“Gabrielle was amazing!!! Our three dogs were immediately comfortable with her and so were we. If we are ever in Falmouth area again with our pups we would definitely to have Gabrielle pet sit for us!!”

“Cecilia took great care of Ian…he was so comfortable with her he slept next to her, and was relaxed and happy when I got back. She sent lots of updates with pictures, which helped me know everything was going well. Excellent in every way”

“Eva's care and devotion for Stella (and my home) exceeded all expectations. This was my first experience with a dog sitter in my home (rather than friend/family) and I'm grateful Rover helped me find Eva. I'm happy to provide more information about my experience with anyone who'd like that.”

“Nikki is wonderful!! We have an 11 year old chocolate lab, Irish, who has some quirky behaviors - Nikki sat for us for 6 days and she and Irish had a wonderful time! Nikki provided frequent updates on how things were going which put us at ease! We are so glad we have found someone who is respectful and capable to watch Irish and our home while we travel. Thank you Nikki!! We will have you back often!”
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, especially dogs. My first pup was an Irish Setter when I was just four, and over the years my family rescued many dogs — including plenty of Basset Hounds — so I’m comfortable with all kinds of breeds and personalities. I’m now a cat owner as well — it’s a new experience, but one I’ve grown to love. At the moment, I’m available nearly every day, including weekends, thanks to a flexible work schedule. I’m happy to work around your needs and adjust as things come up. My kids are fully grown, so I have some more time on my hands! I’m completely comfortable crating dogs when needed, and I’m confident handling daily walks, potty breaks, and general exercise routines to make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and well‑cared for.
“Abby was amazing!!! She was very communicative, thoughtful around our home, and went above and beyond to make sure our two dogs were incredibly well taken care of. We would love to hire her again in the future.”

“Kathleen was wonderful with our dog. I would trust her anytime to watch our dog. She was very kind and responsible. Our dog had a wonderful time and was very happy the whole time. Kathleen sent videos and really put us at ease while we were away. Thank you Kathleen. We are so glad we found you.”

“Emily took great care of our two (very large) dogs! She also sent pictures of our cat, brought in packages, and was a big help filling in last minute when another sitter canceled. Would definitely rebook!”

About: I’m new on Rover, but over the past 15 years, I have provided dedicated pet sitting services for a wide variety of families, including those living on military bases. My experience spans everything from large, powerful breeds to timid rescues to small dogs with big personalities (yes, “little dog syndrome” included!). This extensive background, combined with owning a high energy Brittany Spaniel and a gentle Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has given me a deep, well rounded understanding of different breed temperaments, sizes, and personalities. From confident big dogs to nervous rescues to feisty little ones. I know how to build trust with a rescue that needs extra patience, redirect a small dog’s big attitude, and safely manage a large dog’s strength and energy. Whether your dog needs vigorous exercise, specialized attention, or careful adherence to specific neighborhood boundaries, I bring the experience, trust, and reliability needed to keep your pets safe, happy, and completely at ease. I operate on a highly flexible schedule, allowing me to adapt completely to whatever your pup’s routine looks like. Because I work with a highly flexible schedule, I am able to dedicate plenty of time and structured care to your dog. Whether they need energetic play sessions, a long walk to explore, or just a cozy spot on the couch to relax, I adapt completely to whatever your pup's routine looks like. When your pup is with me, you can expect regular text updates and plenty of cute photos so you can have total peace of mind! Safety is my absolute top priority, and I treat every guest pup with the exact same vigilance and care that I give my own two dogs. Because I have 15 years of pet sitting experience including caring for pets throughout different communities I am highly disciplined, respect home rules, and am deeply familiar with maintaining strict safety guidelines and neighborhood boundaries. In My Care & Environment: 📍 Supervised and Secure: Pets under my care are never left unattended in unsecured areas. I am extremely mindful of door safety, ensuring pups are secure before any entryways are opened. 🐾 Tailored to Their Needs: With a high energy Brittany and a gentle Cavalier of my own, plus years of experience with large breeds, rescues, and small dogs with big personalities, I know how to keep energetic dogs safely stimulated, help nervous rescues settle in and feel secure, and give small or sensitive dogs the patience and structure they need to feel completely protected and relaxed. 📸 Clear Communication: I believe trust is built through transparency. You will receive regular check ins, updates, and photo updates so you always know your baby is safe, happy, and thriving. 📋 Strict Adherence to Routines: Whether your pup has specific dietary restrictions, precise medication schedules, or distinct boundary training rules, I follow your instructions down to a T. My goal is to provide a reliable, peaceful, and incredibly safe environment so you can travel with absolute peace of mind!
“We have a dog that is reactive and it was wonderful to come home to find her calm and happy. We could not be more pleased with the care she got, the pictures we saw, the conditon of our house when we returned home. We will hopefully be able to use Jared many more times in the future.”

