About: I've been a devoted dog lover since childhood when my mom would take in strays and rescues from the streets. I helped groom, train, love, and care for these sweet souls. Today, I work as a part-time substitute school teacher but find that I need more four footed companionship and outside time in my life, so I'd love to be your go to dog walker on my days off. I've always helped my friends and neighbors with their dogs (walking or pet sitting), and I'm good big dogs and little dogs. With 20+ years of teaching experience, you know that I have oodles of patience and consistency to rely on, and lots of caring and affection to give. Please let me help you give your pets the care and attention that they need when you're at work or on vacation! I'm working part time as a substitute teacher--this means that I generally work 3 days a week, and am often home by 3:30. I have afternoons available for longer walks and play-time. I am not able to board dogs in my own home, but in your home I can make sure that your dog or cat has the kind of love and care that they are used to whether they are an inside dog or outside. Walking is one of my favorite activities so I'm there to make sure that you're dog and myself are getting the exercise we need!

About: Your dog gets a half-acre fenced yard on two acres, and a gate that opens straight onto open space and trail. No loading up in a car to find a walk, we step out the door and go. For a big dog with a real engine, that’s the whole difference. I have two labs of my own, a male and a female, both social and easy, so your dog has company and a pack to fall into rather than a crate and a quiet house. I’ve been boarding for friends and neighbors for 10, and I know what a bored 70-pound dog does to a living room, which is why exercise comes first here, not as a bonus. Good fit for: large breeds, working and sporting dogs, adolescents with too much energy, dogs who don’t do well kenneled. Not a good fit for: dogs who can’t be around other dogs, or who need to be kept separate. I’d rather say that up front than have anyone spend a bad weekend. I also offer dog walking and drop-in visits for locals who’d rather keep their dog at home. Same approach, a walk here means actual miles on real terrain, not fifteen minutes on pavement. Daily photos and a note, usually from somewhere on the trail. I work from home, so dogs aren’t alone for long stretches, I’m here through the day and the routine is built around that. Mornings start with a walk on the trail behind the house before I sit down to work. I leave the doors open so that dogs are able to go in and out of the fenced yard through the day while I’m at my desk, with a midday break for a longer outing. Late afternoon is the real hike, when my two labs go out and your dog goes with them. Evenings are quiet, everyone’s tired by then, which is the point. I do take calls during the day, so there are stretches where I’m at my desk rather than actively playing, but the dogs are with me, not shut away. Weekends are more of the same with longer hikes and no calls Containment: My yard is a half-acre fully fenced, on two acres backing to open space. Gates stay latched and I check them before any dog goes out. Dogs are never off-leash on the open space unless the owner has confirmed reliable recall and I’ve seen it myself on a long line first, otherwise we hike on leash, every time. In the house: Dogs are loose in the main living area with me and my two labs, not confined to a garage or basement. I have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or you’d prefer it, and I’m happy to keep whatever routine they already have. New dogs and mine are introduced outside on neutral ground before anyone comes in the house. Requirements: Up to date on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella. I ask for your vet’s contact and a backup person who can make decisions if I can’t reach you. Wildlife: We’re in the foothills, so coyotes, bears, and mountain lions are part of the landscape. Dogs go out into the fenced yard supervised, not unattended, and I don’t leave food or water bowls outside. Nobody is out in the yard alone at dawn or dusk. If something goes wrong: I’ll call you first, but I won’t wait on a callback to get a dog treated. My work is in wildfire and emergency planning, so I keep an evacuation plan for my own dogs including crates, leashes, records, and a go-bag ready and any boarding dog is included in it if there is an emergency.

About: I’ve been raising, fostering and rescuing dogs for the past 13 years. I’ve been through all the dog life stages and dealt with all varieties of dog behavioral and medical issues. Everyone I know says that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs-spoiled to no end! I work for myself and mostly from home so I am very flexible with my schedule and my ability to spend a lot of quality time with you dog. Also, I have about 10 fenced in acres up in the mountains that is a great place to bring you pup for some off leash playtime if that’s something you’re interested in I have a lot of space in my home and also over 10 fenced in acres to explore (with supervision, of course). Outdoor play/ walk time at my house can be on or off lease depending on what you are most comfortable with

About: I adore dogs and enjoy playing with them. I have lots of experience with high-energy dogs and will be happy taking them for runs and walks. I have a very flexible schedule since I work from home. Dogs in my care are rarely left alone and can spend as much time inside or outside as they want. I can also take your dog on as many walks or runs as they need. I have a large unfenced property and about an acre that is fenced in. I also have two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and three older children that can play with your dog if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 5, I’m now 31 years old so it’s second nature. We have 4 ourself, and 11 fish tanks so big animal lovers here, dogs get free rein of the house and we have a big yard for them to do their business as well! I try to stay home as much as possible so I’m fully committed to your dog I have a 3 bedroom spacious double wide trailer where two of the rooms are dog rooms so plenty of room for dogs, we don’t have a “fenced” yard but we have a huge area with a 50 ft lead where we sit on the porch with the dogs while they do their business

About: My childhood dream job was to become a zookeeper. I did everything I could to get close: volunteered at animal rescues, pet sat whenever possible, interned at a vet clinic. Plot twist: despite everything, I did not end up workin g at the zoo. Instead, I became the weirdo who'd rather hangout with the pets at house parties and I've never met a furry friend I didn't like, even the "challenging" one. I've got my own little family of fur babies: been a cat mom for the last 9 years. And last year, adopted a senior dog who is a dream wrapped in floof. I don't have formal training credentials, but I am obsessed with how to tend to our furry friends with attunement and compassion. I work from home which means your pet has company most of the day and I do my best to help them feel at home wherever they are. Pet care fits naturally into my WFH routine. I'm available/ flexible throughout the day, with good weekend availability as well. I have some fixed commitments that shift week to week, but I keep my calendar current and won't book what I can't fully show up for. My home is a quiet, nature-forward neighborhood in Evergreen, nestled in the kind of place where a walk around the block feels like a small adventure. No fenced yard, but since I work from home, we make up for it with frequent neighborhood walks throughout the day. For boarding, I tailor the setup to your pet. Some dogs get full run of the space. Others do better with a slower introduction and defined zones. I follow your lead and theirs. My own crew: one very social senior dog who has a particular gift for putting nervous dogs at ease, and two cats who are more selective. If your pet and my cats need space from each other, we have the rooms to make that work comfortably. I'll always ask about your pet's needs, quirks, and preferences before they arrive. The goal is for them to feel at home.

About: I think animals can feel my admiration for their kind the second we meet. My core belief in positive reinforcement leaves animals of all types feeling happy as ever. Ever since I was a kid I was hired to house/dogsit, take neighborhood dogs on walks, and let friend’s dogs stay over. In addition to that, I have an 8 year old German Shepherd who took a lot of training to get socialized. I recently moved to Conifer and have loved exploring the trails and open space with him, and I bring that same outdoor energy to every dog I care for. I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time during the day, and I always love a reason to get outside. I like to research training techniques and love bringing what I learn to life. Being in dog care is my ideal part time job because coming across a dog is the highlight of my day every time it happens. When I’ve needed a Rover sitter to look after my dog, I’ve really enjoyed getting updates and pictures. That’s the kind of care I deliver as well. I work at home full-time from 8am-5pm Mon-Fri and have flexibility to leave as needed. This allows me frequent visits to homes and taking dogs on walks. I have a fenced backyard but dogs must be leashed so I will not have them off-leash. I am happy to put dogs in crates and tend to specific medical needs.
