“This is our second time booking doggy day care with Danielle and her dog Nala. Danielle does a great job. She keeps our dog safe and well entertained. We appreciate her updates of messages and photos throughout the day. Looking forward to the next time.”

“Michelle took great care of my fur baby who has separation anxiety. She was thoughtful, knowledgable, and responsive. I will be booking her again and highly recommend her.”

“Ashley helped us out in a pinch and exceeded our expectations! She cared for our dog and quickly helped acclimate our anxious dog. We’ll definitely be asking Ashley for services in the future! Thanks for loving our pup like your own :)”

“Emily is a fantastic dog sitter! She watched my pup overnight, kept me updated with photos and messages, and made sure Roxy felt right at home. Her dog, Kibli, is super sweet and was such a fun (and gentle!) playmate, even though he’s much bigger than Roxy. I found Emily to be completely trustworthy and responsible, and it’s clear she genuinely enjoyed spending time with my dog. Roxy came home happy, well cared for, and tuckered out from all the playtime—I couldn’t ask for more!”

About: I’m a Fear Free Certified Professional, currently studying animal behavior. I’ve been running my own home based doggy daycare and boarding house for four years. My care is crate-free (unless that's what your pup's preferred at-home routine is,) with regular group outings to trails and the beach. I live in a two level home where the entire downstairs and fenced backyard are just for the dogs! It’s colorfully set up as the coolest doggie social club, but the pups are welcome throughout both levels of the home. They are never forcibly isolated and almost always prefer to be close to wherever I am. I keep my client list small and personal—almost all of my dogs have been with me for years. I don’t aim to pack the house; I aim to give the best experience possible for every dog and human involved. Even when clients start as one-offs, they usually stick around—because I strive to be a resource for dogs and their families. That’s why I call this place a home away from home. If you're interested, I invite you to come by for a meet and greet—see the space, meet me, and let me meet your little one. I look forward to being your dog’s new best friend! Canine care is my daily life. The dogs are with me throughout the day—whether we’re in the yard, around the house, or out on a trail. I structure my routine around their needs, with group outings, downtime, and a consistent rhythm. If my personal life calls me away, I have an amazing assistant Alaina who steps in. She also co-runs the daycare! I focus on keeping things consistent, calm, fun, and full of bonding—play, rest, outdoor time, and enrichment are all part of the daily rhythm. Outside of daycare hours, the space functions as our home too, so dogs experience a relaxed, real-life environment, not a facility. I send updates, pictures, and videos throughout the day.
“Claudio was amazing with Xico. Xico does not always get along with other dogs, but Claudio has the ability to ease any tension or fear Xico may feel around new dogs. Claudio went above and beyond to make Xico feel at home. They even went to Alameda beach! I know Xico felt safe and happy due to Claudio’s warm energy. I’m so happy Xico could socialize and have fun this week!”

“Anchisa kept my dog Walter for doggy day care on my long work days. I am completely pleased and so happy we found her! From time of booking throughout his whole stay her communication is excellent with updates and pics! He is no longer nervous when I get ready for work since he knows he will be seeing her. I would trust her completely for boarding if I leave town as well. I am so grateful we found you!”

“Great experience. We had a meet and greet and Whiskey got to meet Douglas and Pepe. During the actual day care, I received regular updates and was flexible with the pick up time. Whiskey was very happy and tired out by the end of the day”

“Mary is super attentive and caring. She gave detailed updates about how she was doing and sent lots of photos in which Shanti looks happy and relaxed, enjoying the company of her fur baby, Murphy. When I arrived at her place to pick her up. she was already standing in front of her apartment building so that I didn't have to wait for her to come out. So Sweet! I'd definitely ask her to look after my dog again in a heartbeat!”

“Alexis was amazing and we’re so glad we found her. She was kind, communicative and really easy to work with. We knew our dog was in good hands with her while we were out on vacation. She also was sensitive to her needs around leash frustration and ensured our dog was well exercised, happy, and fed. Alexis is awesome and we will definitely be using her services again soon!”

