“Where do I even begin? Kat was fantastic from our very first phone call where we talked for 45 minutes so that I could get to know her and she could hear about my two senior pups and all their quirks. We haven’t left our dogs with anyone in years because they have so many needs that it’s hard to leave. Their many, many medicines and beginnings of incontinence were no issue for Kat. I knew they were going to be in great hands. Kat gave our dogs so much attention and care— they were spoiled while she was here with bones, walks, baths, and cuddles. They were also rarely, if ever, left alone while they were in her care. She’s very attentive. Not only that— but she CLEANS. I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I was to come home to a home that was not only clean, but even cleaner than how we left it. With two older dogs and a toddler, it’s hard for me to find time to clean everything to the level I want. Kat deep cleaned things in my bathroom that have been on my to-do list for months (all unprompted)! Despite my telling her not to worry about cleaning the poop in the backyard (because we had gotten behind and hadn’t cleaned any of it during the winter), she cleaned all of it and our yard looked pristine. She did laundry in addition to everything that got dirtied by my dogs’ accidents. She’s easy to work with and will take amazing care of your pets and home. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: UPDATE JULY 2024, PLEASE READ: If you see that my reply time is incredibly slow, it's because my account was inactive for a while due to my dad being hospitalized. I had to help care for him for a long period of time and I was unable to reply to any messages on Rover. My dad is okay now and I am available for walks and sitting again. I was a dog groomer for almost 2 years. I'm well-trained in animal safety. I care deeply about all animals, so I'll form a bond with your animals. I'm currently unemployed, so I'll have loads of time to provide love for your animals of any kind! Just let me know what you need/what you're looking for! I understand the basics of taking care of dogs, cats and other animals just like most pet sitters. But I also provide what some sitters don't: love! I'm very sweet and I can give your animals great love and care. Plus, I'll provide some pretty amazing photos of them. About: Hi, I’m Lauren! I work from home, which gives me a flexible daytime schedule, and I’m also available evenings and weekends. I’m comfortable administering both pill and liquid oral medications, so you can feel confident your pet will be well cared for. I currently have two dogs and two cats of my own, and I’ve had animals my entire life, I have always been passionate about their care. I treat every animal like they’re part of my family and always aim to provide a safe, loving, and stress free experience. I work from home so I enjoy getting out of the house and going on walks later in the day. On the weekends I like to stay busy. I always try to meet your pets while you're home if possible, this helps keep your pets from getting anxious meeting a new face. When going on walks I try to meet the dogs pace to make them as comfortable as possible, I often go on runs with my own dogs. About: I started pet sitting as a teenager for neighbors and family friends. Since then, I have watched all types of dogs, including senior dogs. I became a dog owner for the first time in my mid-twenties. He was an elderly beagle mix with health issues. After he passed, I grieved until I was ready to own a dog again. Then I had ten wonderful years with Shadow, a husky mix who was a stray that made his way to a rescue. He bravely fought lymphoma for 1.5 years before succumbing to the disease. Through that time, I provided medication, took him for chemotherapy, and spoiled him until he decided it was time to cross the rainbow bridge. Shadow's absence still leaves a void in my heart that is filled by caring for other people's dogs. I love all types of dogs, and have experience with small to large, young and old, as well as dogs living with various health issues. Giving dog owners the security and piece of mind knowing their furry family members are safe and sound while they are away is a responsibility that I take very seriously. My husband and I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood and our backyard is fully fenced. As a dog lover himself, anyone who books with me gets their pup double the love. My full time job is permanently remote, so I am able to be at home with your dog at all times. No matter their schedule, I can meet it because I can be here to fulfill their needs. I have a fenced in yard for safety, and a dog-friendly neighborhood where your dog will feel right at home. I know every dog has different needs, so I can follow the habits you have created with them to maintain consistency. Whether that is crate training or sleeping on the couch, I will follow your instructions. I know that dogs are family, and treat them as such.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. I feel as though lots of people want dogs but don’t care to learn how to properly take care of them so, I go above and beyond to take care of the dogs I am able to take care of within my power. I would like to have a meet and greet before I take on any assignments. I am a TA for Oak Park 97 school district. I love animals; especially dogs. I have a degree in Zoology and seek a career working with animals. I usually am free after 3:30 pm Monday through Friday and have open availability most weekends. I try to respond to messages as soon as possible and will work to accommodate your pets needs as best as I can. I make sure that my client’s pet’s feel safe as possible when they’re with me. While walking, I won’t let the client’s dog interact with other people or dogs because you never know how dogs will react with strangers or other dogs. That is unless the owner gives me permission to do so. If feeding is required I will make sure that the dog gets the appropriate amount of food for their breed or per the owner’s instructions. If need be I will also play with the dog and make sure they get the appropriate amount of exercise that they need.

About: I am a grad student in education and just moved to Chicago from Detroit, and sadly my lab and kitties had to stay in Michigan due to my living situation. I've taken care of my dogs, and cats my whole life. I love all animals, and have spent time in the state of Michigan being a dog walker for a small local dog walking business. I have house sat for a few different cats along the way as well. From small-large dogs i'm comfortable around them all! I can be available for the summer Monday-Sunday, Come august 26th, My availability will be MWF and saturday/sunday. Mornings-Evenings I can be available at anytime. I always make sure to see if the owners have any specfic instrutions first and foremost. I will always greet the dog/cat first in calm manner, have them sniff me, say hi, get used to me. Then we get ready for a walk, on walks I'm extremely aware on my surroundings and what could happen or not happen. Water bowls are always full, food at the time the owners said. I make sure to make friends with the animals, and their safety/comfort comes first and foremost. This all will go with cats as well! I tend to be more cautious with the cats so they know i'm there to take care of them.
