“Priyanka was wonderful with Carlos and Chief! Her communication was great and she provided the best photos of them while I was away - even better than I get sometimes! I would highly recommend Priyanka for your cat-sitting needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my friends and family and love to play, walk, feed or just hang out with them! I used to dog walk every week at a shelter growing up and had fun taking dogs of all size! I am currently in-between jobs so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I can be a sitter in your house if you need someone to feed and play with them or I can take them out on walks. My cat back home is super needy and always needs pets so I’m used to giving lots of love. I always attend to her needs and will do the same with your pets!
About: As a dog owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I have hands-on experience with dogs of different personalities and always take the time to learn each dog’s routine, preferences, and boundaries. I’ve also attended professional dog training classes with my own dog, which has given me a better understanding of canine behavior, safe handling, basic training techniques, and how to stay calm and respond appropriately in unexpected situations. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, energy levels, and bathroom habits. I follow care instructions closely and prioritize safety and clear communication at all times. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, basic training and reinforcement, grooming, and administering medications when needed. I’m patient with shy or cautious dogs and never force interactions before they’re comfortable. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while giving you peace of mind that they’re in responsible hands. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and spend most of my week working from home. My mom is also home throughout the week, so there is almost always someone at home with the pets. I typically go into the office from around 9 AM to 4 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This means pets are rarely left alone for extended periods and can enjoy regular potty breaks, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I also do my best to follow each dog’s usual feeding, walking, and sleeping routine so they can feel comfortable and at home during their stay. I share my home with a friendly neutered male cat and a small neutered male poodle. Both are accustomed to other animals. I provide a clean, comfortable home environment and have separate spaces available when pets need quiet time or a little space of their own. Safety is always my priority. I supervise interactions between pets, follow each owner’s instructions closely, and respect every dog’s individual routine and boundaries. I’m also happy to provide regular photo and message updates throughout their stay.

About: I always take into account the priorities of the pet owner to ensure that I give the best care to their pets. I want to provide the best care for them so I ask detailed questions. That way the pets are getting the best care possible! I am currently in grad school full time and not working, so this will be my only other priority. I can be flexible as long as I have a day's worth of notice I ask detailed questions in order to ensure that I take care of the pets as per the owner's request. That way both of us are on the same page.
“Karollyne follows instructions super well & is genuinely caring for my cats. When it was too cold and I had my window open, she closed it so that my kitties will not catch a cold. It’s the small details that matter! I would definitely book with her again.”
“Irene was a fantastic cat sitter. She was reliable, communicative and very playful with our cat. She even brought her iPad to entertain our cat with cat games. He alap ate his wet food while she was around, which let us know he felt very comfortable and taken care of by her.”

“Nicolle was a wonderful sitter to my cat while I was out on a holiday. She took great care of her while also making sure my home was in a good state for my cat. She is very caring and so loving towards my cat. She played with her, brushed her, petted her. She also made sure all the details were taken care of. Will recommend her and take her services once again :)”

“Deliris is one of the most sweetest, best person I've ever met. She really loves animals, Sasha loves Deliris very much because she was so lovable to Sasha and treated her so amazing, I will definitely use Deliris services again”

“Jade did a great job with drop-in visits for George. “Molly was wonderful. She came and took care of our cat on a last-minute basis for a week. I would absolutely ask her to take care of him again she did a great job.”

“Junhui was excellent with our two cats. She followed all the instructions very carefully and was respectful of the facts that we have extremely shy cats, who aren't trustworthy of everyone. She took care feeding them and making sure everything was comfortable for them in our absence. Definitely recommend her!”

“Joni is just amazing!! Our pup Milo loves Joni. She walks Milo 3 days a week and helps us out in a pinch. We get great updates from her. She’s helped Milo learn how to go on little bike runs with her and tires our little boy out when needed! She’s also so patient with Milo. We love her and recommend her for all your puppy needs :))))”

About: Hi, I’m Aria✨ I’m a JC local who enjoys long walks at the park (with your dog). My love for animals started when I volunteered to dog-walk and help find dogs a home at an SPCA in Charleston, SC for 3 yrs. Since then, I’ve been taking care of my family, friends, and neighbors dogs :) I’ll only confirm a dog-walk and dog sitting shift if I’m working from home and can guarantee I can be present with your fur baby •Affection (dogs love company that make them feel comfortable and loved). I’m always sure to make them feel seen and cared for. It can be tough on them being away from their caregiver. So affection goes a long way. •Making sure they’re fed & hydrated (always attending them according to their usual/specific routine).
About: Hi! My name is Carlize, and I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets since I was 7 years old. I’m a huge dog person and a true animal lover! I would love the opportunity to build that same kind of relationship with your pets, making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m knowledgeable about different dog breeds, personalities, and care needs, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just relaxing with a companion, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. Thank you for considering me to care for your pet! I hope you’ll trust me with your furry family member—I look forward to meeting you both and providing the best care possible. 🐾🤍 Hi! I always make sure pets receive the attention, care, and love they deserve, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule whenever possible. 😊🐾 I don’t currently have any pets of my own, but I regularly care for my friends’ and family’s pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to make sure each pet stays on their normal routine. I make sure they’re well-fed, comfortable, and have everything they need while you’re away. I’m a very active person, so I love keeping pets active too! Whether it’s playing fetch, going on long walks, or simply spending quality time with them, I’m happy to provide plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. 😊🐾

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Newark
Zhiting did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats! I appreciated that she took detailed notes about their respective routines during the meet and greet. She also provided clear, organized rover card updates along with several pictures & videos that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Thank you so much!! We would definitely book with Zhiting again 😊

Another fantastic experience with Thomas! He’s detail oriented, conscientious, and friendly. He spent quality time with our cats, and provided us regular updates about how they were doing. Even our youngest (and most timid) cat is warming up to him. Thanks again Thomas!

Absolute amazing! Super thoughtful in taking care of our cat in our absence😌Sent us tons of photos and videos by our requests to put our minds at ease. She also did great work in cleaning up when our cat makes a mess🥲 Would 100/100 recommend Junhui for our furry friend.

Irene did a great job caring for our cat George! This was our first time booking with her for a 5 day trip. George was comfortable with her and we had no issues. Irene was very communicative, sent lots of pictures and followed all of our instructions. We look forward to booking her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
