About: I’ve been taking care of peoples pets since I was 14. I have two golden retrievers, one of which I have had since I was 6, so I am experienced with high energy pups! I also have one cat who is a little prickly so I am experienced with difficult cats. My mom says I have a “way with animals” and I would love to meet yours! I am a recent college grad so my schedule is pretty open as I look for a full time job. I can work weekends and weekdays- day or night! Pets in my care are always guaranteed a fun time! I am energetic and love to play. I always stick to regular feeding and bathroom times to ensure the best care!

Gail is a loving and conscientious sitter. This was my first time using Rover and I was feeling quite a lot of anxiety about leaving my cat with a stranger. But Gail came over for a meet and greet and Charley took to her very quickly. Gail is trustworthy and made me feel very comfortable with leaving my Charley in her hands. She sent multiple daily pictures and updates, spent time playing g and loving up on her and Charley was fine and happy when I came home.

About: I have my own dog named Oakley and she is my best friend. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as neighbors’ pets, giving me experience with different animals, personalities, and routines. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every pet like family. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, and pets with different needs, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially after a long day of work. I love coming home and spending time with animals—seeing a happy pet after a long day is honestly the best reward there is. I’m happy to make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention and care they deserve. I always make sure pets are in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m responsible, attentive, and make sure pets feel secure and cared for while their owners are away.

I would be so excited to help provide your pets with the care, attention, and companionship they deserve while you’re away or busy. My schedule is extremely flexible, making me available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, and I also have experience and a genuine love for cats, small animals, reptiles, birds, and even fish! I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets, and I would treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to become a trusted sitter for you and your pets, and I would absolutely love to meet you and your furry, feathered, or scaly family members! I’ve lived on Cape Cod my entire life, so I know the area like the back of my hand—and I’ve discovered some gorgeous walking trails that I’d love to explore with your pup! I currently work part-time at PetSmart, where I care for our small animals, fish, birds, and reptiles, giving me hands-on experience with a wide variety of pets. I also occasionally work alongside our dog trainer, practicing basic commands such as sit and stay. I’d love to give your pet some fresh air, exercise, and adventure while providing the same attentive and compassionate care I bring to my work every day! 🐾 Safety First! Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I am CPR & First Aid certified ( can also provide my certificate) I’m comfortable with crating, leashing, harnesses, secure door and gate practices, and other general safety routines to help keep your pets safe and comfortable. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and will always take the extra precautions necessary to ensure they’re in a secure, supervised, and loving environment.

About: I’ve had a family dog my whole life, and my fiancé and I hope to have our own someday. Since we’re not able to right now, I get my dog fix through Rover! I’ve been active on Rover for over a year, doing walks, drop-ins, and house sitting pretty consistently. I love getting to care for all different kinds of dogs and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time Monday–Friday from 8:30–4:30, with a lunch break where I can run home if needed. I’m always available on weekends and usually spend that time going on long walks, so I’m happy to include pets in my weekend plans! I treat every pet like my own! Katie was wonderful. She visited Wally at the requested times. She played with him and definitely spent time keeping him company when we weren't there. And, the texts with pictures were so cute and gave us the peace of mind that Wally was being well cared for. We would use her again when we go away.

My sweet little beagle has had bouts of separation anxiety in the past and can be alarmed by other dogs, but in Hailey’s expert hands he felt cared for and protected, and he thrived the week we were gone. Hailey is wise in how she handles her charges, fantastic with communication, professional and outstanding in every way. We love to be home with our pets but when we do have to go away, we will definitely rebook with Hailey. She’s the best!

About: Hi, my name is Taylor. I’m a 23 year old nurse who works evenings at a rehab unit. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have a 6 month old very friendly, gentle and kind German Shepherd who I have trained on my own. Since I have most mornings off, I thought I could use my free time playing with other dogs, feeding, walking or as desired. Will runwith dogs if they enjoy jogging. Love grooming animals. Also if wanted more puppy/dog interactions, my Shepherd could go for walks as well or play in the yard for socialization or energy exertion. I am good with all dogs, all shapes and sizes and I’m strong for my size so bring on the big dogs who like to pull or jump. Excited to meet you and your furry friends!

As of September 2026, there are 419 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Forestdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forestdale. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