About: I have three years experience boarding dogs. They get out twice a day and everyone's food needs are taken care of. The dogs play in my living room and sleeping arrangements vary on the dog. I understand that these amazing creatures are a part of your family. I don't take that for granted. I am committed to keeping the pups entertained, loved and safe. Dogs can be unpredictable. I have chased dogs who have slipped their leashes for miles around the neighborhood. I have broken up fights. Carried a 55 pound pitbull who went into anaphylactic shock 4 blocks to my car and raced her to the vet. I've spit in dogs noses to save them from a foxtail (it works by the way). When you drop off your dog at my house rest assured you're getting someone who will do everything they can to keep them happy, and safe.

About: I have 6 years of pet care experience in Portland and Pittsburgh. I moved to Oakland a few years ago I am now getting back into dog care after a few years in a different career. I hold a graduate degree in psychology and have spent time studying pet behavior and body language and will be happy to apply my skills to your pup and am alway happy to continue reinforcing specific behaviors you are working on with your pup I have experience with anxious dogs and dogs needing some additional time to warm up to new humans as well ans older and small dogs that require a calmer environment. I currently have a border collie that’s 4 years old so I’m also used to caring for higher energy dogs who need a little more. I love taking dogs on hikes around the bay if that is something your pup is into or to the local park. If you would like to book a dog hike select a 1h dog walk and let me know on the message I currently do pet care full time so I will be available all day to care for your pup and can cater my schedules to the specific need of your pup wile I care for them My home is on the first floor with a small fully fenced yard and doggy door (which I can also block is that is your preference) but I find that dogs often find it helps to be able to come in and out. The yard and off the street and has 6ft fence so your pup will be safe. I live alone with my pup so no one else will be in the home

“Simone took excellent care of our senior dog. She asked good questions and was gentle with our high needs dog. I felt totally at ease knowing she was in good hands!”

“Amy is the peace of mind you need when you leave your beloved pup for the evening! With Amy, I received a timely response, stellar communication, and, above all, felt the genuine love given to our little Millie (Spoiler: it was top notch) Can't recommend her services enough!”

Nikolai L.
“This is the best Doggie Daycare and border in the East Bay, hands-down. I have been bringing my Labrador to Nik and Jessica for years and have referred several people to them who have become regulars. Jessica and Nik have two dogs at their own and our lifelong dog lovers and experienced care providers. A number of things set them apart, starting with being just a few blocks away from Oakland’s best dog park, Bushrod. The dogs get to come to this amazing park twice a day. When they are not at the park there is no shortage of entertainment in their spacious home, which includes multiple outdoor spaces. They are generous with treats like bully sticks and Jessica even cooks homemade snacks for them. They love all the dogs as if they are their own. Lastly, their pack always has a good vibe. My dog is happy when I drop him off and happy when I pick him up, and also exhausted, in a good way. Only problem I have is half the time he does not want to leave!”

We asked Juyeon to look after our dogs, Ella and Andy, for a single day, and we’re pleased with the experience. She was extremely flexible and accommodating, especially since we needed to drop them off early in the morning. Juyeon took great care of Ella and Andy, giving them short walks 6 times throughout the day, which was very thoughtful given they weren’t in the mood for longer walks. She kept us updated, was quick to respond, and gave us peace of mind. Overall, we’re happy we asked Juyeon to care for Ella and Andy, and we’d love to have her dog sit for us again in the future.

I highly recommend Paula for your dog care needs. As a registered nurse and neurotic dog mom, I’m very particular about who I will leave my dogs with. Both my babies have allergies with special food for each, need sunscreen and have behavioral quirks as they are brothers from the same litter. Paula has been great with me and my dogs- something I cannot say about every dog sitter on Rover. With my unpredictable schedule she has been very understanding of cancellations and time changes. They are so happy when they get to her place and tired and well stimulated when I pick them up. Thank you Paula! I am so grateful!

Kenneth cared for our Rottweiler mix, Tahoe, on a last minute request! He was very knowledge and we instantly knew we could trust him with our rescue. He clearly understands dogs and loves them. He sent us updates and Tahoe enjoyed his time out in the patio & getting to know Maze. Reliable and truly caring!

We’re so grateful to Ashley for taking such great care of our pug, Baton! She stepped in last minute and was incredibly accommodating. Throughout the stay, she kept us updated and sent us the cutest pictures of Baton, which really helped us feel at ease while we were away. It was clear Baton was in great hands and got lots of love and attention. Highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable pet sitter! Thank you so much!
