About: I've always grown up around animals, so caring for them has just always been a part of my life. I honestly can't remember a time when we didn't have dogs at home, and over the years I've also helped friends, neighbors, and family members care for their pets whenever they were out of town or needed an extra hand. Being around animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and I love getting to know each pet's unique personality. Some are full of energy and always ready to play, while others are happiest going for a walk or curling up next to you, and I enjoy spending time with all of them. My schedule is pretty flexible outside of classes. I have time throughout the week for walks, drop in visits, and pet sitting, and I love having an excuse to get outside or spend time with animals. I'll always do my best to work around your pet's routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I know trusting someone else with your pet can be a little nerve wracking, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away by sticking as closely as possible to the routine they're used to. Whether that's feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, or simply giving them extra attention, I'm happy to follow whatever works best for them. Your pet's safety and happiness will always be my top priority. Before caring for your pet, I like to learn about their routine, personality, favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can make their experience as comfortable and stress free as possible. I'm also a big believer in communication, so you can expect regular updates and plenty of photos while you're away. I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and doing well. If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your space with the same respect and care that I would my own. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable from the moment we meet.

About: I have a cocker spaniel back home, whom I walked daily. During the winter I walked my neighbors dog 5 times a week for 45 minutes after school. I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.

About: My first pet sitting job was when I was 3 years old, and I loved doing animals of all kinds! I’ve taken care of lots of cats, dogs, and volunteered for a horse therapy program. My family got a puppy when I was in middle school, and I loved doing some basic training and getting to watch him grow up! I’m currently a graduate student working remotely, so I have plenty of time to take care of your beloved pets and give them lots of attention! Outside of occasional meetings, my schedule is very flexible and well suited to pet care. I know hard it can be to leave your pets, so I hope to be as communicative as possible and send as many pictures as you’d like!

About: I am lucky enough to have lived every single day of my life with pets of some variety–dogs, cats, hamsters, and betta fish, primarily. Some were family pets, but most have been my own. I was seven years old when my parents allowed me my first pet of my very own (Fluffernutter, a brown-and-white banded Syrian hamster), and I still remember spending months poring over library books and researching everything I could about hamster care before bringing her home. Currently, I have one cat (Sushi, light of my life), but she’s only an only child because I don’t yet have the financial means to be the maniacal menagerist of my dreams. Meeting and loving and taking care of animals has always been the brightest part of my life; I genuinely cannot imagine a life without them, and I hope I never have to. Although this is my first time formally offering pet-sitting services, I’ve been caring for others’ pets for years, starting around age twelve. I’ve pet-sat for friends and neighbors, taking care of their dogs, cats, horses, and fish. My responsibilities have included everything from feeding and administering medication (when needed) to walks, cleanup, and making sure each pet gets plenty of attention and companionship. While most of my experience is with dogs, cats, horses, and fish, I love animals of all kinds and would be happy to care for most any critter. I spent approximately a year as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSmart, where my primary responsibilities included caring for the store’s fish and reptiles. It was a job I absolutely loved, and I still miss all of the little critters I looked after. I’ve also had a few hamsters over the years, and a close friend of mine had mice, rats, and snakes, all of which I spent a fair amount of time interacting with. Even when I don’t have experience with a specific animal, I always take the time to research their needs and follow all care instructions closely to ensure they’re well looked-after. When it comes to reptiles, I’m comfortable with general care, though I’m not able to provide feeder animals larger than insects. When it comes to dogs specifically, I have the most experience with medium and large pups and am comfortable caring for dogs of most sizes. However, I am not able to sit for any giant breeds. While I love them dearly (and have spent a great deal of time around Newfoundlands in particular), I want to ensure I can safely and confidently handle any situation that may arise. One of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is getting to know each animal as an individual. Every pet has their own personality, preferences, and quirks, and I make it a priority to learn those so I can care for them beyond just the basics. Whether it’s discovering their favorite toy, their ideal walking pace, their go-to nap spot, or how they like to be social (full cuddle mode or quiet companionship), I want your pet to feel understood and comfortable. I also have experience caring for shy and anxious pets. I understand that building trust can take time, patience, and consistency, and I’m more than happy to meet animals at their pace. Even confident pets can feel unsettled when their person is away, so creating a calm, safe, and reassuring environment is always a top priority for me. Above all, I treat every pet in my care the way I treat my own—with attentiveness, respect, and a lot of love. My goal is not just to meet your pet’s physical needs, but to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I know how important that peace of mind is, and I’d love to provide that for you. Whether I’m house-sitting or just stopping by to check on your fur babies, my primary focus is keeping your pets’ routine as consistent as possible to help reduce stress. I follow all care instructions closely, monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health, and ensure their environment remains clean and safe. I’m always conscious and respectful of your home, treating it with the same care and consideration I would my own, and ensuring it’s securely locked when I come and go.

About: I have had family dogs for my whole life, and taken care of dogs since I was very young of all sizes. As I see dogs as family, I always treat them with respect and kindness. I am currently doing online summer classes at the UO and have no other obligations, so I’m free most days of the week to provide quality pet care! When pet sitting for others I make sure to keep your space as close to how you left it as possible, respecting your home as well as your pet.
