“Julia was wonderful with our dog! It was our first time using Rover and I was nervous at first but she was so easy to work with. Our dog had a great time and Julia was so kind to send photo updates about his overnight boarding with her. He almost seemed sad to come home… so we know he had a ton of fun!”

“Kelly, her husband, and their dog Milo took great care of our dog Jake while we were gone for eight days. They did everything possible to make Jake feel comfortable (he is a nervous dog) and they treated him like family. I’m so thankful for their kindness and care.”

“Tyler was super great to our one year old golden retriever. He kept him active and made him feel at home. Our dog had a great time and we would recommend him to anyone who wants a happy pup. Would definitely use his services again.”

“Polly and her family were amazing!! I always felt that my dogs were safe and well taken care of. She extended their stay according to my needs which I really appreciated. She even sent me pics of my girls. I highly recommend her.”

“Gina and Brett are outstanding! They have a beautiful house and the kids were so great with our dog! The really treated Pepper like family for her stay and I can’t recommend them enough.”

“Siddhi is extremely caring and thorough. She made sure my cats were very well cared for, asked for ways to make them more comfortable and sent me many pictures along the way. My cats were extremely comfortable and they had a good environment at Siddhi's place.”

“My Shih Tzu was very happy staying with Janet! She does a great job communicating and he was worn out after his visit since he had so much fun. I definitely would use Janet again.”

“We are from WI and went to Denver for a wedding. Jamie is a very personable sitter. The dogs were very happy to see us obviously but I think they really enjoyed their stay. Jamie has a beautiful yard that is fenced in with lots of trees for shade and grass for comfort. She explained her history with dog sitting and genuinely seemed to enjoy the dogs. I wld definitely take the dogs back to her if we need a multi day stay in the future. Wld highly recommend.”

“Tom took great care of my reactive dog and made sure he got lots of attention and exercise! He always responded quickly, followed instructions/ requests, and he sent lots of pictures during the stay.”

“Blu was an excellent host for our small dog Leo. Took him on daily walks and administered his medications. Great communicator, and even watched him an extra night due to our flight being delayed. Will definitely refer her and hopefully she’ll watch our dog again!”

“Amy and Boko are exceptional! Our pup, Tootsie, stayed with them, and she clearly has a blast given the overall exhaustion when she returned home. And I didn’t think you could Tucker out a 5 month old pup! In addition, Tootsie was a total stinker and decided she had lost some of her potty training skills while at Amy and Bokos. They were so very patient and understanding with Tootsie, and they offered us tips moving forward without judgement. Of course I felt like the worst dog over ever. Will most certainly use Amy and Boko again, we just have some potty training to work on in the meantime!”

“Danielle was fantastic! She was very accommodating and easy to work with, making drop-off and pick-up super smooth. I really appreciated all the photo updates— made it clear Franklin was happy, relaxed, and having a great time. I highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Megan was an excellent sitter and I highly recommend her. The meet and greet was beneficial to allow my dog to know where she would staying beforehand. Megan sent several texts & videos to reassure us that our dog was comfortable during her stay. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

“We had a wonderful first experience with Zory and Kent. They provided us thorough updates throughout the weekend, with plenty of photos. Our dog looked like she was in heaven the entire weekend and so well cared for. We’d absolutely book with them again!”

“Oberon had the best time with Jessica and Teryn! I appreciate how easy it was to set up a meet and greet, and they made drop off and pickup a breeze. I could see from their daily updates that he spent a lot of time doing his favorite things (laying on his bed in the sun), and even attempted some playing! Thanks again for taking such great care of my pup.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Evergreen
Samantha kept our little dog, Tinkerbell, for 6 nights while we traveled with our granddaughters. She is 13 yrs old and not used to staying anywhere except home so we were worried about how she would react. Samantha sent us a daily update and picture which really helped us see that she was doing just fine. Samantha took really good care of her and kept her safe which meant everything to us. We don't know if it will ever come up again since we live in Arizona but we would not hesitate to take her back to Samantha's if the need ever arises. Thanks, Samantha!

We are so fortunate we found Olga. She and her family were absolutely wonderful to our girl. They welcomed her into their home and treated her like family. She had a great time romping around with their sweet pup and the yard is a dog's dream come true. Olga sent pictures daily and the communication was top notch. She even went above and beyond by accommodating a last minute change on our end. Thank you Olga for providing such great care and attention to our girl!

Fang and her family did a wonderful job taking care of Kaya. They made her a part of their own and made her feel very comfortable. Her updates consisted of photos and videos almost every day. They even got Kaya an Adventure dog calendar and made us a pawprint ornament. She was fed well, loved, and had lots of company with their puppy Juno. Juno was very energetic and playful, but from what I could tell in the videos, her and Kaya chased each other and otherwise played gentle (no bullying from either pup). Overall, we would highly recommend Fang for boarding.

Casey and her partner were wonderful with our wild pup, Fable! She is 8 mo old and has lots of energy but Casey and her dogs did a fantastic job wearing her out. They were great communicators and sent lots of pictures and updates. Fable can't wait until her next stay!

I left my cat with Emily for a long stay(about 6 months), and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, and I felt I could completely trust her during the entire time. I’m very grateful that she kept me updated often with photos of Lavey and how he was doing. She also understood our situation so well, and I truly appreciate her for that. If I ever need someone again, I would definitely choose Emily without hesitation. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
