“So grateful! This was my first time using Rover and I am thrilled with the match. Kathryn was awesome and took great care of our kitten. Our kitten was happy and very relaxed and this made for an easy transition. Kathryn kept us up to date with sweet pics which made it even easier to enjoy the trip and not worry at all about a thing. Kathryn also took wonderful care of our house. She even noticed some of our plants needed water and offered to take care of that. Very much looking forward to working with Kathryn again and Peanut has made a fast new friend.”

“Edward is great! He’s on time, conscientious and reliable. He took extra effort to find our cat who is very shy and was able to find her and send pics. Our cat was comfortable enough to be seen on the last day, which means she felt safe with him - a testament to animals liking him. He was even able to sweep up a bit on the last day. Thanks Edward!”

About: I was a veterinary technician for almost 13 years. I worked with large and small animals. I also groomed animals for 4 years. I owned and ran my grooming business out of my home in St. Helena. I am a CSR at a vet hospital in Fairfax. I need to be home to care for my mother who is having health struggles so looking for more work closer to home. I am caring for my mother at home. I have lots of free time to fit in my schedule for walks, visiting homes and checking on all kinds of pets. I am open to exotics also. My boarding prices include one large area/room that is nice and cool and has room for bedding, toys, and whatever your pet desires. This room has access to a multi-level backyard. The animals are closed inside at night. Dogs also receive one 30 minute walk out of the home a day. Extra walks will be charged at $25 per walk. Cats stay in a room separate from dogs with all their amenities and will not leave this room during their stay. If your cat is leashed trained and you require walks please let me know know and we can talk about wether it is possible. I am a retired veterinary technician. I am educated in safety and health for animals. The pets in my home are loved and cared for individually. You can go on your trips knowing your animals are safe and cared for with a vet nurse. I am also willing to come by houses and visit. I will not do over night stays, but doggies/cats/exotics are welcome to stay overnight here at my home. When you leave your pet with me you will receive multiple pictures through out your pets stay and you will have full communication from me at all times. All dogs are required to have been vaccinated with Rabies, dhp, and bordetella. Cats should be vaccinated with Rabies, fvr-cp and leukemia. All animals that acquire fleas must be on a flea product. If they are not I will provide the flea dose but you will be charged accordingly for that dose. These requirements are for the safety of the animals in my home and in my neighborhood. Thank you for understanding.

About: Ambidextrous (dog, cat, all!) pet lover here to make sure your best friend is happy, healthy, and safe while you're away. Playtime, mealtime, and pets; multiple days or a quick one-day drop-in, I'm here for it. I pride myself on having great pet energy, and reading/respecting their body language. I'm currently working part time from home in San Rafael, so I have a flexible schedule for drop-ins: walks, meals, playtime/inside/yard exercise, or just a bit of human interaction are all on the menu. I take locking doors and windows seriously in my own home, for myself and my own indoor pet. I maintain the same level of care for clients.

“Lydia is amazing. Not only did she know how to gain my kitty’s trust and keep her happy and occupied, she also administered daily medication. Lydia is also a great communicator, flexible with her time and clearly devoted to my pet. I couldn’t have left her in better care and will definitely be booking her again.”

About: What sets me apart: With over 20 years of hands-on pet care experience, I bring a unique blend of skill, patience, and genuine love for animals. As a co-founder of an animal rescue, I’ve cared for pets in every situation imaginable — from scared pups fresh off the streets to lively, energetic dogs, shy souls needing time to trust, and sweet seniors requiring extra TLC. Special skills & experience: 🐾 Puppies & Kittens: From playful pups to bottle-feeding kittens, I’ve nurtured countless young animals, guiding them through important early milestones. 🐕 Senior Care: My current specialty is caring for senior dogs, including support for mobility or sensory challenges, gentler activities, and administering medication for age-related needs. ❤️ Medical Needs: I have extensive experience helping pets through surgeries and recovery, ensuring meds are given properly and comfort, plus recovery, is always top priority. 🌟 Behavior & Temperament: Years in rescue taught me how to patiently build trust with nervous or unsure pets, introducing them safely to new environments and other animals. Your pet’s happiness, health, and comfort are truly my passion. Whether you have a bouncing puppy, a mellow older friend, or a special-needs companion, I’ll tailor my visits and walks to their unique needs — always with kindness and care. I'm currently working or going to school part-time (depending on the season), so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). My schedule allows for flexibility and I can help you come up with a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I’ll tailor my visits and walks to your pet's unique needs — always with kindness and care. I will also get to know your instructions clearly. I know how important it is to trust the care that you are leaving your beloved pets with.

