Information Jill G. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know the temperament of the dog so I can best suit their needs. I have no breed preference and would love to work with all sorts of dogs.
A typical day
My favorite thing to do is going on walks with dogs. I am a very avid hiker and love to explore nature and what better way to do that than with a dog by my side. I also play on an ultimate frisbee league and would love to throw some far throws for your dog to fetch. When the day is over, cuddling up with a dog and watching a movie is a great way to relax.

Pet care experience
To me, pets are a part of the family. They deserve love, attention, care, and patience. I focus on making sure that your pet feels safe and secure in their home as well as you the owner feel heard, informed and respected. I encourage meet and greets before a stay to ensure that your pet feels safe with me coming into their home. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of animals, including; dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens/ducks, goats, and aquariums. I also used to work as an amphibian biologist so I am familiar with their enclosures and care as well. Throughout my 7 years of experience as a pet sitter, I have worked with a lot of "special needs" pets, including senior animals and reactive animals. I approach these animals with slow, kind care, giving them as much time as they need in order to feel their very best. I have experience with medicine dispersal, eye drops, ointments, and special diets. With reactive animals, I follow the animal's routine to the best of my ability and provide clear communication to the animal that I am there to provide a calming presence. I will take as much time as your animal needs to feel safe in their environment and ensure that they avoid any of their triggers as best as possible. My day to day with your furry friend can vary. I offer 30 minute drop-ins (usually a good option for cat parents) where I will come to your house and spend some time with your pet. For cats, this includes cleaning the litter box, filling food and water, and a little play time or cuddle for your pet. For dogs, this includes letting them out to go potty, filling food and water, and play time and cuddles for them as well. If you want me to take your furry friend on an adventure, I am more than happy to! I offer 30 minute walks (can be extended) and can take them around the block or to one of the many fun parks in the Willamette Valley. I also offer overnight stays with your animals. When I am staying with your animal, I treat them as if they were my own. I am a full-time pet sitter, so my main focus can be on your pets. I will leave to go on errands and such, but for the most part I am at your house with your pets. Overnight stays provide a lot of opportunities for me to learn and get to know your pets. One thing I prioritize first, is understanding your expectations for me and your pet. I want to know what is allowed and what is discouraged for your pet. I also am very experienced at working with commands, place words, and other beginner animal training basics. I want you to feel confident that your pet won't be learning any new habits or forgetting any old ones while you are gone. I am a very active person who loves to be outdoors. I have taken previous clients to the beach, to go snowshoeing, to go swimming and much more. Long walks tend to help with nervous and restless animals. Please let me know if there are any favorite places your pet likes to go! I have grown up my whole life with dogs in the house. I have such a strong love for all animals and take it upon myself to make sure they are treated with kindness, love and respect. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns! I am here to make your life as easy as possible!

Thank you, Jill! Once again you did a great job with Dobie. And thank you for the timely updates and photos.

This is the 3rd dog/house-sitting that Jill has done for Dobie and me. As before, communication was great - a checkin with photos every day. The house was left in great shape. I'm happy to recommend Jill for pet/house sitting jobs and hope she is available next time I need someone to watch Dobie.

This was Jill’s 3rd time with Dobie. She did a great job - she sent pictures and texts, and she left the house nice and clean. I highly recommend her.
Took wonderful care of our cat Suzy. Will try to use her again next time we travel.
