About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was 9 years old. I’ve had two dogs that my sisters and I took care of making sure they got along well and played with each other. I’ve also taken care of my neighbors dogs while they were away on vacation. I’m currently on a long winter break from college, so I’ll have plenty of free time to care for your dogs! I have open availability from 11am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and open availability 10am to 9:30pm Saturday and Sunday. I can care for pets in a client’s home by abiding by a walking and feeding schedule, as well as playing with the pets and giving them lots of love.
“Hillary was great at handling all my questions since the day I was leaving my cat started having issues with his eye. She followed my snack and medicine request perfectly and made sure everything in the house was secure before she left. Both cats were happy and well taken care of.”

“Anita was a wonderful pet sitter & dog walker to our lab when we went away for a couple days. Our dog, Cadbury, loves her and we appreciate the time spent and love shown to her! Anita was attentive and communicative, and we can’t wait to book her again for the future!”

“Extremely impressed with Maria taking care of my cat. My cat is newly rescued and very scared of people. While I was away my cat found some places I didn't even know were possible to hide that were probably not very safe for a cat. Maria went out of her way to get my cat out, and prevent her from going back. By the end of the week my cat was even opening up a bit towards her.”

About: Growing up with cats and various household pets, and loving dogs all my life has lead me to care and appreciate pets into my adult life. Looking to take care of the ones who love us the most for you. I am currently a full time music educator during the weekdays so I am available after school to walk and pet sit on an hourly basis. On Fridays and weekends I am also available for over night care as needed. In your home I will abide by all rules and routines you may have already. I can also ensure consistent care and attention to your pet’s needs.
“Our cats were very happy when we came back, we got consistent updates and photos, she was communicative and she did what we had asked regarding the care of our kitties as well as keeping our home secure. We recommend booking Patricia, and will use her in the future! Thank you! 😻😻”

About: I’ve taken care of pit bulls, golden retrievers, and tabby cats! Entrusted by friends and family with their pets, I’ve learned that I have a great affinity for animals (maybe more than I do for people) I currently work evenings at a restaurant, and I’m searching for daytime employment as we speak. In the meantime, I’m open to daytime supervision of animals as well as overnights after work. I have a fenced-in yard and a very docile and friendly golden retriever. She’s 11 and gets along with every animal she meets. When taking care of a pet at client’s homes, I prioritize leaving it in the same or better condition than I found it.
“We have had Tanya over for drop in visits multiple times. My dog is so happy when she arrives and instantly wants to play. She gives thorough report cards and lots of photos. Thank you!”

About: I've had 3 cats and 2 dogs. My current dog is 13. They've all lived a long, happy life. I would be happy to share my love with animals other than my own. Working part-time allows me time to spend with my dog as well as others. I can accomodate any time Monday-Thursday and limited times Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Whether for the work day or a vacation, I understand that it is stressful to leave your animal alone. I will treat your pets and home as if they were my own. Let's chat to see if we are a good fit.
“Pam was so great with our two kitties while we were away. She was on time every day and we truly appreciated the extra steps she took like vacuuming and offering to take out the trash. Would definitely book again. Thanks!”

“I felt very comfortable going out of town and leaving my new cat in Kathy's care. He's very shy but she managed to see him. There was good communication and I found her to be very caring.”

“Alysa was one of the best pet-sitters we have ever had! I would most definitely recommend her. She was communicative, timely, asked questions to confirm, and paid attention to details. Thanks for taking care for our Bailey!”

About: Hi there! I’ve mostly taken care of cats, but I’m open to taking care of dogs & god walking if they are good with people. I work from home so having a pet to play with on my breaks will for sure keep me entertained all day! I’m a young, energetic man who works a remote corporate job. Looking for a pet to love & play with during the day so I don’t stare at my screen all day. My schedule is pretty flexible since I work from home. I do usually eat dinner with my family, so it would be ideal if I could go back home for a couple hours in the evening to eat with them. I’m an affectionate person who loves to play with pets because they get exercise & I get to destress. Especially since I work from home, I definitely have the time to give your pet the care & attention that you request. Lastly, as someone who loves to talk, I talk to pets all the time, of course in a sweet tone because I truly believe that dogs & cats can understand the things we say to them!
“I was a bit hesitant leaving her with anyone, BUT SHANNIA is fantastic with my English Bulldog! She has a right shoulder injury and Shannia picks my dog up (weighing 54 lbs) up and downstairs! She wipes her 🐾 really good! She is amazing”

“Was great to have such a lovely caretaker take care of my kitty while I had to travel. Came out before the scheduled time to meet my cat and the reliable communication was great peace of mind! Would recommend and will absolutely use again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Norwalk
Anita was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Mila, during her drop-in visits this past weekend. Mila is currently recovering from a tail injury and has to wear a cone, so we were especially nervous about leaving her, but Anita was incredibly attentive, patient, and caring throughout the entire stay. She went above and beyond what we booked her for — on Saturday she stayed extra time with Mila to make sure she was comfortable, and she even hand-fed her to encourage her to eat. It was clear from her updates that she genuinely cared about Mila’s wellbeing and comfort. Mila also clearly loved her and was excited to see her during the visits, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Anita provided detailed drop-in notes, great communication, and very clear photos after each visit, which we really appreciated. She also brought in our packages for us, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. We’re so grateful for the care and attention Anita gave Mila and would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

Emma is such a thoughtful and caring sitter. She communicates so well and truly stepped up and helped me out in a stressful time. Having a last minute, long trip come up was made easier knowing someone who loves cats and is responsible was helping me out in my apartment and with my cat. Emma even left some extra treats for both my pets and myself. She is so wonderful! Lulu loves her and we are so thankful to have found her.

Ferris was amazing with our two rascals! They got into anything and everything they could but Ferris cleaned up after them and fortified areas of our place. He was very communicative, generous, and thoughtful. Our boys also seemed to have so much fun and loved having him around. I highly recommend booking with Ferris to look after your little ones :)

Jill has watched our cats several times over the last few years, and she is always our #1 pick on Rover if she's available. She sends us tons of pictures, plays with them, communicates throughout, and our cats really love her (they are typically shy with strangers, but they always remember Jill). She's the best.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
