“Jenn took such great care of Lucy dog while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and updates. Lucy was welcomed into Jenn’s and was allowed to make herself feel right at home.”
“Brenda was wonderful with our golden retriever, Sadie. She gave us daily updates and went out of her way to make Sadie feel safe and loved. Sadie is scared of thunderstorms and Brenda made sure to comfort her during those days. We appreciated the extra attention!”

“Denae was wonderful with our dog, Gizmo. She sent us a daily picture and it was very easy to communicate with her. I will definitely use her again the next time we go out of town.”

About: I’ve taken care of large/,medium & small dogs since I was 20. Neighbors, friends and family relied on me to groom, walk, feed & bath their pets, and I can do it for you. As I’m retired with plenty of time to care for your dog, and take it on walks, if you choose.. I do have a cat so your pet needs to be cat-friendly. I’m available for boarding/drop-off after 2 p.m., on weekdays & weekends, unless other arrangements made in advance. I am retired, and have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). I have a fenced yard, a large, covered, enclosed deck for lounging in open-air, 2 friendly small dogs, and a cat. Also live in fairly large house with my grandson who is 4 yrs. old (must get along w/child, small dogs & cat).. I can walk your dog if arrangements made in advance (for additional fee.) I crate my dogs at night, and prefer you provide a crate for your dog(s), as well.
“Kristin and Brant took amazing care of our pups and as always, were great communicators throughout the entire time our dogs were in their care. Highly recommend them!”

“Cara was so kind and kept me updated on how Pluto was doing. I felt at ease leaving him with her for the weekend. He loved playing with the dogs and seemed comfortable! He’ll be sleeping for a week straight after all that play time.”

“Linda is wonderful! Cairo loves staying with her! We appreciate how much care and effort she puts in when he stays with her. Would definitely recommend Linda to everyone!”

“Matt is excellent in every way. He communicates well, is responsive, experienced and so so understanding. This was the first time we left our puppy with someone other than family and let’s just say Matt had his hands full. But he handled everything in stride and with so much understanding and kindness. Our old gal and our puppy both had very happy stays. 100% recommend.”

“Trevor provided fantastic care for our dog while we were out of town. He is an excellent communicator and provided daily updates and photos. Our dog immediately bonded with Trevor and felt at home with him. We will definitely ask him to watch our dog again and recommend him whole heartedly!”

“Eric took wonderful care of our 1 year old miniature schnauzer Gracie. He took her for walks every day and Gracie enjoyed playing with Eric's small dog in their fenced backyard. Eric provided us with photos and updates every day we were away, which provided us with reassurance that our Gracie was doing ok. He also spent time cuddling and playing with her. Thank you Eric for taking such great care of our fur baby.”

“Danielle was fantastic! She was very accommodating and easy to work with, making drop-off and pick-up super smooth. I really appreciated all the photo updates— made it clear Franklin was happy, relaxed, and having a great time. I highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Lucas, thank you for watching Reese while we were away for the weekend. It was so nice knowing he was so well cared for. Always happy to see pictures of my puppy playing with dog friends. Also love having a puppy sitter that is so fast to respond to messages! You rock!”

“Shawna was amazing. Joey is a great dog but he does come with a specific set of instructions and Shawna did an incredible job following them. I could tell immediately she helped Joey feel safe and calm and at home. You can always tell when a sitter is doing this for a few extra bucks versus when they are truly doing it for the love of dogs - Shawna is the latter. I received regular updates, pictures and questions (good questions). Shawna was incredibly accommodating and treated Joey like her own. Cannot more highly recommend - thank you Shawna!!!”

“Odin came home with huge smiles from his week with Steve and his family. Wr received photos and updates. He got daily walks and lots of cuddles. It is such a relief to know that while we are far away on a vacation our teddy bear of a dog was in such good hands and getting lots of love. Highly recommend Steve and his family for any dog sitting needs. We will definitely be using them again.”

“Margaret made me feel comfortable from the start. She listened to Bardi’s schedule/quirks and made me feel at ease with her relaxed responses. She sent so many pictures and gave regular updates. I felt comfortable the entire time and Bardi had a great time.”

“Blu was an excellent host for our small dog Leo. Took him on daily walks and administered his medications. Great communicator, and even watched him an extra night due to our flight being delayed. Will definitely refer her and hopefully she’ll watch our dog again!”

About: Hi there! I'm Kat and I am looking to do some pet care! I am an animal lover at heart, and I know how hard it can be to find care for fur babies. I can do dog sitting for dogs of all ages and needs. For boarding, all I ask is that your dog is friendly so that they get along with mine. I have a 5 year old lab-great dane mix, and he is such a gentle giant. For sitting, I am happy to come to you! For walking, I can walk dogs of all ages and needs, and am happy to also take your dog for a run! Available any day, any time. I am a teacher and am currently on summer break, so I am free most of the time! Once school starts, my schedule will change a bit. For boarding in my home, I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks. I also make sure to walk my dog everyday at least once a day, and would do the same for you!
“Betty had the best time staying with Hannah, and I got to follow along through all the photos she sent! I feel lucky to have found her, and confident leaving Betty with her in the future.”

Samantha kept our little dog, Tinkerbell, for 6 nights while we traveled with our granddaughters. She is 13 yrs old and not used to staying anywhere except home so we were worried about how she would react. Samantha sent us a daily update and picture which really helped us see that she was doing just fine. Samantha took really good care of her and kept her safe which meant everything to us. We don't know if it will ever come up again since we live in Arizona but we would not hesitate to take her back to Samantha's if the need ever arises. Thanks, Samantha!

We are so fortunate we found Olga. She and her family were absolutely wonderful to our girl. They welcomed her into their home and treated her like family. She had a great time romping around with their sweet pup and the yard is a dog's dream come true. Olga sent pictures daily and the communication was top notch. She even went above and beyond by accommodating a last minute change on our end. Thank you Olga for providing such great care and attention to our girl!

Suzy and her family were absolutely wonderful for watching our mini golden doodle for a week. He had the best time and in the middle of trip Suzy graciously took him to our local vet for us when he had a situation that needed attention to help make the rest of his week more comfortable. We would absolutely use Suzy again and recommend her highly!

Fang and her family did a wonderful job taking care of Kaya. They made her a part of their own and made her feel very comfortable. Her updates consisted of photos and videos almost every day. They even got Kaya an Adventure dog calendar and made us a pawprint ornament. She was fed well, loved, and had lots of company with their puppy Juno. Juno was very energetic and playful, but from what I could tell in the videos, her and Kaya chased each other and otherwise played gentle (no bullying from either pup). Overall, we would highly recommend Fang for boarding.

Casey and her partner were wonderful with our wild pup, Fable! She is 8 mo old and has lots of energy but Casey and her dogs did a fantastic job wearing her out. They were great communicators and sent lots of pictures and updates. Fable can't wait until her next stay!

I left my cat with Emily for a long stay(about 6 months), and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, and I felt I could completely trust her during the entire time. I’m very grateful that she kept me updated often with photos of Lavey and how he was doing. She also understood our situation so well, and I truly appreciate her for that. If I ever need someone again, I would definitely choose Emily without hesitation. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
