“We are so grateful to Amy & Rob for taking such wonderful care of our dog! We felt that they listened to our care instructions and concerns and felt confident throughout our pup's stay. Amy & Rob were attentive, kind, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay - and provided photos of our dog's meds being administered which we appreciated so much. Our dog came back happy and well-cared for, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Cory, Matthew and their daughter were gentle and patient with our little timid dog. They were accommodating in feeding, treats, and bedtime routines to make her comfortable, and even gave her some snuggle time in the morning. They have a great setup in their home and back yard for a dog, and ours came home healthy and happy. We’d gladly ask this family to board our beloved pooch again!”

Ying played with Mr. Ribs and kept him entertained. This was comforting for us as the little guy loves people, so leaving him alone or isolated was not an option. Ying was a great companion for the kitty, and we will definitely use him in the future.”

About: I've taken care of animals for 15+ years. Weather it was my own animal or a friend or families I was always there to give potty breaks and train them on proper care. This will be my full time job so I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry friend. I do have a dog and cat of my own but they are great around other dogs. I live in an apartment in the middle of campus. There is unfortunately no backyard but I ensure that your dog will get many walks and potty breaks and playtime.

“I needed someone to watch my dog while she recovered from an injury and Natasha was a great help. She made sure Melon was leaving her stitches alone while giving her lots of love and attention. I would recommend Natasha to anyone who needs pet care and will definitely ask for her help if we need it again.”

“Caralisa did a great job with my senior kitties while we were away, which included giving meds and keeping up with our Litter Robot! She should get a 10/10 for responsiveness and communication, and went out of her way to get to our meet-and-greet after she was traveling all day. Would definitely recommend for your pets.”

“Caitlin is always fantastic. She communicates really well and our kitty absolutely loves her. She gives great updates at the end of each of her visits and we will continue booking her whenever we can :) highly recommend”

“Justine is amazing! She is very sweet, accommodating, and trustworthy. We were a little worried about finding someone who would be a good fit, since one of our cats is not very friendly, but she reassured us and put our minds at ease. It was so nice not to worry about the cats while we were out of town. We got great updates and adorable photos. We will definitely be rebooking with Justine.”

“She was great throughout the whole process! She came by to introduce herself to the cats, she understood one of our cats were shy while the other one was friendly. She communicated amazing, quick responses. We will be using her in the future as we have lots of softball tournaments coming up!”

About: Even though I don't have a cat of my own, I've spent the last several years watching my sister's, friends', and roommates' cats whenever they've been out of town or needed someone to check in on them. I've always thought cats are funny because every single one has such a different personality, and that's one of my favorite parts about getting to know them! My goal is just to keep them comfortable, stick to their routine, and make sure you can enjoy your time away without worrying!

“Amy did an excellent job with our cats, and was very communicative when issues arose. Our cats were happy and well cared for, and I would happily recommend her to anyone!”

“Amelia did a very good job! We had her come watch my Mom’s 2 cats while we went away for a weekend. She made sure to play with them, give them treats and lots of love. She cleaned the litter box and washed their water bowl for them. We already have her scheduled for our next trip. Thanks Amelia!”

“Amazing sitter. Updates with excellent photos and videos, and brought new toys to play and spend quality time with your pet. I could tell from the photos and videos that my pet was having a really good time, which gives great peace of mind. 10/10”

“Alexis was really great! She was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and genuinely liked spending time with my cats. I have two that are very shy and one that is a love bug, and she gave LOTS of attention to my cuddle kitty and made a huge effort to see and hang out with the shy ones as well. She gave the shy ones the treats I told her they liked and made them comfortable enough that they even came out and got pets a few times. I really couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Andie's first job for us was 15 days housesitting our cat. She did a perfect job and even added fun times for his day. She made sure he ate well and adhered to his dailey schedule. We appreciated coming home to a very well loved kitty and we will have no hesitation at all calling on her again!”

