About: Hi! We’re a dependable, dog-loving family offering in-home dog boarding and dog sitting on Cape Cod. If you’re looking for a safe, attentive, and comfortable home for your dog while you’re away, you’ve found it. We both work from home, so your dog will never be alone. We have a small, friendly Labradoodle who loves other dogs and is very used to sharing his space. Because of that, visiting dogs typically adjust quickly and feel right at home here. We’ve cared for many friends’ dogs over the years, including puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We’re comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and routines, from active dogs who need lots of playtime and walks to more relaxed dogs who just want a calm, cozy environment. We have used pet sitters several times for our own travels, so we know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your beloved fur baby with a stranger. We will make your dog one of our family and give you regular updates, including photos. We know how important it is to trust who you leave your dog with. Our goal is simple: make your dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, so you can relax while you’re away. This allows us to build our day around the dogs in our care rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Our typical day includes morning potty breaks and walks, followed by a relaxed workday where dogs have plenty of supervision, companionship, and opportunities to go outside as needed. We take breaks throughout the day for playtime, short walks, and attention, depending on each dog’s energy level and routine. In the evenings, we usually incorporate longer walks, playtime, or wind-down time, making sure dogs are settled and comfortable before bedtime. Because dogs are part of our home environment, they’re included in our daily rhythm—not treated as an afterthought. On weekends, we’re generally home and maintain a similar routine, with even more flexibility for walks, outdoor time, and one-on-one attention. Overall, having dogs in our care is something we genuinely enjoy and prioritize, and our schedule allows us to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the day and week. We care for every dog as if they’re our own, with a focus on keeping their routine consistent, their environment safe, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Before any stay, we take time to understand your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any quirks or preferences—so we can mirror what they’re used to at home as closely as possible. In our home, dogs get: Plenty of supervision (we both work from home, so they’re rarely alone) Regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime based on their energy level A calm, safe environment with space to relax or socialize Lots of attention and affection throughout the day We’re also comfortable administering basic medications if needed and following any specific care instructions you provide.

“Having moved recently to New Bedford, we didn´t have any close friends or relatives to leave our Lhasa Apso Johann with. We are so glad we came accross Taylor and Tyler on the Rover platform. They responded to my first contact almost immediately and were very attentive in getting back to me so we could arrange our meet and greet. They took care of Johann for 5 nights and would send me pictures daily and keep me posted. Johann adapted very well and we could see he was being well taken care of and having a fun time! We are so happy and thankful we now have a place to leave him when we next have to travel without him!”

“Kathleen was such a joy to work with when my husband and I were looking for someone to care for our black lab (1.25 years old) while away on a long weekend trip. From the initial outreach, Kathleen was extremely responsive and accommodating to schedule a meet up before booking. She was extremely welcoming and loving to our pup. Kathleen also was very easy to communicate with in the days leading up to our trip to make sure we were all on the same page with the time to drop off Chappy and other details of his stay. During the stay, Kathleen provided multiple updates each day - many walks, lots of play time, videos, pictures, and texts to ensure he was having a great time and doing well. We felt so comfortable with Kathleen watching Chappy, especially since this was our first time using Rover and having someone other than family watch our dog. Kathleen was extremely organized, returning all of Chappy’s items we left her with and was very easy to work with. We would definitely recommend working with Kathleen and we will definitely book with Kathleen again for future needs when we are away. She was so great!”

Spent 6 months volunteering at an animal shelter. Have completed Two separate 10 session dog training courses with a certified dog trainer. Have completed online Instructional courses on E-collar training and behavior modification. My family and I currently have two dogs and a lizard, so pet care is part of our daily routine, 24/7 365. My own dogs are walked daily and stimulated through play and training. When we are home as a family, the dogs are out with us enjoying life. When we are out of the house, they are either crated or secured in a room with fresh water. Safety/Security and respecting the animals are my core values. While the animals in my home are cared for like family, they are taught to respect boundaries and work for affection. In my care, pets are leashed unless they are in a secure, fenced area. I take the time to understand each animal is an individual who has unique needs.
