“Alyssa was wonderfully attentive for the drop-in visits we scheduled to take care of our two cats. All of the instructions were followed precisely and she provided all the photos I requested (worried for a cat who doesn't eat well when we're not at home). She also provided great notes with context of what she observed during her visits. We met for a meet & greet at the house and to go over the care routine, and we were impressed with her pleasant and calm energy which is a must for any caretaker of our anxious cats. She provided not just the requested service but also peace of mind. Thank you Alyssa, we'll definitely be looking to book with you again!! 🙏😸”

“Nilanjana did a great job looking after our two cats. She was reliable, sent us updates, and the cats were happy and well cared for when we got home. This was our first time using Rover and would definitely book again.”

“Ashley did a great job looking after my cats and had no trouble connecting with one of them that is very shy and easily scared by other strangers. She kept me updated at each visit too, which was appreciated.”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life from mastiffs and labs, to a variety of cats, to guinea pigs and frogs. I love working with animals and have a few years experience volunteering at Safe Haven Humane Society with both dogs and cats! I have classes mid-day usually from noon to 4pm so anytime outside of that is sure to work! I can also do those times some days of the week so feel free to check just in case! I am comfortable handling all sizes of dog. I can also trim nails provided you have clippers and your dog has no history of aggression during grooming! I have trained dogs to reduce fear during nail trimmings in the past.
“Vanessa has been amazing for my pup! He is very wary of strangers and they have formed a great relationship quickly due to Vanessa’s patience with him and respecting his boundaries. He loves when she stops by to play with him and let him out! I would highly recommend Vanessa for your Rover needs!”

“Elaina is wonderful! My dog can be a little shy with new people but she took to Elaina immediately at the meet and greet. She sent a detailed report after their walk and some really cute pictures, too :) We will definitely book with her again!”

“Maya was great! First time rover for me and she communicated well and always kept me up to date with pictures of their time together. She even was so kind to leave a nice bag of my dogs favorite treats as well as a whole pack of poop bags as a bonus! It was awesome!”

“Asia was amazing and was incredibly responsive to all the specific needs of my partner and I’s three cats. She left everything very clean and neat and I really appreciated how she took some extra time to play with our cats during her drop in visits.”

About: With experience in senior care and a current dog training course, I am eager to provide exceptional pet care. I have a tendency to entertain pets with lively singing and dancing. As an animal lover, I utilize the skills I've gained through consistent caregiving. I also understand that dogs and cats communicate differently than humans, and it's crucial to understand their form of body language. With that said, I can provide your fur child with a well structured day that will encompass walks, play, redirection, treats and cuddles. My schedule is completely open since I work from home. I love getting up early in the morning to go for walks. In the afternoon enjoy spending a few hours at the park. I will probably get some fresh air in the evenings. This schedule usually works really well with me and the pet owners. I ensure that all pets are treated as beings that carry their own type of individual persona. From the skiddish, to the outgoing, to shy, old, young, and reclusive; I can certainly provide positive reinforcement. Providing your pet with love and some kind of positive impact is the goal for every care session. As far as safety goes I ensure that all pets are harnessed so that I can have full control while your pet is under my care. I am also trained to prevent and dissolve dog altercations. Not to mention I also tend to be the kind of pet caretaker that will lull your pet to sleep at night if they are more on the anxious side. Very nurturing and at times goofy with pets. I definitely regularly partake in pulling dog treats out of my fanny as a form of reward if that is something that is allowed. I am very consistent with any medications that may need to be administered. I am one to consistently send pictures and communicate any sign of illness. I would prefer to give your fur baby the treats provided by you given that dietary restrictions are on a case by case basis.

About: Animals have always been part of my family. From cats and dogs to goats, chicken, and cattle- I've been surrounded by critters my whole life. Because of this, I understand how difficult it can be to work and travel while being unable to bring your furry (or feathered) friends with you. I am currently the mother to two heeler pups who have experienced differing degrees of reactivity making it difficult to find sitters who are knowledgeable and comfortable watching them in my absence. I'd like to be able to provide some respite to other pet parents in my shoes - I have experience with quirky, rowdy, even reactive pets. This experience has shaped skills in patience, communication, and quick thinking so that I can provide the care that keeps your pets safe and satisfied. I am currently working part time, so I have flexibility to do drop in visits and walks on the weekdays with more opportunities for in-home boarding on the weekends. At this time I am open to sitting pets in their own home. I have varying flexibility throughout the week that allows me to perform drop in visits and/or full stays depending on the needs of the client.
“Aiko was a great pet sitter for my cat Scotty! He's very shy, but she sent a picture of her petting him, so I know she must be very good with cats. I would definitely ask her to watch him again.”

About: I’m a responsible individual who’s passionate about caring for pets. I have been working with animals personally and professionally my whole life. I have experience with horses, chickens, donkeys, goats, hamsters, cats, oh and of course dogs. I have dog sat for friends in the past, love to babysit my parents senior pup, and have experience with a variety of different breeds and temperaments. For the last year I have been volunteering at the Corvallis humane society and have completed their training allowing me to work with more difficult dogs. I greatly enjoy walking and playing with the shelter puppies! I am currently in a transitional period in my career and am looking for more full time employment. That means for the time being I have plenty of free time to give you pets all the attention. Due to unfortunate circumstances (my landlord) I am unable to pet sit at my own home. However I will diligently make sure to follow all expectations and guidelines you establish for your furry friends when watch/walk them at your place.
“Emily was great. My cat can be timid and take awhile to warm up to strangers and Emily was extremely patient with her and ended up getting her to come out to play. We came home to a happy, healthy cat. She kept me updated and was very easy to keep in contact with. Will definitely use her again and would recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats all my life. I’ve had a cat who lived for 19 years and moved all over the country with us. When he passed way we got our dog Yogi, a friendly and energetic labradoodle. Yogi and our five year old son basically fill the house with endless energy and love. Your pet will most certainly feel the joy and love from me and our family. Our fenced in back yard is perfect to play in and Yogi loves to play with other dogs! I’m primarily a stay-at-home dad so your pet will have a lot of attention between myself and our lovable labradoodle, who loves his friends. 😊 Your pet can play in our fenced in yard and with our lovable labradoodle Yogi. Plus they will get lots of hugs from my son!
Dry Creek cat parents share their Rover experiences
Amanda took care of our home and cats for multiple weeks while we were out of country; she was attentive during our orientation and made sure to pay attention to each one. Useful since two of them don't get along. When we got home the litter was scooped and messes were swept. Incidental messes like hairballs were cleaned up and reported on during her daily write ups. We had a remote camera set up in the living room (we informed her about) and our check ins always showed us how she took care to ensure our local escape artist was shooed from the door with care and safety in mind. Would definitely hire again.
