About: Dogsitting and dogwalking has been on my resume since I was 11. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, it wasn’t uncommon to take in a four legged family member for the weekend or to spend the weekend hiking and adventuring outdoors with pets. I utilize my rapport and extended background with animals as well as training from being a Girl Scout camp counselor to provide the best experience for all animals. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenty of time to go on adventures with any furry guests and give them my full attention. My home is in safe and scenic Squirrel Hill where proximity to the park is the main highlight of any four legged friend’s stay.

About: I’ve never lived without a dog, so I have life experience playing, feeding, walking, and bathing pups. I helped raise and train my parents’ Golden Retriever puppy during COVID. I’m the go-to sitter for friends’ dogs and have experience with giving oral medication safely. I work full time, but remotely on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays and can easily take a break to take care of your baby. Weekends are fully open, unless out of town. I treat each clients home with professionalism and ensure that I take care not only the pets, but leave no trace of me behind. Your house is your safe space and I will never spoil that for you.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and caring for them has become second nature. Over the years I’ve worked with many rescue dogs, each with their own quirks and challenges. I’m comfortable handling everything from reactive high energy working breeds to easygoing laid back house pets. I currently work at a dog boarding kennel, where I interact with all types of dogs and continue learning every day. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to seniors who need a little extra help getting around. Beyond dogs and cats, I have hands on experience with a variety of exotic and small animals, including rabbits, snakes, birds, and rodents. I’m confident with their unique care needs and know how to handle them safely and calmly. Overall, I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely passionate about animal care. Your pets will be treated like my own, no matter the species. In the morning, animals are always the first priority. Their day starts with fresh food and clean water, followed by plenty of attention and reassurance so they begin the day feeling safe and relaxed. After that comes a good walk or playtime, depending on the pet’s needs, along with cleaning up any messes and making sure their space stays comfortable and tidy. Throughout the day I maintain consistent communication with the owners so they always know how their pets are doing. I monitor behavior, energy levels, appetite, and any changes that may need attention. There is always time set aside for affection, enrichment, and simply being present with the animals so they feel cared for and not alone. In the evening I finish with another round of feeding, walks or play sessions, and a final check to ensure everyone is settled and comfortable for the night. Every day follows this rhythm of structure, patience, and genuine care to make sure each pet feels secure, happy, and well looked after. I will give your pets the same level of attention and care that I give my own. My goal is always to follow your preferences and routine so your pet feels secure and understood. With your guidance/ set rules I will do everything I can to keep your animals comfortable, happy, and well cared for at all times.

About: Growing up with my wonderful family dogs, Britt and Archie, has shaped my love for dogs from a young age. While I was too young to partake in training either of them, they taught me the responsibility of taking care of those other than myself and becoming attuned to the needs of dogs. Walks and playtime are something that we all enjoy, myself sometimes even more than them. I have also been trusted to take care of my family’s and neighbor’s dogs throughout the years, from walks multiple times a day to extended house visits. I have yet to meet a breed of dog I don’t love, from big to small and young to old! I currently work a shift schedule. Therefore, I am available 4 days a week for the entire day, but the days of each week vary. I am willing to do early morning all the way until the evening. I will build trust by being reliable and treating your pet as my own. I will take precautions to keep your pet safe and follow any special instructions.

About: I am an experienced petsitter who has worked in a professional, insured capacity (for Heavy Petting Petsitting) for over a decade. I also have experience working as an Adoptions Counselor at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, where I was trained in the “Fear Free”, positive reinforcement-focused method of animal training and handling. I have an extensive understanding of both canine and feline body language and behavior, and have worked with dogs and cats of all breeds and personality types! I am currently in a remote Master’s program which allows me to arrange my schedule as is convenient to my clients. I do all of my course work from home! I have a household of a dog (cattle dog mix) and two kitties who are all very animal friendly! However, if your fur baby is not a fan of other animals, I am happy to stay at your home and follow your preferences as far as house conduct goes.

About: Before I walk your dog or hang with your cat, there are three things you should know about me. I love being outside, being with animals, and making and performing music. It's incredibly rewarding to me to care for animals. I believe me and your dog or cat share the same curiosity for adventure and I can't wait to get to know them. There's also a good chance that I end up singing some of my music to them. I grew up with pets and have experience in dog and cat sitting for neighbors and friends. When it comes to your pets, my first priority is their safety. I am extremely timely, and adaptable to all sorts of dogs and cats. Consider letting me care for, explore with, and sing to your animals! Currently working part-time, so a lot of availability, especially if you give lots of advance notice! I can be flexible with timing for walks and drop-ins. I don't have space for dogs or cats in my current home, as I'm living with my wife in someone else's area that does not allow pets. But, I'm happy to help take care of your animal in your home by maintaining a safe and clean environment for them, and making sure they are well-fed and exercised.

About: I’m compassionate, I always do my best to control my attitude and remain positive. Which is great for my self, others, and their pets. I’ve owned several different breeds of dogs and raised most of them my self with the help of my parents. I’ve trained dogs (big and small) basic commands (come, sit, stay, lay,etc.) as well as groomed smaller dogs such Maltese and Bishon. I’ve done my own research on how to handle dogs, what emergency signs are and what to do Incase things get serious. I’m currently not working but looking for a job. So I’m almost always free in the morning times after class. All in all I’ve never met a dog that I didn’t get along with & love as my own.

“Joe did fantastic with my GSD Kacie. He came by to walk her everyday that I was on vacation. (my dad was house sitting) Kacie had a medical issue before I left (a UTI) and Joe was able to move his schedule around to accommodate Kacie on a day she wasn’t feeling too hot. He showed concern for her wellbeing and communicated to me when she wasn’t feeling good. Kacie is doing much better now after finishing her meds. Joe also offered to help my dad give Kacie her medicine. He did a great job overall and I will be using him again in the future. Thank you Joe!”
