I grew up on a farm where my mom bred Newfoundlands & Great Pyrenees, so caring for dogs has always been second nature. Over the years, I’ve had German Shepherds, an Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Rottweiler, Pomeranian, Samoyed and mixed breeds. Zach grew up with a horse and has had Black Labs, German Shepherds, Peekapoos, Pitbulls, Golden Retrievers and Boxers—he’s known as the “dog whisperer” among friends and family. OUR HOME & CARE: We both work from home as Creative Directors & Designers, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be left alone. We provide a calm, attentive environment with long daily walks (AM + PM), playtime and a fenced backyard. About: Dogs are the light of my life! I've given forever homes to 7 German Shepherds, 2 Poodles and 4 Mixes. I've had extensive experience caring for them through various illnesses & am very knowledgeable about both their physical and emotional needs. I trained all of them myself with modernizing the methods as the practices changed over time. In High School I worked for a veterinary clinic washing dogs and administering vaccines as well as meds. I was a teacher for 20 years and am super resourceful. I've always had dogs. For me, life would be empty without them, and I'm one of these crazy people who would do absolutely anything to meet their needs!! You can definitely trust that I'll do everything to give your dog the best!! I LOVE DOGS & CATS!! Not to mention horses, ponies and rabbits! I love to house sit and spend my time with any wonderful canine or animal! They'll be given the absolute best of care and companionship when I'm there 24/7 the rest of the week! I'm a retired teacher of 20 years, in great physical condition, and want to do this full time. I LOVE DOGS AND CATS!! I've always worked in the helping professions as a teacher and behavioral case manager for the homeless. About: I have 20 years experience with bully breeds, and all the health issues that entails, but I’m open to sitting any breed (they are all good dogs!). I live at the beach, so your pup will get long beach walks and/or mountain trail hikes during the day, then sleepy downtime at night. It’s a pet paradise! Update 2/26: I just adopted a mastiff, so I’m not doing any in home boarding until I get her settled in her new home, but I’m still happy to do drop ins or walks for other dogs. Your dog will enjoy morning beach walks or trail hikes, or walks in a stroller if your pet has mobility issues. Daylight hours are spent being active, and evenings are resto-relaxo. I have a fenced and private front and backyard with fake grass for your pet to use. No stairs to navigate - single level home a block from the ocean. Just tell me your dogs energy level and exercise needs, and I’ll create the perfect doggy vacation!
