieving since Bōdie has some challenges with anxiety. I felt lucky that we found a match. I dropped Bōdie off on a Saturday afternoon and went to Boston for a flight out early the next morning. I got a text from Alyne that Bōdie was not doing well. He was nervous, and agitated. He lunged at Alyne’s mom and it was difficult to introduce him to her boyfriend. Bōdie was not adjusting well. Yet I was about to board a plane to Arizona in 20 minutes. I was so concerned and upset for my dog at that time. I had to figure out the best thing to do on the fly. I started texting with my dog trainer who really calmed me down and gave instructions to handle Bōdie’s stress. I copied and pasted everything the trainer said to Alyne. Then I introduced them to each other on a text string in case Alyne needed any support from Emma during the time I was away and unavailable. All I could do was let go and trust that Alyne would care for Bōdie in a compassionate way even though he was presenting a challenge. I asked her to please understand Bōdie was scared and have understanding. I was really worried but had to try to let it go so it would not ruin my trip. Alyne would send me occasional updates on Bodie’s progress which was often not so good. Alyne let me know that since Bōdie had some bad behaviors she would have to crate him to de stimulate him. “If he is being aggressive I will have to keep him in the crate”. I totally understood Alyne’s position and told her that I agreed with her point of view. I was apologetic yet also worried for my dog. So, this situation was not a good one. But here is what I want to tell you, my assessment of Alyne was that she was calm, compassionate, and accountable. For this reason I decided that she would do the best that she could given his anxiety. She was forthright in informing me that she would have to limit his exposure to others if he misbehaved. But I could also tell that she was mindful that he was a scared puppy and she did not seem to hold that against him. She made sure he had play time with other dogs that he got along with. And she administered a prescription ointment to a skin condition that he had over his eye which was unrelated to the visit. The skin condition was improved when I came back. She made sure he had exercise, was fed properly etc. During the visit, Alyne indicated that Bōdie would likely not be welcomed back for future visits, which I understood fully. I did pick him up 18 hours earlier than scheduled to make it easier for her and did not ask for any refund for the final day which she deserved for her trouble. When I did pick him up last night, he was very skittish and over stimulated. I put him in his crate in the car where he calmed down. Then I talked with Alyne for a good 20 mins and she told me of her experiences and observation of Bōdie over the past five days. I got great feedback from Alyne that I will use with my trainer in future sessions. I saw where and how she isolated Bōdie and it is exactly what a I would have done if I were in her position. At the end. Alyne even mentioned that it might be possible to just have Bōdie come for occasional day-care-only sessions to help him desensitize more gradually. (Perhaps she saw a possibility for him after all?) It may have just been a case of too-much-too-soon. This revealed to me Alyne’s true level of compassion for dogs in general. It told me that she was not ruffled easily and understood Bodie’s plight. I was amazed as I drove away with the impression that she would be open to a day care session with him in the future, given the right circumstances. I took Bōdie home. He was skittish and jumpy. He pulled on the leash and growled. But I sat him on the bed and gave him treats every time he looked in my eyes. And he calmed down. Then I took him in the shower and he simply melted into me and relaxed under the warm water. He was home. Today he is back to minding and being a happy puppy. I can see that he will need a little bit of training reinforcement but that is to be expected and all is well. This was a situation that, with different people, could have been a disaster. But because Alyne and I were both willing to work together and we understood each other’s position, we each did what we could do to make the best of the situation. We each tried to make it easier for the other, it ended up with a positive outcome. There is one thing that I wish Alyne would have done. And that is just to let me know: “I got this” , “he will be ok, I will just have to isolate him at times and this will work out.” It would have been really helpful if she would have reassured me that, though there were difficulties, she would handle it and that she would be accountable to keep my puppy well. I needed that from her. It is for that reason that my rating for Alyne is 4.5 on the scale of 5. But since a .5 score is not calibrated into this system I would have to judge her closer to the 5. As it was, I got the reassurance from Bodie’s trainer who was also at an airport headed to another state. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend Alyne as a possible go-to care for your dog when you are away. Even though she might not actually say it, she “is” accountable to do her job for you and your beloved pet. Alyne is also straight forward and will tell it to you like it is. But that is a good thing because you will always know where she stands. Her communication is clear. Another thing : Bōdie came home clean. He smelled good. The shower was not because he needed it, it was to calm him down. All of his belongings were returned in the same condition as they were. No dirty leash or collar etc. I just had to clean out one ear! Lol. Alyne said that one of his toys was lost and she looked for it but couldn’t find it. It was no big deal to me. I barely remembered what it was. Go ahead, make the appointment with her. Even if there is a challenge, it will work out, if you work together.”

