About: I've been a lifelong animal lover, and I’ve always had pets growing up -- several cats, guinea pigs, fish -- so I’m really comfortable around animals. I also rode horses for a few years, which gave me good experience with larger, more unique animals. Last year in Alaska, I dog walked and cared for cats while their owners were away. I made sure they stayed happy and healthy with many walks, and kept in touch with the owners too, giving updates and adjusting routines as needed. As someone who’s very active and loves the outdoors, watching and walking dogs was a fun way to make a little extra money on the side and have a companion on my long walks! I do have a full-time job, but I’m looking for something on the side to help pay off student loans. I’m definitely an active person who enjoys a busy schedule, so I’m used to balancing multiple things at once and am confident I can handle both work and pet care without any issues. I’m currently in college but my family has been fostering dogs since I was in middle school, so I have experience with every kind of dog from 8-week puppies to older dogs to three legged ones! Mario is a gem! Olive and I had such a great experience with Mario — he’s friendly, professional, and truly knows his stuff when it comes to dogs. From the very beginning, he connected with Olive and made her feel at ease. She was always excited to see him, and I felt completely confident leaving her in his care. What really stood out was how Mario handled an unexpected stomach issue Olive had one day. When he arrived for her walk, he noticed she’d had an accident inside and immediately recognized that something was off. Not only did he take care of the cleanup without hesitation, but he also kept me updated with calm, thoughtful messages and even brought rice on a follow-up visit to help settle her stomach. That kind of attentiveness instills so much confidence and really reinforces just how much he cares about the dogs he works with. Mario goes well beyond the basics — he’s compassionate, attentive, and clearly invested in the dogs he looks after. Olive and I are both so lucky to have found him. Can’t recommend him highly enough!
