“This was our first experience with Rover, and Janet was so helpful, responsive, and take great care of Lennox. He had a great time with other dogs, and we got updates along the way! Thank you Janet for taking such great care of our guy!!”

“Brandi's family took wonderful care of our two pups! They sent frequent updates and photos, and I knew the pups were happy and safe in Brandi's home. We'd love to have our dogs stay with Brandi again in the future!”

“I booked Jennifer’s onboarding service for my pups over July 4th weekend and the overall experience was wonderful. The meet and greet was held at her house which I appreciated because I wanted to make sure my pups would feel comfortable. Jennifer was mindful and attentive to my pups needs and gave updates whether it’s a message or picture! Our dogs got along and I could tell my pups had a fun time!”

“My pup came home from Jenna and her family’s house happy and tired after playing with her pups and hanging with her family — and so did we after enjoying a weekend of shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater! Exceptional communication, smooth drop-off and pick-up and lots of pics! I felt like I was dropping my pup off at my sister’s house — and my pup seemed to think she was happily at her new house. Highly recommend!”

“Our beagle Betty had the most amazing weekend in Chris and Amber’s yard! Pretty sure she didn’t miss us at all, she was having such a great time. :) They are a lovely family and I appreciated the awesome pictures they sent during the stay. Would definitely book again.”

“Julia has been really great and sent me tons of photos of my doggie. I felt confident having Julia watch my dog for a couple of days. Great communication and friendly. Thank you!!”

“Trevor was great! Super easy to communicate with and my pup came home happy and sleepy. He updated every day and worked super well with last minute changes. Would use again!”

“Cooper had a great time for the extended stay! This was the first time he stayed with someone other than family and we were so pleased with the updates and the care he received. Thank you Denae!”

“Linda is wonderful! Cairo loves staying with her! We appreciate how much care and effort she puts in when he stays with her. Would definitely recommend Linda to everyone!”

“Olga was great! Her yard is huge with plenty of room to satisfy their desire to sniff around. She sent pictures, took the pups for walks and they were happy and making themselves at home when I came to pick them up! Great sitter who I’d recommend and use again!”
“Danielle was awesome! She sent pictures every day and took great care of my little Leo! as long as she would have him back, I would definitely go to her again! Thank you so much, Danielle”

“This was my first time using rover and I am very fortunate to have had Matt watch my dog. Matt provided updates daily and my dog looked like he was having a great time. When I picked him up he was in great shape, happy and unharmed. After a few bad experiences with the boarding places in the area, this was such a blessing. I highly recommend Matt D.”

“Shawna was amazing! We got so many lovely updates and our pup seemed very happy at her home. She even sent us home with a sweet portrait of our little guy ☺️”

“Elsa had a fantastic stay with Polly, Jeremy and their family. She got to run outside in their yard which she loved. She played her favorite game of tug of war and made lots of new friends. When we brought her home she was worn out and slept for ages. She was amazingly taken care of with plenty of mental stimulation, physical activity and love. We will definitely book with Polly and Jeremy the next time we head out of town and need to have our furry family member looked after!”

“Our dog loved her stay at Katrina’s! Katrina was fantastic —sending us pictures throughout our dog’s stay! Just a wonderful experience and we will definitely ask Katrina to watch our dog again!”

“Sam was amazing with my puppy and my 5 yo. My pups also loved her dog, Stella. She sent lots of photos of the constant playing and snuggles. Highly recommend- especially for anyone needing someone home more often.”

“Our experience with Cj was wonderful. We were very pleased with her professionalism and her care for our little loved one. Everyone is looking forward to the next overnight stay.”

“Our two dogs were well cared for by Lucas. I received an immediate response to my request, despite the fact that it was not within the 2 day notice request, which was greatly appreciated. During our event, we received photos and even videos to put our minds at ease that they were in good hands. Thanks again, Lucas!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Evergreen
Samantha kept our little dog, Tinkerbell, for 6 nights while we traveled with our granddaughters. She is 13 yrs old and not used to staying anywhere except home so we were worried about how she would react. Samantha sent us a daily update and picture which really helped us see that she was doing just fine. Samantha took really good care of her and kept her safe which meant everything to us. We don't know if it will ever come up again since we live in Arizona but we would not hesitate to take her back to Samantha's if the need ever arises. Thanks, Samantha!

We are so fortunate we found Olga. She and her family were absolutely wonderful to our girl. They welcomed her into their home and treated her like family. She had a great time romping around with their sweet pup and the yard is a dog's dream come true. Olga sent pictures daily and the communication was top notch. She even went above and beyond by accommodating a last minute change on our end. Thank you Olga for providing such great care and attention to our girl!

Fang and her family did a wonderful job taking care of Kaya. They made her a part of their own and made her feel very comfortable. Her updates consisted of photos and videos almost every day. They even got Kaya an Adventure dog calendar and made us a pawprint ornament. She was fed well, loved, and had lots of company with their puppy Juno. Juno was very energetic and playful, but from what I could tell in the videos, her and Kaya chased each other and otherwise played gentle (no bullying from either pup). Overall, we would highly recommend Fang for boarding.

Casey and her partner were wonderful with our wild pup, Fable! She is 8 mo old and has lots of energy but Casey and her dogs did a fantastic job wearing her out. They were great communicators and sent lots of pictures and updates. Fable can't wait until her next stay!

I left my cat with Emily for a long stay(about 6 months), and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, and I felt I could completely trust her during the entire time. I’m very grateful that she kept me updated often with photos of Lavey and how he was doing. She also understood our situation so well, and I truly appreciate her for that. If I ever need someone again, I would definitely choose Emily without hesitation. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
