About: I recently relocated to Newark from Philadelphia. Growing up, my family always had a dog and a cat. As an adult I’ve fostered several pets, and I have adopted two cats. I’ve housesat and done drop-ins several times for friends with pets, in addition to being a sitter on Rover. I have a standard 9-5 workday and work from home most days. It's a joy to break up the day by spending time with your cat or dog on my lunch break or after work. Whether it's keeping a respectful distance while leaving food and water for a nervous cat, letting your pup take their time exploring on a walk, or making sure your playful pet is entertained, I'll always do my best to meet them where they are while caring for them. I have experience pilling dogs and cats, as well as caring for small wounds or ill pets.

About: If you need a kind, positive dog sitter who loves walking a lot, here I am. My grooming certificate is a big plus in case you need nail trimming or having your dog brushed and dead hair removed. Since I work online, my day is flexible so I can walk with your dog and give your pet more attention. Also, waking up early is never a problem. You need to bring his/her food and favorite snacks. I'll give food that you provide according to your dog's schedule. Also, trying to make your dog feel safe is a must for me. His/her favorite toy would help a lot. So, if you could bring a few, it'd be great. I don't allow dogs on my bed. There is a comfy and soft mat.

“Sam is a responsible and attentive pet caregiver. He is very good with anxious pets (both cats and dogs) and gives updates on how your pets are feeling/behaving if you ask. I had to travel for vacation a while back and had to leave my two cats and my dog home. I was so nervous because one of my cats and my dog have anxiety, and don’t take well to strangers. To my surprise, Sam was so well prepared to take care of them. My other cat has digestive issues, so he made sure that my cat wasn’t just eating the same food as my other cat (usually other pet sitters give both animals the same food from the same bag, even if you tell them)! He took such great care of my three babies! I would hire Sam again If I were still living in the same area! I definitely recommend him to take good care of your babies!”