“As always, Abbigail is a wonderful sitter for my pet and I feel very at ease knowing that my cat is well cared for. She keeps me updated with texts and pictures and is always on time for her visits.”

“This was my first time ever using the Rover app and getting a pet sitter for my 3 cats. I was very nervous about leaving the cats at home during our 4 day trip since it would’ve been their first time being alone for a long period of time. However, Kristine was very good with the cats and very reassuring! She followed the instructions I had left, made sure the cats had what they needed, played with them and snuggled them! Of course, she sent photos of the cats during her daily visits and a detailed description of what was done that day. Which was amazing for easing my anxiety about leaving my pets at home. I definitely recommend Kristine for watching your fur babies and I will totally reach out to her when needed in the future! Thanks Again!”

About: I’d begged my parents for a cat for as long as I can remember. When I was 14, I learned that a family in town had a litter of kittens in need of homes. I took my pleading up a notch (or several…), and at long last my parents relented. There was exactly one kitten left; I named him Brand, after a character in my favorite book series, and he became my world. I was solely responsible for every aspect of Brand’s care––the basics, of course, like food, water, and a clean litter box, but also things like researching which brand and type of food would be the best for him, training him to scratch his scratching posts instead of the couch, and brushing him so he wouldn’t get hairballs, to name just a few. I also managed his veterinary care, from routine check-ups and vaccines to monitoring his health day-to-day. If anything ever seemed off in his behavior or litter box habits, I was the one to make the call on whether a vet visit was needed and, if so, how to proceed with his care. From the beginning, it was important to me that I learn how to communicate with Brand on his terms. I took the time to understand cat behavior and body language so I could recognize his boundaries and build trust with him. This turned out to be far more formative for me than I ever anticipated––more than 19 years later, I still catch myself subconsciously using those same quiet, trust-building cues even with other humans. While I learned the basics of cat behavior through research, I didn’t rely on that alone. Brand was an individual, and I paid close attention to his specific preferences, habits, and ways of communicating. As much as I wanted to scoop him up and smother him with affection, I made sure to move at his pace and let him decide when and with what he was comfortable. Learning to understand Brand as an individual shaped the way I approach caring for cats today. My current cat, Sushi, is completely different from Brand. Their personalities, needs, and communication styles are nothing alike, and I had to adjust my approach accordingly. Instead of assuming what would work based on past experience, I took the time to learn Sushi as her own individual. By meeting her where she was and responding to her cues, we were able to build a strong and trusting bond. Getting to know each cat as an individual and interacting with them on their terms is the foundation of how I approach pet care. Some cats are affectionate and love attention, while others prefer quiet companionship or space, and both are equally valid. My goal is always to make sure each cat feels safe, respected, and comfortable by tailoring my care to who they are—not who I expect them to be.

“They made everything so easy and super flexible. I've done rover in the last and I really appreciated Joshua's willingness to work with my schedule and his experience with dogs and my dogs needs. She's more shy and can have sensitivities with her space and he made sure to get to know her a bit to keep her happy. Thank you!”

“Joel & his wife were wonderful. We dropped our old lady blind pup Gouda with them, so we xoukd explore Eugene and areas for the day. They took us at the last minute and gave us great and kind service!”

“Rosa was so helpful in caring for my dog while she recovered from an injury. Melon was so happy to see her when we got to her house so I know she was given tons of love and attention. I would recommend Rosa to anyone!”

