About: Your dog gets a half-acre fenced yard on two acres, and a gate that opens straight onto open space and trail. No loading up in a car to find a walk, we step out the door and go. For a big dog with a real engine, that’s the whole difference. I have two labs of my own, a male and a female, both social and easy, so your dog has company and a pack to fall into rather than a crate and a quiet house. I’ve been boarding for friends and neighbors for 10, and I know what a bored 70-pound dog does to a living room, which is why exercise comes first here, not as a bonus. Good fit for: large breeds, working and sporting dogs, adolescents with too much energy, dogs who don’t do well kenneled. Not a good fit for: dogs who can’t be around other dogs, or who need to be kept separate. I’d rather say that up front than have anyone spend a bad weekend. I also offer dog walking and drop-in visits for locals who’d rather keep their dog at home. Same approach, a walk here means actual miles on real terrain, not fifteen minutes on pavement. Daily photos and a note, usually from somewhere on the trail. I work from home, so dogs aren’t alone for long stretches, I’m here through the day and the routine is built around that. Mornings start with a walk on the trail behind the house before I sit down to work. I leave the doors open so that dogs are able to go in and out of the fenced yard through the day while I’m at my desk, with a midday break for a longer outing. Late afternoon is the real hike, when my two labs go out and your dog goes with them. Evenings are quiet, everyone’s tired by then, which is the point. I do take calls during the day, so there are stretches where I’m at my desk rather than actively playing, but the dogs are with me, not shut away. Weekends are more of the same with longer hikes and no calls Containment: My yard is a half-acre fully fenced, on two acres backing to open space. Gates stay latched and I check them before any dog goes out. Dogs are never off-leash on the open space unless the owner has confirmed reliable recall and I’ve seen it myself on a long line first, otherwise we hike on leash, every time. In the house: Dogs are loose in the main living area with me and my two labs, not confined to a garage or basement. I have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or you’d prefer it, and I’m happy to keep whatever routine they already have. New dogs and mine are introduced outside on neutral ground before anyone comes in the house. Requirements: Up to date on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella. I ask for your vet’s contact and a backup person who can make decisions if I can’t reach you. Wildlife: We’re in the foothills, so coyotes, bears, and mountain lions are part of the landscape. Dogs go out into the fenced yard supervised, not unattended, and I don’t leave food or water bowls outside. Nobody is out in the yard alone at dawn or dusk. If something goes wrong: I’ll call you first, but I won’t wait on a callback to get a dog treated. My work is in wildfire and emergency planning, so I keep an evacuation plan for my own dogs including crates, leashes, records, and a go-bag ready and any boarding dog is included in it if there is an emergency.

About: I’ve cared for friends dogs as well as my own. I make it a point to pay attention to every dog individually and accommodate for uniqueness. I know some overheat and get tired faster than others, some dogs suffer from chronic ailments, and some are extremely energetic. I’m here for all of it. About: Hi! We are Kati and Mitch, a work from home couple living with our pack in the mountains. We’ve owned and raised dogs of all shapes and attitudes and sizes, so our experience covers most ground! Our 14 year old dog is a pit who was very reactive in his prime, teaching us a lot about how to handle reactive dogs safely, but now as a sleepy senior, he’s taught us more about senior dog care. We raised our second dog from a puppy, so she taught us so much about the adorable havoc that puppies can bring! Our newest is a rescue, who was a street dog in Texas. She was very skittish and is still people-shy, so we’ve learned a lot about how to approach wary dogs, and how to break those naughty habits she learned on the streets! We love our pack so much, and we’d love to use our knowledge to love yours too! We both work from home 100% of the time, so we are home all day if you need a daycare or want to board, your pup will rarely be left alone if ever! Our schedules are flexible enough that we can easily fit in multiple drop in visits or daily walks too. We have a fully fenced in yard, a little over half an acre. Our two younger dogs would love to play with a new friend, but will also give space if yours isn’t into the rough and tumble! Our dogs are all allowed on the furniture, one sleeps in bed with us. They are the center of our attention all day, yours will be no different! :)

