About: I'm a certified professional dog trainer (#KarinTrainsDogs) and pet mom to [now] 2 dogs and 1 cat. My other dog just passed away on 10/10/25. She was dog-reactive, so now that she is gone, I am able to accept boarding on a case by case basis. My dogs are Milan (13 years old - she is my working dog and sometimes helps in dog training) and her dad Jorge (17 years old - he has a high level of canine autism; he is the reason I became a dog trainer). They are both Beagles. Jorge lives in his own world. My cat is Theodore (about 10 years old - the nicest and easiest cat ever), but he lives in my bedroom so will only interact with your dog if your dog comes into my bedroom. I have a hybrid full-time day job so I go into the city 2-3 times a week at most. I also train dogs on weeknights and weekends. That said, I will only accept boarding on days when I do not have to be away from home for more than three hours. My dogs are place/spot/dog bed and crate trained. I believe that all dogs should be crate TRAINED. This does not mean that all dogs should be crated, but I believe all dogs should be crate trained at the very least so they are comfortable staying inside a crate - if needed. This does not mean that I will crate your dog; however, if you want me to informally crate TRAIN your dog (this is an actual training protocol), I can do that for free! I do not allow my own dogs on furniture. I sometimes allow them on my bed. I may be able to offer some training (formal/informal) to your dog while it's here. If you're interested, this can be discussed after your first booking is completed.