About: Hi there! My journey in professional animal care began early, shadowing my mother in her animal behavior and care business. I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of species—including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, cattle, goats, and rabbits—which shaped my understanding of how to meet animals where they are: emotionally, behaviorally, and physically. While I am not a licensed dog trainer, I’ve spent much of my life developing a thoughtful, intuitive approach to animal care. My professional background includes extensive training in wildlife handling and care techniques. During college, I volunteered at the Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene, assisting with the daily care and rehabilitation of birds of prey. Over the years, I’ve also provided pet care for friends and family, building trust through reliability, compassion, and a deep respect for each animal’s unique needs. Now, I’m excited to offer my experience and dedication to the local community. I’m Fear Free Certified for dogs, and while I’m not certified for cats or other animals, I apply many of the same principles across species: 🧘♀️ Creating low-stress environments 🐾 Respecting boundaries and body language 🛏️ Offering comfort, routine, and enrichment 🐕🦺 Using gentle handling and positive reinforcement In 2024, I worked with shelter animals at Greenhill Humane Society, where I received extensive behavioral training and advanced to independently care for dogs and support enrichment for cats. That experience helped me develop a deep understanding of animal behavior, stress signals, and how to build trust with pets from all backgrounds. What I offer: 🐶🐱 Drop-in visits, walks, feeding, litter care & medication support 🧶 Enrichment activities tailored to your pet’s personality 📸 Daily updates with photos and notes 🐾 Experience with seniors, shy pets, and those with special needs Whether your pet is playful, reserved, or somewhere in between, I bring calm energy, reliable care, and a genuine love for animals to every visit. Thank you for considering me — as someone who has also used Rover for my own pets, I know it can be daunting to find the perfect fit for your furbabies. Pet care is a natural part of my daily rhythm. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Whether it’s a midday walk, a drop-in visit, or extended overnight care, I’m able to adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs without the constraints of a traditional 9–5 job. Because I’m home-based, I can offer: 🐕 Timely potty breaks and walks 🐈 Calm, low-stress drop-ins for cats and small pets 🐾 Flexible scheduling for last-minute requests Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or more involved care, I’m able to integrate it seamlessly into my day, ensuring they get the attention and comfort they deserve. I currently do not offer in-home boarding, but I provide personalized care in your pet’s own home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. Whether it's a quick drop-in, a longer visit, or multiple check-ins throughout the day, I tailor each session to your pet’s routine and emotional needs. Because I work from home, my schedule is flexible—I can accommodate midday visits, early mornings, or evening care depending on your pet’s habits. I focus on creating a calm, low-stress experience by respecting their space, reading their body language, and offering enrichment that suits their personality. Your pet gets: 🐾 Familiar surroundings and routines 🧘♀️ Low-stress care with gentle handling 🐕 Walks, playtime, feeding & medication support 📸 Updates so you stay connected I treat every visit as a chance to build trust and make your pet’s day better. Whether they’re playful, shy, or need extra patience, I’m here to meet them where they are.

“Valerie is so kind! So amazing! She was very attentive and sent photos throughout the day to keep me updated. As well as taking care of her just as well as I would if not better! I will definitely be using her again!”

“I’ve never been more pleased with a Rover booking! She ensured that both I and my pup, June felt comfortable and safe. Cierra even dealt with an upset tummy my pup unexpectedly had. Would recommend to anyone!!”

“Angie has a great setup for dogs and was good with update texts and photos. Our rescue Goose hasn't been boarded since we got her so Angie suggested a trial daycare before a week long vacation. Goose came home from that happy and we feel good about longer stays here knowing Goose will be comfortable and cared for.”

“My dogs were happy and healthy every time I picked them up, which is the most important factor. Diane was communicative, friendly, flexible, and accommodating. I appreciated her going out of her way to treat me and my dogs well.”

“Ruthie was excellent with my pup. Sent lots of photos, provided top notch care, and made sure he got a mix of inside & outside time. I would definitely let Ruthie watch my boy again!”