“Duncan was super communicative, and checked in with us each day, to let us know how our girl was doing. Our dog was very relaxed by the time we got home, thanks to receiving loads of attention, and the house was immaculate. Highly recommend Duncan for your pet!”

“Emma was wonderful watch Max for a few hours at our home. Our beagle gets anxious when we go out but Emma calmed him down and sent us pics. I highly recommend her to care for your dog .”

“Melissa is our German Shepherd’s new best friend! She made sure he was loved while we were away and stayed with him at our house, sending us pictures and updates daily. We were so lucky to have her around to care for our pup in the comfort of his own home because of his age and separation anxiety. She truly helped put him and us at ease. Thank You Melissa!”

About: Life long animal lover looking for some extra furry snuggles. Let me take care of your baby! I am located in the Forestdale area of Sandwich. I do have one dog of my own a very sweet and energetic Australian cattle dog and shepherd mix named Scottie. He is friendly with most dogs, as long as they are friendly in return. I take care of both dogs & cats. I am comfortable with small, medium and large size dogs. I have had cats, a bunny and a family dog growing up so I am used to being around lots of animals. I am also experienced with senior dogs as well as medication administration. I also have experience with e-collar training if that is something you wish to work on with your dog. I recently stepped away from my full time job so my availability is very open. Please reach out to me and let me know about you and your pets needs. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you both! I recently stepped away from my full time job in the culinary industry so my schedule is quite open and flexible. I have AM & PM availability. I have a dog of my own and have had multiple family pets over the years. I have always struggled with trustworthy and reliable pet care so it is my goal to provide exactly that for you.
“While we were away for a medical procedure, our 15 year old dog became quite ill, requiring lots of attention and complex caregiving — and house cleaning — as well as comforting. Caitlin managed all parts of this VERY difficult booking, which was much more than she bargained for, with competence and grace , and kept her safe and comfortable while we scheduled the Vet and raced home. We were so relieved to have such close and competent attention for our little girl, and grateful for Caitlin‘s grace and confidence at a precarious time. We can’t say enough good about Caitlin and we can’t thank herenough.”

“Paige was fantastic! We have a Jack Russell mix who has a lot of energy and needs to go out and walk and play a lot! Also, because of a health condition, requires a bit more care and has to be very regimented. Paige took care of everything! I was able to enjoy my vacation without any worry or hesitation that my girl would be cared for like she was Paige’s own! Bonus — She sent me pics everyday! Paige will be my go to and I would recommend her to any and everyone!”

“Rachael is an outstanding dog sitter. We had Rachael watch our dog Otis for an overnight stay at home. Plans had to change on our end and Rachael was so accommodating. By her staying and taking such great care of Otis and our home we were able to focus on what we had to that weekend. The pictures and update sent were wonderful ! I highly recommend Rachael for any needs that you have and Otis will be seeing her again !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Falmouth
Carly was a dream come true for us! She took care of our mini dachshund in our home for 2 weeks and we don’t have one negative thing to say about her! She taught our dog new things, took her for several walks a day, followed her schedule perfectly and gave her more love and cuddles than we could have hoped for! Not only did she do all of this, but when we came home we came home to a beautifully bathed pup. a nice clean home, sheets changed on the bed and everything ready for us to take over. She is the best in the industry!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Falmouth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Falmouth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Falmouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
