About: My family has had at least one dog most of my life, one of which became my best friend, and he (Bear) was the reason I named my current dog (Polar) after him. I have my own 100+ pound white Lab who had a whole lot of energy when he was a puppy ,so I am familiar with how crazy the young ones (and older ones too) can get. I do have an alley behind my house where very rarely somebody in the neighborhood might walk their dog, but the strong chain link fence will keep them separate. Inside has miscellaneous stuff around the house that may be an issue if your dog chews items, but I can identify and remove any distractions deemed necessary. My current pets consist of an adopted 2 year old Labrador/Retriever mix and a red-eared turtle, that my son graciously brought home from a junior year field trip, 10 years ago. Six years ago, my partner and I adopted our corgi, Pippin. He is truly my child and the household revolves around him. Leah was absolutely wonderful with Shelby, our dog. The first time she came over to meet Shelby, I knew she was great with dogs.
