We ABSOLUTELY recommend Emily!! She was communicative, dependable, and gave our Luna such great care! She was consistent, kind, and helped our 1yr old dog, who can be a handful, gain confidence and build on her manners while walking on leash. I felt at ease knowing that my dog was getting great care while I was away! Thank you!

About: I have 20 years experience with bully breeds, and all the health issues that entails, but I’m open to sitting any breed (they are all good dogs!). I live at the beach, so your pup will get long beach walks and/or mountain trail hikes during the day, then sleepy downtime at night. It’s a pet paradise! Your dog will enjoy morning beach walks or trail hikes, or walks in a stroller if your pet has mobility issues. Daylight hours are spent being active, and evenings are resto-relaxo. I have a fenced and private front and backyard with fake grass for your pet to use. No stairs to navigate - single level home a block from the ocean. Just tell me your dogs energy level and exercise needs, and I’ll create the perfect doggy vacation!

About: Does your furbaby need extra love and special attention while you are away? I am happy to help care for your furbabies with lots of love, adventures, and yes even training. I can ease both you and your furbaby’s anxiety by staying with them in their home and checking in with you regularly with photos and videos. Boarding your furbaby elsewhere is very stressful for them, especially considering the limited amount of care and physical activity. I will give them all the love and attention that they need and take them on adventures around the neighborhood (with your permission); it really helps to refocus and calm them down. Let's make sure your furbabies are as happy and comfortable as possible while you're away. I also provide basic training and understand common behavioral issues such as reactivity and separation anxiety. I love working with puppies, helping to socialize them and teach recall is critical at a young age. Be sure to tell me all about your pet's quirks and needs so that I can help. I have over 10 years of professional pet-care experience, plus I have cared for many types of animals. I took some time off from petsitting when I took on the full-time responsibility of caring for an elder dog. Our family’s Siberian Husky, Skye, was truly the best companion and adventure buddy. She lived a happy, active life for 16 years! She is dearly missed and will furever be with me in spirit. Now I am getting back into professional pet-care and I look forward to making many new friends, caring for your furbabies as tho they were my own. I work mostly remotely from home so I have the ability to stay with your furbaby in their home and give them the attention they need. When I am housesitting, I am also taking care of your home. I'll bring in the mail and water the plants. I always clean-up after myself and your pets before I leave so that you can come back home to a clean and comfy space. Just let me know whatever lil things you need help with while you're away. Happy to help!

About: My wife and I own our home and have large yard in sunny Corte Madera, about 15 miles north of San Francisco. I previously owned a veterinary hospital and pet boarding facility, so working with dogs is a life long passion of mine. Senior pets are welcome!!! I've had San Francisco (city) customers before, but mainly Marin County residents. Pups will have loving care around the clock. I’m retired and my wife works out of the house. Safe and secure environment with 24 hour monitoring. Secure fenced in yard with doggie door. Pups understand very quickly that we are there to take care of them and they feel safe and secure with us.

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover with two cats of my own, and I absolutely adore caring for pets of all kinds. Whether you have energetic dogs that need daily walks and playtime, independent kitties who want some extra snuggles, or any other furry (or scaly!) friends, I’m experienced and confident giving them the attentive, affectionate care they deserve. About: Hi, this is Bryan! I have a 5 year-old Yorkie boy (and a cat). We go on walks 3-4 times a day, we clean our face, paws, pp, and butt after each walk. While my dog is a couch-potato when he’s with me, he enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, big or small. Hair brushing can be therapeutic. My professional background is Marketing, Branding, and Communications. So communication is a big thing for me. I like clear instructions, asking questions, providing updates, etc. Look forward to connecting and helping you with your fur babies! I’m currently a full-time stay home pet parent. So my schedule is highly flexible. It would be great if my 8 lb Yorkie can tag along, but not a must. Also, it would be ideal if I can reserve 3-5 hours/day away from your house during house sitting, to run errands or grab dinner with my husband. Let’s chat and find out the best schedule that works for us. Communications is key. I’m willing to accommodate your requests in taking special care for your pet because you know them the best, and each pet has their own likes and dislikes.

About: Dogs are the light of my life! I've given forever homes to 7 German Shepherds, 2 Poodles and 4 Mixes. I've had extensive experience caring for them through various illnesses & am very knowledgeable about both their physical and emotional needs. I trained all of them myself with modernizing the methods as the practices changed over time. In High School I worked for a veterinary clinic washing dogs and administering vaccines as well as meds. I was a teacher for 20 years and am super resourceful. I've always had dogs. For me, life would be empty without them, and I'm one of these crazy people who would do absolutely anything to meet their needs!! You can definitely trust that I'll do everything to give your dog the best!! I LOVE DOGS & CATS!! Not to mention horses, ponies and rabbits! I love to house sit and spend my time with any wonderful canine or animal! They'll be given the absolute best of care and companionship when I'm there 24/7 the rest of the week! I'm a retired teacher of 20 years, in great physical condition, and want to do this full time. I LOVE DOGS AND CATS!! I've always worked in the helping professions as a teacher and behavioral case manager for the homeless. Now I want to do what means the most to me....spend my time with animals and give them the best experience possible!! Number 1, follow the directions of the client relative to their animals. Number 2, be respectful of their environment. Number 3, do all the extras possible for the animals including companionship. Number 4, leave the house as nice as it was on my arrival date.

Janaki did a great job for us . She arrived on time and was able to make friends with our dog that has a bad tendency to over react when greeting newcomers, but Janaki was able to handle this well. We liked her photos on the walk especially charmed with phot of her holding two bags of poop.

About: I’ve cared for my family friends' dogs while they were away, which helped me understand the importance of building trust with both pets and owners. I am currently enrolled in school on weekends and trade school in evening. I and available during weekday mornings and afternoons to provide reliable dog sitting services. My cats are indoor-only, and my dog enjoys a large backyard for play. Due to my cats' territorial nature, it might be challenging to accommodate other animals in my home.

About: Hi pet parents!🐾 Growing up I’ve been around all different breeds of dogs; from labs to miniature poodles. I am very outgoing and I have always had a special place in my heart for 4 legged, fluffy critters🐶! I am able to care for puppies and senior pups. My family and I raised our dog since she was 8 weeks old till she reached puppy heaven. I understand how important it is to find a loving, trustworthy, and reliable pet sitter but your in the right place! I will treat your dog like their mine-with lots of belly rubs, walks, and love🦮🦴 I am a college student at Chapman University but my schedule is pretty flexible I have a car so being able to get to Point A to Point B is not a issue. I can easily care for your puppy (clean up any messes it makes/creative if request requested), and I know how to properly care for senior dogs as well. I love playing around with dogs with high energy or take it easy with older or more mellow dogs. I know how to read dogs pretty well, so give me just a few minutes with your dog and I can adapt my care to how your dogs behavior is.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Bolinas

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 9,538 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Bolinas. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bolinas. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bolinas.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bolinas. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
