About: I'm the proud owner of Layla, my 6-year-old Great Pyrenees, so I know big breeds well. I've cared for dogs from family and friends — from playful puppies to gentle seniors — and I understand that every dog is different, with their own needs and personality. I love giving each pup safe, attentive, and affectionate care. I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I'm able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the dogs in my care throughout the day. Pet care isn't something I have to squeeze in around other commitments — it's a priority I can build my day around, whether that's regular walks, sticking to feeding and potty schedules, or just spending quality time with a dog so they're never left alone too long. My availability means I can be reliable and consistent for both walks and in-home sitting. When caring for your dog in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow the feeding, walking, and potty schedule you set, and make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Every dog is different, so I keep a close eye on their behavior and needs and always put their comfort and safety first. On walks, I keep dogs securely leashed, stick to familiar routes, and adjust the pace and distance to fit their age, energy level, and breed. I'll also send updates and photos so you can relax while you're away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 5, I’m now 31 years old so it’s second nature. We have 4 ourself, and 11 fish tanks so big animal lovers here, dogs get free rein of the house and we have a big yard for them to do their business as well! We also have a big trail next to us for walking needs as well, we look forward to you booking with us Not working right now, so my time is spent at home with the animals fully. I try to stay home as much as possible so I’m fully committed to your dog I have a 3 bedroom spacious double wide trailer where two of the rooms are dog rooms so plenty of room for dogs, we don’t have a “fenced” yard but we have a huge area with a 50 ft lead where we sit on the porch with the dogs while they do their business

About: Your dog gets a half-acre fenced yard on two acres, and a gate that opens straight onto open space and trail. No loading up in a car to find a walk, we step out the door and go. For a big dog with a real engine, that’s the whole difference. I have two labs of my own, a male and a female, both social and easy, so your dog has company and a pack to fall into rather than a crate and a quiet house. I’ve been boarding for friends and neighbors for 10, and I know what a bored 70-pound dog does to a living room, which is why exercise comes first here, not as a bonus. Good fit for: large breeds, working and sporting dogs, adolescents with too much energy, dogs who don’t do well kenneled. Not a good fit for: dogs who can’t be around other dogs, or who need to be kept separate. I’d rather say that up front than have anyone spend a bad weekend. I also offer dog walking and drop-in visits for locals who’d rather keep their dog at home. Same approach, a walk here means actual miles on real terrain, not fifteen minutes on pavement. Daily photos and a note, usually from somewhere on the trail. I work from home, so dogs aren’t alone for long stretches, I’m here through the day and the routine is built around that. Mornings start with a walk on the trail behind the house before I sit down to work. I leave the doors open so that dogs are able to go in and out of the fenced yard through the day while I’m at my desk, with a midday break for a longer outing. Late afternoon is the real hike, when my two labs go out and your dog goes with them. Evenings are quiet, everyone’s tired by then, which is the point. I do take calls during the day, so there are stretches where I’m at my desk rather than actively playing, but the dogs are with me, not shut away. Weekends are more of the same with longer hikes and no calls Containment: My yard is a half-acre fully fenced, on two acres backing to open space. Gates stay latched and I check them before any dog goes out. Dogs are never off-leash on the open space unless the owner has confirmed reliable recall and I’ve seen it myself on a long line first, otherwise we hike on leash, every time. In the house: Dogs are loose in the main living area with me and my two labs, not confined to a garage or basement. I have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or you’d prefer it, and I’m happy to keep whatever routine they already have. New dogs and mine are introduced outside on neutral ground before anyone comes in the house. Requirements: Up to date on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella. I ask for your vet’s contact and a backup person who can make decisions if I can’t reach you. Wildlife: We’re in the foothills, so coyotes, bears, and mountain lions are part of the landscape. Dogs go out into the fenced yard supervised, not unattended, and I don’t leave food or water bowls outside. Nobody is out in the yard alone at dawn or dusk. If something goes wrong: I’ll call you first, but I won’t wait on a callback to get a dog treated. My work is in wildfire and emergency planning, so I keep an evacuation plan for my own dogs including crates, leashes, records, and a go-bag ready and any boarding dog is included in it if there is an emergency.

“Ken is the absolute best! I had just moved in to town after taking a job in the area and had to leave for 2 weeks to attend a conference in Indiana. Ken met up with me not only once, but twice before he started dog sitting to ensure that my 5 year old German Shepherd was fully comfortable with the idea of Ken coming by to visit! Ken constantly kept me updated with messages and photos every time he’d check on my dog. There was a point in which my dog was running low on dog food. Ken informed me of this and went out to buy it on his own time! Even though this was the longest time I had ever had to spend away from my dog, Ken’s attentiveness and compassion displayed towards my pup reassured me that I chose the BEST possible person to watch my beloved friend while I was away!”

About: As a owner of 3 dogs myself, I know how hard it can be to find someone you truly trust with your pets. I recently moved to Colorado and have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to provide dogs with the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I’m active and love getting outside for walks and adventures, but I’m just as happy spending time with a dog who prefers a slower pace and extra attention at home. Having my own dogs means I understand their routines, personalities, quirks, and how important it is to know they’re safe and genuinely cared for while you’re away. If you live closer to me-- Evergreen area, I can work with you and your needs more personalized. I'm a very cautious and conscientious caretaker. About: I’ve been raising, fostering and rescuing dogs for the past 13 years. I’ve been through all the dog life stages and dealt with all varieties of dog behavioral and medical issues. Everyone I know says that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs-spoiled to no end! I work for myself and mostly from home so I am very flexible with my schedule and my ability to spend a lot of quality time with you dog. Also, I have about 10 fenced in acres up in the mountains that is a great place to bring you pup for some off leash playtime if that’s something you’re interested in I have a lot of space in my home and also over 10 fenced in acres to explore (with supervision, of course). Outdoor play/ walk time at my house can be on or off lease depending on what you are most comfortable with

I’m super reliable, easygoing, and I pay attention to the little things, whether that’s sticking to your dog’s routine or just making sure they feel comfortable while you’re gone. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and getting them outside, so it never feels like a chore. Happy to help with walks, drop-ins, or sitting, whatever you need! I live in Evergreen and work at a running store in Golden during the week (and some weekends), but I have a flexible schedule and am available at different times throughout the day. I can usually make mornings, afternoons, or evenings work depending on what you need. I try to keep things as close to your dog’s normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and relaxed. I pay attention to feeding, walks, and any specific instructions you give. I’m very mindful on walks and always prioritize safety. In your home, I’m respectful, clean, and consistent. I also send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands.

About: I learned pet care from an early age from a dog loving family and then worked with the humane society and spent time with professional trainers. I am a retired school teacher with lots of free time! I love talking brisk, long walks with caninne companions and seeing mature up close. I live in a beautiful condo in Genesee. There is a ton of outdoor space and easy acces to trails. Great for dogs and humans.

About: I have had dogs,cats,bunnies,chickens throughout my life. I know how to care for each one. I am a trusted and reliable handler with any family pet(s). Being a animal person is in my blood and I absolutely love it and enjoy caring for them. Currently I have a part time job. I also ride horses for friends that are away on trips. Together they don't pay my bills. Working with dogs and other animals for clients I have been thinking of doing for awhile now. It would be much appreciated to have you as my client and make this a career. I already have three dogs with me. Having any animals stay over at my house will not be an option at all. My dogs can be very wild and not the best behaved around new furry friends. For the safety of your pet and mine it would be best to dog sit over night at the clients home if preferred. Everything else is open.
