My work is currently focusing on pet sitting so I can devote lots of time to caring for your babies. I try to accommodate the pet’s schedule the best I can and prioritize the needs of active overnight clients. I won’t leave pets alone during overnights longer than 4 hours MAX or whatever their schedule is as they are priority! Most of my days are pretty lowkey and I only have visits for a couple hours a day/at a time.

I will meet with you first to get a feel for your animals and what your needs are and allow your pets to get to know me so they feel more comfortable when I come in the future. I will follow any specific schedules and expectations as needed but most importantly provide a loving and patient presence for your animals! I’m good at reading animal behavior and taking things at the animal’s pace and have had great luck with shy cats and dogs warming up quickly.

I have no breed preferences or restrictions just as long as I can physically handle them if we are going on walks (a lot of strong pulling or longer walks can trigger my chronic pain so please be open about this ahead of time). I'm always willing to work with dogs who might be a challenge but knowing about any difficulties or sensitivities ahead of time is important for me to help your animal feel comfortable
A typical day
I like to go on walks with lots of sniffing for stimulation while also having a space where animals can be unleashed and be themselves, whether that be in their own home or outside. I also like to learn your pet’s personality and play style and boundaries on cuddles and affection

Pet care experience
I will be taking a break from all pet services starting June 23rd for 3-6 months for a major surgery. I will be working as much as possible until then and returning once I’m feeling better and stronger! I’ve been pet sitting in the area on and off since I was old enough to work and moved to part time pet sitting/dog walking and overnights as my only job about a year ago. I also volunteered at greenhill in high school and walked or played with many different types of dogs! My large dog is reactive so I have a lot of experience with sensitive animals. I am patient and understanding of animal’s cues and boundaries so your pet can feel more comfortable but I am also big on giving lots of love because I truly love my job and the pets I get to work with! I have experience with elderly pets and puppies as well

Julia is a fantastic sitter! This is the second time I’ve worked with her but this was the first time she’s stayed overnight and it was a holiday! She’s so reliable, cares about your dogs and gives good updates and lots of pictures! She’s also very good at giving meds to a sometimes difficult dog and when my dog got an upset stomach, she communicated with me right away. I felt very comfortable leaving my babies with her!! We will definitely be working with Julia again!
Julia was so kind, accommodating and amazing with our dogs! I have one reactive dog who is nervous around new people, and Julia was so patient with her it made drop ins very easy. Julia also took my puppy to daycare and was very flexible when my travel plans changed last minute and when my puppy needed to be picked up from daycare early. I highly recommend her to anyone with big dogs or reactive dogs or dogs in general. She’s gonna be pet sitting for us soon again and I have full confidence in leaving my dogs with her!!!
Julia was so great with our pups and we came home to very happy and well cared for dogs. We have one who is newly adopted and we were leaving him with a sitter for the first time so were unsure how he would do and one who is just an overall anxious girl who likes to hunger strike when she is out of her routine and Julia was wonderful and patient with both of them to make sure they were comfortable and got what they needed. It felt so nice to not have to worry about the pups while we were away. Thank you Julia!!
Julia did an amazing job with our cats as always. The cats have really warmed up to her and we trust her with our cats.