About: I worked in Veterinary medicine as a CVT for 15 years. I’m now in real estate so I have the experience but am able to work from home and spend hours with animals that need special care & medications (whether orally, injectable or topically). I am comfortable with most farm animals as well. My rates are based off of pets that need that extra care/ medications etc. Depending on their needs (or ease of care) my rates can be flexible! Just ask and we can discuss your/your pets needs to figure it out I am available for walks or drop ins most days but for boarding (my house or yours), I am available Wednesdays and Thursdays and every other weekend. Because I can work from home your animals don’t have to be lonely while you’re away! I am active, healthy and smoke free. I love walking dogs, running them at the park, playing chase or tug a war or whatever shenanigans your pet loves. I’ve raised goats, chickens and pigs and have some experience with cows and horses. I have helped with reptiles and birds too.. As having worked in day practice and emergency medicine I have a wide knowledge and experiences with various medical needs, diseases and behaviors. I pay close attention to body language and want to make your time away as stress free and reassured as possible. I am happy to help with house needs during the stay as well such as watering plants, getting the mail, taking out the trash, etc.

“Jen and Josh are wonderful to work with - dog lovers, very knowledgeable about dogs and dog behavior. They have an excellent set-up for a fun, safe "day camp" for dogs with different natures - active, chill, aloof, garrulous! Our little tugger is a playing machine, and initially presents as intense, so I wasn't sure if he'd fit in. Before taking us on, Jen and Josh met with us in person at their location, and on day 1, I felt that they were observing him carefully, based on Jen's updates. When visit #2 rolled around, as soon as we got to the front entrance where Jen was waiting, I became non-existent and the tugger embarked on a great day! I'm truly grateful to have found this setting- the tugger benefits greatly from the socializing and activity, and it happens in a secure place with attentive and caring humans!”

About: I am an experienced pet sitter and a true animal lover :) I have provided caring and compassionate pet care for the cats and dogs of my friends, family members and neighbors for several years. Previously, I have worked for a dog-walking agency and have received formal First Aid training in pet care. My work schedule varies day to day, which means our schedule will depend on the day and the service being provided. When I am working from home, I am able to provide frequent potty breaks, tons of play time and scheduled feedings as requested by the humans! If you and pup are interested in long walks and/or outside time, we will make it happen! If your dog is more chill and laid-back, I can provide attentive and gentle care, and relaxation time. I am happy to crate your puppy/dog if requested. For cat owners, I am very cautious moving in and out of an individual’s home - I know from experience that sometimes they try to sneak out the door to explore! I believe a primary component of building trust with a client is consistent communication, so I prioritize keeping owners updated with photos and check-ins throughout the day.
“Ying is absolutely fantastic! He took great care of our dog, making sure he had lots of exercise and affection and treats! He sent lots of videos and pictures during the day so we knew he was in good hands. We are very picky about who we trust with our dog and Ying is top notch! We have already booked another day with him. Thank you, Ying!”

About: As a pre-veterinary student, I provide more than just pet sitting—I bring knowledge, patience, and a genuine passion for animal care. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals through both personal ownership and animal care work. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll provide attentive, reliable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. I'm currently home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Aside from occasional appointments and errands, I'm home throughout the day. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, as I have pets of my own with established care schedules. Adding your pet into that routine allows me to provide consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I always work to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, medical needs, and any household rules so I can provide care that's both safe and consistent. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise interactions. I carefully introduce new situations at each pet's comfort level and never leave animals in unsafe situations. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the home and the animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests exactly as directed. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a pre-veterinary student, I'm attentive to changes in an animal's behavior or health and won't hesitate to contact you—and, if necessary, seek veterinary care—if I have concerns.
“I felt so comfortable leaving Charley with Ginger and the handful of other little dogs (especially Frankie!) Charley is shy and Ginger so understood this. This understanding will undoubtedly lead to Charley fitting right in with the pack and I have a feeling that at some point soon, Charley will want to trade me in for Ginger! Thank you so much!”

“Jourdan was great with our Luna, who is very anxious and can be quite weird around new people. I felt very comfortable leaving her with Jourdan for the day, and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Natasha handled my 100lb female Ridgeback with Care and Class. She is obviously a natural dog person, and connected with my dog in a way that immediately gained my trust, and the trust of my Ridgeback . I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a reliable, positive, and fun experience for their dog. Natasha is a superb Dog Walker, and I will book with her again and again.”

