About: I have volunteered at Humane Societies with all kinds of pets because animals are my passion, and have had pets for almost 30 years. I currently have had a wonderful cat named Latte for 6 years and I couldn't live without her. I am available during the day to walk your dog or take it to play at a dog park, or check in on your cat and give it plenty of love, food, and attention. I make sure the pets I look after are cared for like my own, and their safety, comfort, and security are a top concern of mine.
“Amber is an excellent cat sitter. She is responsible, on time, and got along great with my cat Jimi. I was very careful in selecting someone to take care of my cat and am happy to have chosen Amber. I'm planning to hire her again the next time I go out of town.”

“We are so lucky to have found Olivia to take care of our cat! Olivia would send us detailed updates each day and she took great photos too! She even helped cleaned our home at the end. Would definitely ask for Olivia again and highly recommend her to others!”

“Cora was a total lifesaver for our post-op recovering kitty. Flexible, knowledge and clearly experienced. Was able to jump right in and provide high level of kitty care. Highly recommend!”

“Melina was great! Very flexible with my last minute drop in request. My dogs loved her and she took great care of them. Went above and beyond in a rain storm to make sure their paws were dry and the floors were not muddy. Checked in regularly and made me feel at ease knowing my dogs were taken care of.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a baby. My family had taken in squirrels, ducks and chickens as well as having 2 cats and 1 dog. I am currently a student and I am planning on working to earn money for college. I am only taking in person classes and only work limited hours at a Pilates studio. I have a fenced yard, and a large bay trail only a few blocks away. I have 2 cats that do not bother and 2 very friendly dog.
“Last time we went away, we used a non-professional catsitter who , due to a family emergency, was only able to visit once in 4 days. This time, we loved getting photos of our cat weaving her way between Em's legs, nuzzling her face, etc. during twice-a-day visits. We were so glad to know that our kitty was fed and watered and that she had used her litterbox and it was not filthy (the rest of the house was quite dirty and messy, and we are very sorry about that and grateful that our catsitter fulfilled her obligation despite that). Thank you so much, Emily!”

“Josephine takes excellent care of our kitty, leaves everything as clean or cleaner than before, is extremely responsive and flexible. And she sends great pictures of the cat playing and having a good time!”

“Meghan did a fantastic job with our pets - couldn’t be happier with her prompt amd professional communication and responsiveness. She watched our dog and cat and did walks everyday etc. thanks!”

“Salina is fantastic. We really enjoyed having her check in on our cat while our family was out of town. As soon as we met her, we could immediately tell she truly loves cats, and our cat loved her. She was very communicative and responsive throughout everything, and she has great attention to detail. We look forward to having her back when we take our next trip!”

“Wenjie did a great job taking care of Brody. Brody usually shies away from new people, but he became friends with Wenjie quickly! Wenjie treated both our dog & our home respectfully and I will definitely seek him out again when the need arises. We were kept fully informed after every visit. It made us feel like Brody was in very capable care, leaving us able to relax and not worry at all while we were away. Definitely a 5 star experience! Thanks again, Wenjie!”

About: I had the joy of caring for my rescued cat and dog for over 15 years, giving them a life full of love, comfort, and companionship until their final days. That experience shaped my deep understanding of what pets need at every stage of life—from playful energy to senior care. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs over the years, building trust with animals of all temperaments. Whether it’s a shy pup or a senior cat who needs extra gentleness, I’m committed to making them feel safe, seen, and loved. I offer a flexible schedule and can adjust my availability based on your pet’s needs. Whether it’s daily walks, weekend visits, or last-minute drop-ins, I’ll do my best to accommodate what works best for you and your pet. I understand how important consistency and reliability are for animals—and for their humans, too. I’m in your home I follow your instructions closely and maintain open communication so you can feel fully at ease while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, always prioritizing their comfort and wellbeing.
About: Hi! We’re Christina & Zach—lifelong animal lovers with 40+ years of combined experience. I grew up on a farm where my mom bred Newfoundlands & Great Pyrenees, so caring for dogs has always been second nature. Over the years, I’ve had German Shepherds, an Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Rottweiler, Pomeranian, Samoyed and mixed breeds. Zach grew up with a horse and has had Black Labs, German Shepherds, Peekapoos, Pitbulls, Golden Retrievers and Boxers—he’s known as the “dog whisperer” among friends and family. OUR HOME & CARE: We both work from home as Creative Directors & Designers, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be left alone. We provide a calm, attentive environment with long daily walks (AM + PM), playtime and a fenced backyard. We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine, preferences and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. We also have experience working with animals in therapeutic settings (horses and dogs), which informs our calm, intuitive approach to care. THE BAY AREA / DOG & HOUSESITTING We are currently active house and pet sitting across Marin & Sonoma counties and the East Bay. We relocated to the Bay Area in summer 2026 and are settling into the region while continuing to care for pets and homes locally. All our reviews on TrustedHousesitters (dog & housesitting app) are five stars, happy to share our profile link and reviews upon request. SCHEDULE: Flexible, with daily walks (typically 2–4 miles total or more if needed). Additional walks and care tailored to your dog’s needs. We work from home for ourselves. EXPECTATIONS: I’m an interior designer and take great pride in maintaining a beautiful home. I’m on Rover for the love of dogs—not for income—so I’m selective to protect my space. All dogs must arrive freshly groomed with nails trimmed prior to drop-off. Thank you for understanding. SAFETY, TRUST, ENVIRONMENT: In our home we have a fenced in backyard they can enjoy. We can accommodate their dog bed in (or out) of our bedroom or can also crate them at night — if you prefer. RATES & FIT: We may charge higher rates for larger breeds or dogs requiring additional time, energy, or care. This ensures every dog receives the attention they deserve and that we are fairly compensated.
About: YO HABLO ESPANOL TAMBIEN...I've had pets since I was a child, first a hamster, then a rat, house finches, more rats, cats, dogs, a tortoise.... When I take care of other people's pets I've been responsible for medications, training and even administering fluids with a bag and needle (I am a California state licensed phlebotomist). I've also fostered puppies, kittens and pregnant cats until they found their forever homes. I've recently moved back to the Bay Area, (as of September 2022). My beautiful Scottish terrier Gadget has passed away and I have lots of love to give your pets. Furthermore, I do not have pets of my own, as I have rehomed my African Sulcata tortoise Donatello and he's doing wonderfully in Washington state. I'm able to give your animals my full attention. I love traveling around the Bay Area and it is a pleasure to come to your home and housesit while you are away. My main priority during my stay is to spend a lot of time with your pets while keeping your home safe and clean.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Five Brooks. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