About: I've taken care of dogs for most of my life, and have worked with a wide range of temperaments and breeds. I volunteered at a rescue where I gained experience working with dogs with traumatic histories and behavioral issues. I'm also experienced working with large and high-energy dog breeds. I am a graduate student at Samuel Merritt looking for opportunities to make some money while spending some quality time with pets! I am available weekends as well as weekdays in the mornings and evenings. I cater my services to meet your dog's unique needs. Care including walks or runs, playtime, snuggles, and photos sent to you while you're away.

About: Loving, Reliable Pet Care with a Flexible Schedule 🐶🐾 I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from small seniors to large energetic breeds. I’ve raised a puppy of my own and have been professionally paid to house-sit and care for multiple dogs (up to five at once). I understand how to match a dog’s energy, follow routines, and create a calm, dependable environment. I'm confident with big dogs (up to 100 lbs) and always tailor my care to each pet’s personality and needs. I’m currently in a flexible, open-schedule period and available most weekdays and weekends. I can often accommodate last-minute requests and daytime visits. If your pet thrives on routine, I’m happy to set up regular visits or walks. My availability may change slightly week-to-week, but I’ll always communicate clearly and keep my calendar updated. I take pet care seriously — you’re trusting me with a member of your family, and I don’t take that lightly. I always follow your instructions closely, check gates and leashes, and make sure pets are secure, safe, and comfortable at all times. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos during visits, so you’re never left wondering how things are going. I’m calm under pressure, and I work to create a low-stress experience for both you and your pet.

About: To ensure your pet receives individualized attention, we host only one dog at a time. We’re a good fit for dogs who are over 1 year old, 15 lbs or more, spayed/neutered, fully potty trained, and happy sleeping solo (no human beds or bedrooms). These basics help keep the vacation smooth for everyone. Pick up/drop off: 6:00am - 7:00pm. We live with a wonderful Lab named Lincoln (no current job). We are able to do walks (and runs!) through the Watershed, Deer Park, Headlands and love to take photos. For longer stays, we do field trips (including a secret dog pool in Petaluma 🤫). We try to switch each day up to provide variety. Backyard with plenty of room and recently installed dog run. Fenced from road. Also a hammock should our guest prefer a more leisurely day. ;)

About: I have been house and pet sitting for over 10 years from young puppies to senior cats. I mainly do it for extra income and for family, friends and referrals. I love learning about your pet's personality and quirks! I am currently in-between jobs so I have extreme flexibility. I often take dogs for walks while their owners are at work. I love going for hikes and to the beach. However, I always tailor my services to the owner and pet’s preference. I often both pet and housesit when owners will be out of town. My flexibility, kindness, cleanliness and communicative nature has built trust with my clients over the years. I respect house rules and make your pet the priority. I know your home is your safe space, and that’s why before I leave your home I make sure everything is exactly how you left it so that you can come home and immediately relax. I’ve been told by clients things like “our home is cleaner than how we left it” and “it doesn’t even seem like you lived here for a day, let alone 2 weeks!”

About: With over 20 years of experience, I have a deep understanding of caring for a variety of pets, both my own and others’. Growing up with cats sparked my lifelong love for animals, and over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, chickens, goats, and cats. Our family dog, now 17 years old, holds a special place in our hearts. I know how crucial it is to have a reliable and trustworthy person looking after your pets when you’re unable to, and I bring that level of care and commitment to every pet I watch over. I currently work part-time and have a fairly flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. However, since I have children at home, I kindly ask for at least one day’s notice to ensure childcare arrangements can be made unless your pet would enjoy a little visitor tagging along. My goal is to provide focused and attentive care for your pet, so planning ahead helps me give them the best experience possible. Our senior dog prefers a quiet home without furry visitors, so at this time, I am only offering pet care services at your home. I pride myself on being detail-oriented and will closely follow your instructions to ensure your pet is cared for exactly as you prefer. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, or special routines, I’ll make sure everything is done just right while providing your pet with plenty of love and attention to keep them happy and comfortable.