“Nicole was absolutely perfect with Mellow today! He is dog reactive and has stranger danger so has a few complicated things to work though, but Nicole was fab and took the time to build his trust step by step. He was taking treats and leaning in for cuddles in no time. Nicole really understands his body language and need for space while out on walks as we work through his reactivity. We can't wait for our next visit:) thank you!”

“When we lost our dog sitter I was devastated and nervous we wouldn't find another great fit. However, we feel so lucky to have found Sarah! She is so carrying, understanding, and just amazing with our high energy 1 year old dog. She truly understands that dogs come with their own unique quirks and does a great job at letting our boy know whose the boss. She listens to what your training goals are and helps you achieve it through consistency. Thank you so much Sarah!!!!”

“Erin is wonderful, she goes above and beyond and I know my boys are in great hands whenever she walks them. I’m so thankful I found someone I can trust my dogs with that takes such good care of them!”

I work from home managing social media for a local bakery in Portland, I make my own schedule. I also have practice from 6:25-8:25 daily. My dog used to bark at other dogs on walks, using a reward system I’ve trained her to stop and wait quietly when dogs pass.

I have a very calm demeanor and, more than simply walking and feeding, love to spend time playing and getting to know your pets individual personalities! Quality care and safety of your pet is of the utmost importance for me and I will do everything in my power to ensure that your family member has the best stay-cation possible! :) I'm a student and work! I am home often, and more or less make my own schedule so can often shift things and fit my schedule around the needs of you/your pet! I live in a third floor walk up, with a balcony. Dogs always have supervised balcony time (or can be not let on to the balcony if there are concerns!). I am always attentive of your pet, and any shifts in behavior that seem strange will be monitored and reported to you if necessary! I am always mindful of how other dogs are interacting with others and of the environment in order to ensure your pet is safe, and you are stress and worry free, during their stay!
“Hayden was amazing with our dogs. One is a very big and crazy 1 yr old that can sometimes be a lot to handle and she did it with ease. We will definitely be using Hayden again!”

About: I have 6+ years of animal rescue work experience and I have raised 2 dogs of my own. This includes training puppies, supplying medications and assistance to pets with medical issues, caring for cats, and everything in between! I’ve been a house/dog/cat sitter for family, friends, and friends of friends for well over a decade. I have been through formal dog training classes and I would be happy to supply references from prior clients upon request. I work remotely 4 days a week, and in office on Tuesdays. For housesitting, your pet must be okay to be at home alone between 4-6 hours. If your pet needs constant care (meaning they cannot be home alone for at least 4 hours) please let me know and we can discuss options. Beyond that, I would be happy to discuss your pet’s specific needs during a meet and greet to make sure they get all the love and attention they need. I have worked with many types of dogs and cats, so I can accommodate a wide variety of needs. Does your dog need help with training? I’d be happy to work with them while walking/sitting/etc! Is your pet skittish or perhaps they come on a little strong? I have met and worked with 100’s of different rescue dogs who come from all kinds of backgrounds. I love and care for pets of all kinds and am ready to work with you and your animal to find a comfortable, positive routine for when you have to be away!
“Maddie was super flexible and took my dog, sage on a very long walk. I could tell sage was comfortable with Maddie and she got a lot of energy out on their walk. Maddie arrived on time and was prepared, would book again in the future!”

“Cory, Matthew and their daughter were gentle and patient with our little timid dog. They were accommodating in feeding, treats, and bedtime routines to make her comfortable, and even gave her some snuggle time in the morning. About: I've taken care of animals for 15+ years. Weather it was my own animal or a friend or families I was always there to give potty breaks and train them on proper care. I also train dogs and have many years of experience training dogs to do various commands such as sit, down, roll over, and crate training.
