“Stefanie was absolutely wonderful taking care of my cats! She was very patient, caring, and attentive with them. Every day she kept me updated on how they were doing and sent me pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My cats felt very comfortable and relaxed around her, and that means a lot to me because I really care about who I trust with them. I could tell that she treated them with genuine love and care. I’m very grateful to Stefanie and would definitely trust her to take care of my cats again. “i never met elvia, only spoke on the phone, making arrangements for my dog. Having never met her, leaving my house keys was honestly a bit uncomfortable for me. however, given her excellent reviews, i decided to just trust and go for it. elvia came exactly on time, fed and played with my dog for a half hour and then left. everything went just as planned. her communication was great, which was essential, and put me at ease. i had a postive experience.”

“Nina is wonderful. She made me feel so safe leaving my 7 month old puppy. I was able to enjoy my vacation and my dog loved her. She has great character and is an educated woman. I was blessed to find her . I wish she lived closer to me.”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, including dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. I’ve trained multiple puppies, cared for senior dogs, and have years of experience looking after cats. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and always make sure each pet feels safe and loved. I currently work from home, so I have a flexible schedule for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. At the moment, I’m not able to offer boarding, as my own pets may not adjust well to new animals in the home. My approach is calm and understanding. I like to respect each pet’s unique personality and habits. I don’t believe in being overly strict, but I always make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“I feel so lucky to have found Cassidy, she is simply the best. She went far beyond expectations when one of my cats was being very difficult. I appreciate all her efforts and flexibility. You could not find a better sitter. Highly recommend”

“Hanaya was great with our anxious mini-Golden doodle. She took great care of him, and was extremely flexible with dates and times. We will definitely use Hanaya again!”

“Bianca has amazing communication skills! I’m reassured my pet is well loved by her. She bonded with him right away! She’s considerate to his needs. She went above and beyond when my dog didn’t want to “make”.”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience with Alison! She stepped in at the very last minute and took such wonderful care of our cats. There was even an unexpected fire alarm while we were away, and she handled it calmly and professionally - we felt so relieved knowing she was there. Her kindness, reliability, and genuine care gave us complete peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets 💛”

“Annabel is an excellent sitter; she hit it off with our cats right away, and took great care of them while we were away for 3 nights. We would have her take care of our cats again!”

“Jessica did an excellent job checking in on my cat while I was out of town. She provided lots of photos and videos of her visits, and went above & beyond to help modify the booking when my plans changed at the last minute. I appreciated all her help and would happily book with Jessica again!”

“So grateful for Leigh. She took excellent care of my senior cat for over a week. Mid-trip, my cat started refusing his medicine. Leigh was confident and able to administer his medication regardless (via oral pill, something I myself I have never had success doing - I usually get him to lick it off a spoon covered in churu). She even stayed past her contracted time to make sure that he would receive his medication. Leigh truly cares for cats. She had a very comforting effect on my Pablo, I could see from photos he looked content and relaxed. Thank you, Leigh!!”

“Emma is amazing! As a new pet owner I appreciate that I can count on her to help and she has also been a great source of tips as we get to know our new puppy. Very grateful I found her.”

“Ursula was very communicative and thorough and sent lots of photos on every check-in! My cat needed to take antibiotics for a UTI, and she was able to pill her with no issue. Would definitely recommend!”

“Aaron has been an amazing sitter for my pets. I have an older lab and he has worked with him on several behavior issues and I see such a dramatic change in my dog! I highly recommend Aaron not only for pet sitting but training as well.”

Maria Helena was amazing! Our cats warmed up quickly to her and she sent us so many amazing photos of our cats while we were away. I’m an anxious parent when away from my cats but this was the least anxious I’ve felt in a while. Really happy to have found such a great person to watch our girls

Nina is absolutely fantastic! Her communication was excellent, and she provided detailed daily updates with pictures. My cat needs special care, and Nina was extremely responsible and paid close attention to detail of the care routine. She went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again!

Kamila was truly the best cat sitter I could’ve asked for. She sent me lots of pictures and details from each visit and went the extra mile to do things to make my cat more comfortable while I was away. I had some plans change unexpectedly and Kamila was extremely accommodating and was able to adjust her schedule to help me out. She was super flexible and kind and I felt much better about leaving my cat knowing she was in such good hands! Would absolutely recommend

Daniela took good care of the cats. Setting up are communications are smooth and easy. Ad hoc requests on unexpected incidents were well taken care of. The house is clean after the sessions. Overall it was a great experience. Will request their help again in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Northfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