Cindi C.

“I first met Cindi early in May at the "Meet and Greet." Her home is lovely, and so is Cindi. I immediately felt comfortable and knew this was going to be a great match. My dog liked being there, and when we dropped her off for her 3-day "vacation," she was happy to see Cindi again. She took Rosie on long walks, played ball with her on the beach, and went above and beyond to entertain her. Each day Cindi sent us a text with photos summarizing her day with Rosie. We look forward to seeing Cindi in the future.”

Caroline C.

“As devoted parents of a 14 1/2 year old Norwich terrier, Pumpkin, we were highly satisfied to find Caroline and had a great boarding experience for our baby. We had a meet and greet at Caroline’s house when we booked to make sure there was a good fit and could tell that Caroline, with her own three rescues, was a real dog lover. We were also impressed with the responsive communications before and during the the boarding period, and even received many photos over the long weekend showing our girl was happy and well cared for. We rate Caroline as *Outstanding* and are looking forward to calling on her to care for Pumpkin in the future.”

Mary C.

“Our dog stayed with Mary for 10 days and she took good care of him. I especially liked the fact she had us to her house for a meet and greet ahead of time. We had the opportunity to get to know her, her husband and their dog. We also talked about how the two dogs would interact. It gave us a great sense of comfort while we were away. We hope to have Mary help us again.”

Mike L.

“Great communication and very accommodating, especially on a holiday. Very good with dogs and great backyard. Will definitely ask to book with him next time I am on the cape”

Stephanie H.

“I can't say enough great things about Stephanie. I can't imagine leaving Duke with anyone else at this point. This was a family emergency and I needed to leave town and Stephanie was more than flexible and willing to take on a last minute booking with her. I still got daily photos and updates as I had in the past. I highly recommend using her services; you will be more than satisfied!”

Shannon M.
“My pets love Shannon and are often reticent to leave her and come home! She cares for them as if they are her own and I always feel comfortable being away knowing that they’re in her care. She gives love and attention and is exceptionally mindful as a caregiver. Absolutely trust her above anyone else!”

Tj D.
“TJ is a true dog lover with a great grasp of training fundamentals and canine behavior. She has both walked and provided dog-sitting for my very anxious dog, who loves her. I definitely recommend her. 10/10!”

Peter C.
“Peter gave our doggo a weekend of walks, trips to the beach and snuggles. It was heaven! Our pup didn’t want to leave! Peter’s dog Snoopy was also an excellent host. Our dogs got along like they were best friends! I cannot recommend Peter enough.”

caitlin b.

“Ruby had a great time at Caitlin B.’s house. She got along well with Caitlin’s dogs and loved hanging out with her sons. Caitlin is a very special woman who is kind and loving and is so easy to work with. It was a pleasure to meet her and trust Ruby to her care.”

Debra A.

“So happy to have left our Dog with Deb while away, she reached out to notify me she had a cancelation and could take out dog which really saved us in a pinch!!! Her house and yard were so much better for him than having to board in a typical crate/kennel setting!!! She obviously loves dogs and took great care of our dogs!!! She was flexible with us and we will definitely be using her again!!! Highly recommended!!”
