“Anita did a great job with my kitties, spending quality cuddle time with them and making sure they were doing ok while we were away. She even tidied up around the litter box. Would recommend!”

“Pam was so great with our two kitties while we were away. She was on time every day and we truly appreciated the extra steps she took like vacuuming and offering to take out the trash. Would definitely book again. Thanks!”

“Devora did a great job watching our new rescue puppy for a week while we were away. We are still in training mode and Devora helped a great deal in getting closer to our goal. We highly recommend Devora for your pet sitting needs.”

About: I've had 3 cats and 2 dogs. My current dog is 13. They've all lived a long, happy life. I would be happy to share my love with animals other than my own. Working part-time allows me time to spend with my dog as well as others. I can accomodate any time Monday-Thursday and limited times Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Whether for the work day or a vacation, I understand that it is stressful to leave your animal alone. I will treat your pets and home as if they were my own. Let's chat to see if we are a good fit.

About: I speak Spanish, so feel free to communicate however is better for you! I have personally helped my family and friends with pet sitting since I was a kid. I’ve been scooping poop and petting animals for a long time. I love to be active and can easily adapt if your pet doesn’t. My availability is completely flexible and open to fit your needs! I can be up as early as you need or as late! I currently live with a dog so it is like first nature to provide for your pet’s needs :) As someone who loves animals and also children, certain safety precautions are necessary in my mind. I, also, love to update and share pictures with parents who miss their babies!
“I was a bit hesitant leaving her with anyone, BUT SHANNIA is fantastic with my English Bulldog! She has a right shoulder injury and Shannia picks my dog up (weighing 54 lbs) up and downstairs! She wipes her 🐾 really good! She is amazing”

“Hillary was great at handling all my questions since the day I was leaving my cat started having issues with his eye. She followed my snack and medicine request perfectly and made sure everything in the house was secure before she left. Both cats were happy and well taken care of.”

About: Whether you need a simple walk, overnight care, or more specialized services (like drop-in visits for feeding and playtime), I offer a variety of flexible options to fit your dog’s routine and your schedule. I know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away, so I send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see your dog enjoying their time, knowing they're in great hands. I currently have a rather flexible schedule because I only work freelance so I can make plenty of time for your pets and their needs. When I care for pets at your home, I make sure to stick to your pet's usual schedule—whether that’s feeding, walking, or playtime. This routine consistency helps reduce stress and keeps them comfortable in their familiar environment.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was 9 years old. I’ve had two dogs that my sisters and I took care of making sure they got along well and played with each other. I’ve also taken care of my neighbors dogs while they were away on vacation. I’m currently on a long winter break from college, so I’ll have plenty of free time to care for your dogs! I have open availability from 11am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and open availability 10am to 9:30pm Saturday and Sunday. I can care for pets in a client’s home by abiding by a walking and feeding schedule, as well as playing with the pets and giving them lots of love.
About: I’ve taken care of pit bulls, golden retrievers, and tabby cats! Entrusted by friends and family with their pets, I’ve learned that I have a great affinity for animals (maybe more than I do for people) I currently work evenings at a restaurant, and I’m searching for daytime employment as we speak. In the meantime, I’m open to daytime supervision of animals as well as overnights after work. I have a fenced-in yard and a very docile and friendly golden retriever. She’s 11 and gets along with every animal she meets. When taking care of a pet at client’s homes, I prioritize leaving it in the same or better condition than I found it.
About: I grew up with pets all my life especially dogs. whenever my family has went on vacation they would call me to watch and take care of their pets. I work full time during the week. tuesdays and thursdays i would be available after 4, monday wednesday and friday after 6. my weekends are completely open! my dog is a rescue so I have a lot of experience with anxious animals. “It was my first time using Rover and Jenn did a great job taking care of my cat, Luna. Luna was a bit nervous and Jenn took the time to make her comfortable and they were best friends by the end! I would definitely book Jenn again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of various dogs since I was 12 years old. I have walked dogs from 3 months old to 14 years old, each with unique love and care catered towards the pup! I am currently working part time, so I have lots of free time to spend with some fluffy friends. I have a 9 year old havanese at my home who I love and care for as well. I'm happy to go off what you as the pet owner think is best for your pet. Every pet has their own quirks and preferences. I'm flexible to do long or short walks, dog park visits and playtime.
“I felt very comfortable going out of town and leaving my new cat in Kathy's care. He's very shy but she managed to see him. There was good communication and I found her to be very caring.”

“I am a new Rover user and was nervous about entrusting my 8-month-old puppy to someone I didn't know. But Samantha exceeded expectations in many ways! She clearly loves dogs and was excited to meet my Yogi. She gave him a wonderful walk, made sure he had plenty of water, and even adjusted her schedule to meet our preferred timeline. Yogi was happy as a clam when we got home, and we are thrilled that we now have a reliable sitter to call for future needs.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Norwalk
Anita was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Mila, during her drop-in visits this past weekend. Mila is currently recovering from a tail injury and has to wear a cone, so we were especially nervous about leaving her, but Anita was incredibly attentive, patient, and caring throughout the entire stay. She went above and beyond what we booked her for — on Saturday she stayed extra time with Mila to make sure she was comfortable, and she even hand-fed her to encourage her to eat. It was clear from her updates that she genuinely cared about Mila’s wellbeing and comfort. Mila also clearly loved her and was excited to see her during the visits, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Anita provided detailed drop-in notes, great communication, and very clear photos after each visit, which we really appreciated. She also brought in our packages for us, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. We’re so grateful for the care and attention Anita gave Mila and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

Emma is such a thoughtful and caring sitter. She communicates so well and truly stepped up and helped me out in a stressful time. Having a last minute, long trip come up was made easier knowing someone who loves cats and is responsible was helping me out in my apartment and with my cat. Emma even left some extra treats for both my pets and myself. She is so wonderful! Lulu loves her and we are so thankful to have found her.

Ferris was amazing with our two rascals! They got into anything and everything they could but Ferris cleaned up after them and fortified areas of our place. He was very communicative, generous, and thoughtful. Our boys also seemed to have so much fun and loved having him around. I highly recommend booking with Ferris to look after your little ones :)

Jill has watched our cats several times over the last few years, and she is always our #1 pick on Rover if she's available. She sends us tons of pictures, plays with them, communicates throughout, and our cats really love her (they are typically shy with strangers, but they always remember Jill). She's the best.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