About me - my husband and I have owned two beautiful Vizslas over the last 17 years and recently lost our 2nd one. I love animals, have plenty of experience caring for high energy and senior dogs (we cared for our dogs with arthritis, Cushing's Disease, muscle atrophy). I love walking, hiking and spending time with animals. I have a large 1 acre property and spacious home. No other pets, just me and my husband. I am perfectly happy caring for one pet at a time if you prefer your pet to be the only pet with me. I have also cared for friends' pets for a long time as well but am adding my services here to the Rover community. Thank you! I work from home full time, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am able to take breaks often during the day for potty breaks and walks. I often hang out in the yard as well. On some weekends I like to go hiking or boondock camping, I also enjoy visiting new places. I can bring your pet along on hikes, camping trips and picnics if your pet is able to join. It is ideal for me to care for pets that can be left at home for at least 3-4 hours at a time and unattended just in case I need to run errands, especially for longer bookings. If not, I can bring them with me if it is an option. Open to discussion! :) Crates are fine if they are crate trained and unable to roam around the house alone. I have a spacious 1 acre property, but it is unfenced. However it is far from the road and our area is very quiet. I can keep your pet on a leash for potty breaks if they are prone to running away. My house is spacious and has two floors with just the two of us and no other pets or kids. The stairs and floors are covered in non-slip rugs for pets. I have a baby gate to keep your pet safe from stairs if needed. There are extra rugs for the floors if needed (our senior dogs used to slip a lot). I also have a large deck that is fully enclosed - dogs love hanging out there! Since I am home a lot, I can take your pet for a walk, hang out outside or let them keep me company on the couch too! I can also come over your home and care for your pet there as needed (depends on length of stay requested).
About: With a lifetime of animal love and care, I was most recently a doggie foster parent. This gave me experience with both behavioral and medical care, and raised my personal bar for doggie care. Thus, we are able to board mid-week *if* your dog is COOL (plays well, non-destructive, low flight risk), and knows how to use a doggie door. We have a great record of caring for our dogs and we will be able to safely and reliably take care and keep your dog safe and happy in a comfortable and clean home. We typically feed our dogs in the morning and evening, but can accommodate your pups needs. Our home is very clean and well taken care of. There is a main level in which we hang out with great room, office and kitchen. The dogs have free-roam of the main level which has laminate flooring, but covered with carpet squares as one of our dogs does not like walking on hardwood floors. So, it is mostly carpeted for her comfort. We have a large sectional in which we allow dogs to snuggle with us while watching TV. The LARGE yard is mostly grass, some mulch/landscaped trees & shrubs, with concrete patio in which we spend a lot of time dining and reading. We pick up poop DAILY. During the evening, if you request your dog could be crated in the bedroom in which one of us is sleeping as dogs are pack animals and they don't like being separated from the pack. We keep them close to us. But, we want to keep everyone safe, so the crate is available (optional) for their safety as well as ours/our pets. But again, they are slumbering in the same room with us.

About: I dog sit my friends' dog occassionally. I'm an attentive person who would love to play with pets as much as I can. I know sign language that I can use to communicate with dogs. I love outdoor activities that I'm more than willing to take pets along. I enjoy walks enough even that I do take walks with my outdoor cats. I work from home full time. My home has a medium sized fenced yard. My neighborhood has fantastic trails where I can take dogs for a walk! I used to volunteer as a dog walker at South Platte River Humane Society. About: There is nothing better than coming home to a sweet furry face! Our pets are family too and I’ll take care of your pet as if it were my own. I only accept up to 2 clients at a time to ensure the best experience. About: I’ve been raising, fostering and rescuing dogs for the past 13 years. I’ve been through all the dog life stages and dealt with all varieties of dog behavioral and medical issues. Everyone I know says that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs-spoiled to no end! About: I've been a devoted dog lover since childhood when my mom would take in strays and rescues from the streets. I helped groom, train, love, and care for these sweet souls. Today, I work as a part-time substitute school teacher but find that I need more four footed companionship and outside time in my life, so I'd love to be your go to dog walker on my days off. I've always helped my friends and neighbors with their dogs (walking or pet sitting), and I'm good big dogs and little dogs. With 20+ years of teaching experience, you know that I have oodles of patience and consistency to rely on, and lots of caring and affection to give. Please let me help you give your pets the care and attention that they need when you're at work or on vacation! I'm working part time as a substitute teacher--this means that I generally work 3 days a week, and am often home by 3:30. I have afternoons available for longer walks and play-time. I am not able to board dogs in my own home, but in your home I can make sure that your dog or cat has the kind of love and care that they are used to whether they are an inside dog or outside. Walking is one of my favorite activities so I'm there to make sure that you're dog and myself are getting the exercise we need!
About: I’ve cared for friends dogs as well as my own. I make it a point to pay attention to every dog individually and accommodate for uniqueness. I know some overheat and get tired faster than others, some dogs suffer from chronic ailments, and some are extremely energetic. I’m here for all of it. I am currently a college graduate (Mines) so I pick up pet care opportunities full time while I search for a more permanent career field. About: With a lifetime of animal love and care, I was most recently a doggie foster parent. This gave me experience with both behavioral and medical care, and raised my personal bar for doggie care. I truly enjoy the company of animals, and working predominantly from home, my partner and I are able to take breaks for walks and drop ins as needed! We have two SWEET dogs at home - who haven't met a dog they didn't love- that could join in the walk, or we could go solo with your pups! About: I have a HUGE heart for animals! Growing up we had several different breeds of dogs as well as my husband and I raising our kids with animals. My experience with animals teaches me compassion, empathy, responsibility and even discipline. I am passionate about treating your fur babies the way I would want mine treated. While in your home I will let them sleep where you want them to sleep, feed them as you instructed, give necessary medication and supplements & will leave your house as clean as you left it!
