About: Dogs are the light of my life! I've given forever homes to 7 German Shepherds, 2 Poodles and 4 Mixes. I've had extensive experience caring for them through various illnesses & am very knowledgeable about both their physical and emotional needs. I trained all of them myself with modernizing the methods as the practices changed over time. In High School I worked for a veterinary clinic washing dogs and administering vaccines as well as meds. I was a teacher for 20 years and am super resourceful. I've always had dogs. For me, life would be empty without them, and I'm one of these crazy people who would do absolutely anything to meet their needs!! You can definitely trust that I'll do everything to give your dog the best!! I LOVE DOGS & CATS!! Not to mention horses, ponies and rabbits! I love to house sit and spend my time with any wonderful canine or animal! They'll be given the absolute best of care and companionship when I'm there 24/7 the rest of the week! I'm a retired teacher of 20 years, in great physical condition, and want to do this full time. I LOVE DOGS AND CATS!! I've always worked in the helping professions as a teacher and behavioral case manager for the homeless. Now I want to do what means the most to me....spend my time with animals and give them the best experience possible!! Number 1, follow the directions of the client relative to their animals. Number 2, be respectful of their environment. Number 3, do all the extras possible for the animals including companionship. Number 4, leave the house as nice as it was on my arrival date.

Being surrounded by all kinds of pups has stayed with me as I age and continue to provide quality pet care to all kinds of dogs, small to big, puppies to seniors. About: I've spent the bulk of my life caring for animals (dogs, cats, small mammals, and even horses). Much of my experience has involved anxious and/or reactive dogs, who often do best with a calm environment and a consistent routine. I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior so I can respond before a dog becomes more stressed. I have also cared for rescue dogs whose backgrounds required patience and careful handling. That experience has taught me to notice stress signals that can be easy to miss, and to avoid pushing a dog beyond its comfort level. I follow the routines owners provide rather than changing what the dog is used to. I'm comfortable following medication instructions and specific feeding routines. I can also care for households with multiple pets (big or small, old or young). My goal is to keep each pet’s daily life as familiar as possible while the owner is away, so the pet can remain comfortable and secure in its normal environment. I’m currently in graduate school with a highly flexible schedule, which allows me to prioritize the pets in my care. About: I have many great references for house sitting. I can accommodate dogs of all life stages as well as dogs with special needs or diets. I would be happy to send you photos of your dog during their stay. I am open to negotiations on rates if you have a special circumstance you would like to discuss. I can also provide housekeeping. If I am at your home for more than 3 days I will typically do a clean for no charge. I charge an hourly rate to clean otherwise and can provide references if there are any chores you would like me to handle while you are away. I am a trusted licensed Realtor. My schedule is somewhat flexible. I can accommodate pick up or drop off. Let me know your situation and I can find the best way to work with you.
