I was very nervous to leave my puppy for the first time overnight. Anndrea did a meet and great with me and my puppy prior to booking and that helped a great deal. While my dog stayed she communicated with me via texting, pictures and videos throughout his first day/night. Having this communication with pictures and videos really helped me to feel extremely comfortable and at ease. I will use her again for my dog and I highly recommend her as a sitter.

Jennifer was amazing. Highly recommend hiring her to watch your pet. Communication was flawless from start to finish, and she was always incredibly quick to respond to my text updates. I loved receiving the photos she sent throughout the weekend, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to make my dog feel at home. She spent time playing fetch—my dog's absolute favorite game—and was highly observant and adaptable when Daisy interacted with her own two dogs, ensuring all the pups felt safe and comfortable. To top it all off, she even sent my dog home with a toy she had fallen in love with during her stay. I will absolutely be booking her again!

Heather and her family took excellent care of our senior dog, Kia while we were on a camping trip. Kia suffers from anxiety and requires medication to keep it at bay. Heather gave her the medication she needed along with increased potty breaks to help her relax as much as she could. Kia loved hanging out with the family boxer and another small hound dog that came to visit one day. This was our first time using Rover.com and it was a very positive experience!

Alyne was absolutely outstanding!!!! She went above and beyond for our pup Lona while she was there. We were very glad to see that Lona’s tail was wagging when we would drop her off and she went with Alyne no problem! We hope to be able to use Alyne again sometime in the future!

Without a doubt whenever we need furbaby care it will be Lisa we turn to. We could not be more delighted with the loving care she gave to our Penny. It was wonderful to be able to go away with the peace of mind knowing our girl was in the kind of caring hands she receives at home. Thank you Lisa! ~ Mark, Mary, & Penny Broderick

Caitlin is fantastic and took excellent care of Billie. I had no worries about leaving her for a week. Caitlin was great about sending photos every day. I'll let my dog speak for herself--when I picked Billie up, she was calm and content and happy to see me. Knowing Billie was being well cared for gave us peace of mind while we were away.

About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. Our goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, so you can relax while you’re away. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to set up a meet & greet—we’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine because we both work from home full-time. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

Jen and her family took excellent care of our dog while he was staying with them. She took him for walks, played frisbee and let him run with her dog all day long. Our lab loved it there! They were very friendly, sent lots of pictures and were easy to coordinate pick up and drop off with. We are so grateful to have found her and will definitely be boarding our dog with her again. She was wonderful!

Larisa and her pups took such great care of our girl Georgia while we were away visiting family. Larisa sent videos, photos and updates each day we were gone to show us how well Georgia was being taken care of! Georgia got to go on beautiful walks around a bog, play in Larisa's yard and even got to lounge in multiple nap spots. Georgia got along so well with Daisy and Tess, Larisa's doggies, and I know they were an added benefit to her stay! We were so happy that Georgia was so happy and would absolutely seek out Larisa's care again!

We left our Pomeranian mix with Anndrea for a week. Scout is a rescue and has some anxiety and belly issues, but right from the start, Anndrea made sure that Scout had time and space to adapt to his new surroundings. She has her own two dogs and cares for other dogs during the week as well. Scout quickly became one of the gang and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. Anndrea has a background in Veterinary care and helped to adjust Scout's diet and add probiotics (with my permission) which helped his belly problems. I got multiple pictures and videos every day which I appreciated, and the setup in her background is ideal for lots of fun puppy play. I would totally recommend Anndrea to care for your furry friends.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
