“My dog is afraid of other dogs. Jamie spent time making sure he was comfortable and started the socialization process. I am very happy with her as a sitter and will board Hutch with her again.”

“How do I even begin to describe how thankful I am to have found these two?! Out of this world dog sitters. I have a very active border collie who is not the easiest to manage. They tired him out and loved him like he was their own. They’re also terrific about asking about his likes and needs, and updating often with photos showing how happy he was. Could not recommend them more.”
“Brenda is an absolute gem! From the very first meet and greet, she was so welcoming and reassuring, I knew Dingo would be in good hands. Her passion for animals shines through every time you talk to her. She provided amazing communication throughout the stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our Dingo dog!”
“Gina and Brett took great care of Sophie! They played lots of ball, said they had fun with her and that she is welcome back. We will definitely use them again!”

“My sweet little kitty was well cared for and loved during her stay. We got lots of pictures and informative messages during our vacation. So grateful that I could trust my cat to people so kind.”

“Eric took wonderful care of our little Baxter. He sent us lots of pictures and videos while we were away, and stayed in touch. Baxter became a bit over heated and Eric took great care of him and kept us up with how Baxter recovered. Thanks Eric for treating our pup like one of your own.”

“I'm so lucky I found Kaylee at the last minute to take care of my sick pup. We were headed out for spring break right when he came down with kennel cough, and she stepped in without hesitation. Kaylee took such great care of him. She sent daily pictures and updates, which really eased my worries. I appreciated her so much.”

“Kelly, her husband, and their dog Milo took great care of our dog Jake while we were gone for eight days. They did everything possible to make Jake feel comfortable (he is a nervous dog) and they treated him like family. I’m so thankful for their kindness and care.”

“Tyler was awesome again, Rona had such a good time with him. Tyler was available at the last minute and I really appreciated him being available to watch her again! Won’t hesitate to use Tyler again the next time I need someone to watch Rona!!!”

“Vanna is very selective about people she wants to stay with and when we walk in the door at Megan’s home, she doesn’t even look back at me! She loves the family- and especially the time w kids. She gets hugs and walks and comes home a relaxed and happy dog!”

“We recently left our dog, Toby, in the care of wonderful sitters Polly and Jeremy, we found through the Rover app for 22 nights. We couldn’t be happier with the experience! The sitters were extremely nice and maintained regular contact with us regarding Toby’s care, providing updates and photos that reassured us he was in great hands. Toby seemed to be happier than ever with the family, almost as if he was with us. We highly recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters. Thank you for taking such great care of our furry friend!”

“Blu is the absolute best! She took care of our pup while we were out of the country. She sent pics/videos daily which made us so happy and feel more at ease. Nivo came back happy and enjoyed his adventures. We have already rebooked! Thanks, Blue!!”

“Tom was great with Jake. Jake is 13 years old with bad eyesight and hearing and really bad back legs. Tom was great taking care of Jake’s needs. We had lots of pictures with Jack looking like he owned the place. We’ll definitely use him again. Tracy”

“Danielle was great. I was a bit apprehensive about leaving Beyla with someone she didn’t know. Danielle gave me updates daily and the pictures she sent gave me assurance that Beyla was being well cared for. I definitely recommend her!”

“Erin was great with my Great Pyrenees, Sammy. I could tell how happy he was during his stay there; he didn’t want to leave and took a long nap from all the fun he had when we got home. Loved the photo updates and was grateful she didn’t mind him snuggling up on the couch. I’d recommend Erin for any dog!”

“Kristy & Nathan were wonderful!!! They were attentive and knowledgeable with our very young puppy. They gave us frequent updates and our puppy is happy, and tired after a fun weekend away! Thank you again!”

Samantha kept our little dog, Tinkerbell, for 6 nights while we traveled with our granddaughters. She is 13 yrs old and not used to staying anywhere except home so we were worried about how she would react. Samantha sent us a daily update and picture which really helped us see that she was doing just fine. Samantha took really good care of her and kept her safe which meant everything to us. We don't know if it will ever come up again since we live in Arizona but we would not hesitate to take her back to Samantha's if the need ever arises. Thanks, Samantha!

We are so fortunate we found Olga. She and her family were absolutely wonderful to our girl. They welcomed her into their home and treated her like family. She had a great time romping around with their sweet pup and the yard is a dog's dream come true. Olga sent pictures daily and the communication was top notch. She even went above and beyond by accommodating a last minute change on our end. Thank you Olga for providing such great care and attention to our girl!

Suzy and her family were absolutely wonderful for watching our mini golden doodle for a week. He had the best time and in the middle of trip Suzy graciously took him to our local vet for us when he had a situation that needed attention to help make the rest of his week more comfortable. We would absolutely use Suzy again and recommend her highly!

Fang and her family did a wonderful job taking care of Kaya. They made her a part of their own and made her feel very comfortable. Her updates consisted of photos and videos almost every day. They even got Kaya an Adventure dog calendar and made us a pawprint ornament. She was fed well, loved, and had lots of company with their puppy Juno. Juno was very energetic and playful, but from what I could tell in the videos, her and Kaya chased each other and otherwise played gentle (no bullying from either pup). Overall, we would highly recommend Fang for boarding.

Casey and her partner were wonderful with our wild pup, Fable! She is 8 mo old and has lots of energy but Casey and her dogs did a fantastic job wearing her out. They were great communicators and sent lots of pictures and updates. Fable can't wait until her next stay!

I left my cat with Emily for a long stay(about 6 months), and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, and I felt I could completely trust her during the entire time. I’m very grateful that she kept me updated often with photos of Lavey and how he was doing. She also understood our situation so well, and I truly appreciate her for that. If I ever need someone again, I would definitely choose Emily without hesitation. Thank you so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
