I’ve helped dogs recover comfortably post-surgery, maintained routines for a 14-year-old diabetic cat, and provided patient, gentle care for anxious or senior animals. When I worked as a Wag! walker eight years ago, I was quickly requested as a regular walker by repeat clients — a reflection of my dependability, calm energy, and genuine love for animals of all kinds. I currently run my own business, which gives me vast flexibility and availability to devote to your pets’ needs. I’m an avid hiker and live right next to Frick Park’s 9-Mile Trail, where I love taking dogs for long walks, fresh air, and a healthy dose of adventure (with your approval, of course!). For pups who prefer a quieter pace, I provide gentle strolls and cozy downtime at home. My home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly — I can easily crate your pup if needed and always follow care instructions closely. My dog was spoiled during his stay!
Valerie is my go-to sitter for my animal family. She takes such good care of my elderly dog Grizz - stroller walks in the park and all. I have total peace of mind when im traveling the Valerie watching over Grizzly, Freya, and Nali. They love their time with her!
Beancurd has such a wonderful time with Valerie and comes home to us calm and relaxed and exhausted from having so much fun. For an anxious dog with separation anxiety it’s amazing for us to know we can leave her is such good hands. Lots of pics and great communication, highly recommended Valerie as a sitter and walker and so does Beancurd!!

Valerie is the best sitter. She was able to help us out of a very bad situation at the last minute. My pet had to be dropped off to her to her by another sitter on super short notice. Luckily she was available and flexible and welcomed him with open arms. I felt so much better knowing he would be in Valerie’s care getting the attention and love he needs. She made what was a very stressful situation for me 1000xs better and I am forever grateful for her. I Highly recommend Valerie. She actually takes pet sitting very seriously and caters to the pets and put their owners at ease.
valerie took great care of my dog while i was on a long weekend trip. very consistent updates and a lot of exercise for my high energy dog. she left my house spotless and i didn’t have a single worry. would recommend!

Schedule
I run my own business, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to devote to your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding throughout the week — including weekends and most evenings. Whether you need consistent care, last-minute help, or an extended stay, I’m happy to accommodate your schedule to make sure your pet always feels cared for and loved.

I live right next to Frick Park’s 9-Mile Trail, which is perfect for safe, scenic walks and outdoor adventures (always with your approval and comfort level in mind). I follow every care instruction closely — from feeding and medications to exercise routines — and I’m experienced in caring for pets with special needs, including post-surgery care and senior or diabetic animals. I prioritize safety and comfort above all else, ensuring every pet in my care feels secure, happy, and right at home.
A typical day
Each day is tailored to your pet’s unique needs and energy level. Mornings often start with a walk or some light playtime to get the day off on the right paw. If your dog enjoys adventure, we’ll explore the beautiful 9-Mile Trail at Frick Park for fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of sniffing opportunities. For pets who prefer a quieter pace, I make sure they get gentle strolls, cuddle time, and lots of one-on-one attention. Throughout the day, I keep routines consistent — feeding, bathroom breaks, and medication schedules are all followed closely. I send regular updates and photos so you can see how relaxed and happy your pet is while you’re away. Evenings are all about winding down — cozy rest time, extra belly rubs, and making sure every furry guest feels safe and loved before bed.
