Bradley and Greta LOVE Jared. We hired him to give them a mid-day break/walk while we were unavailable and he gave them so much more than we were hoping for! He not only took them on a 30+ walk around Green Lake, but he also took them to the dog park to ensure our pups were nice and tired before returning them home. Even though it was only a walk, he gave updates about his arrival/departure times, what they were doing, and how the dogs were. Our dogs were super happy and exhausted when we returned, so we know they're looking forward to seeing Jared again. We plan to use Jared for both our dog walking and house sitting needs in the future. He's our favorite sitter so far!

I have a 63lb gentle dog who is cautious with new people. Aileen was referred to me by someone in my neighborhood. My first impressions of Aileen was her dedication to her existing clients, her professionalism and sweet nature toward my dog. She was also very accommodating and did/does her best to fit our needs. My dogs ultimate display of comfort and excitement to see someone is her happy growls which I’ve seen her do when Aileen arrives. As much as I love having Aileen my dog does too. I’ve hired Aileen many times now and wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.

I can always count on Melissa to not just to walk my large doggies safely, but to have the patience to deal with their quirkiness. My dog likes to play ‘catch-me if you can’ before his walks and Melissa is super patient with him. This can be super annoying when you are in a hurry so I really appreciate her so much for not giving up on him. Thank you and sorry!

About: In 2012 I got my little Yorkie Paisley from a place called Puppy Town. Over the years me and Paisley has grown close and she has become my best friend. Within a few days, I had housebroken her, at first she didn’t know how to walk on a leash, but was practice and patience, she became a master of walking on a leash to the point that she enjoys walking. Although Paisley does not enjoy baths, I do give baths and it brings me joy to see her fresh and clean I have to brush her every day to maintain that beautiful golden coat. I’m afraid to clip her nails so I will take her to Banfield hospital to get her nails clipped. Over the years Paisley became older, and her eye sight has declined, so every morning I have to take the time to take her to her food. She knows where the bathroom is at, but sometimes she’ll have accidents and I have to be patient with her and I have to clean up her accidents and I have to keep an eye on her at all times to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself. Her food and water is still in the same place however, I had to rearrange some furniture and things to make it easier for her to get around… Every summer, I will purchase flea and tick protection, cause I can’t have no pests bothering my baby! Paisley is my best friend and even though she can’t see me anymore, she can sense when I’m there and still wants to cuddle up under me. I’m a landscape photographer, so I do do work in the golden hours however, I’ll be available to watch your best friend Monday through Friday in the early mornings 6am -5pm and also I can watch your furry friend in the evenings 7pm - 12am Weekends 6am - 5pm. Was Paisley I get up sometimes she sleeps but if she is up, she will automatically go to the bathroom when she’s done in the bathroom. I will take her to her bowls. I will feed her while she’s eating. I will clean up what it’s called a wee wee pad I live in an apartment and my room is pet friendly so your fur baby will have toys and also they will have water as well, in the kitchen is where I have their food so they will have access to food and water in the kitchen. Also, I live by a local park so your fur baby will never have to worry about being bored because I will take on walks to the park. Your fur baby will never be bored with me. We will go to the park, play with toys ,and I believe fur babies should always be indoors with a watchful eye.

About: Hi, I’m Derick! I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have been actively helping care for pets through our family’s pet care business. I assist with daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering medications when needed, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and safe in our home. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to get to know each pet and provide individualized care. Because there is almost always someone home, dogs receive plenty of supervision, companionship, exercise, and affection throughout the day. I love spending time outdoors, going on walks, playing fetch, and helping pets feel relaxed and at home while their families are away. My goal is simple: to treat every dog like they’re part of the family and give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry friend is safe, happy, and well cared for. One thing that makes our home special is that someone is almost always home. I’m home full-time this summer, both of my parents are retired, and even my youngest sibling is 15 and home for the summer. Whether it’s me or one of my family members, your pup will always have company, love, and attentive care. 🏠🐾❤️ Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities. Someone is always home, whether it’s me or one of my family members, so your pup will never be left unattended. We constantly supervise the dogs during playtime, potty breaks, meals, and rest time. Our yard is fully fenced, giving them a safe and secure space to enjoy while still being closely watched. :)

About: I began dog sitting a couple of years ago for the families I babysat for. When they would go out of town I would bring my furry friends home with me. I’ve always enjoyed taking them to the nearby parks and beaches around me. When they stay with me they are taken care for and treated like family. I work full time but I’m free on the weekends and occasionally on Fridays. My availability is mainly on the weekends since I am home. When I bring them home with me I like to have their bed and food set up in my living room. I have a back yard where they can hang out as well. I like to keep them in their routine and walk them frequently so they’re not inside all day. I try to do the same even if they stay in their home. I will check in as often as I can and will take them on longer walks when they stay in their home since I am not there the whole day as I would be in my own home.

We are so glad we came across Su! Before booking her services, we did a meet-and-greet, and Obi liked her from day one. Not only Obi, but all of our fur babies at home warmed up to her immediately. Su followed all of our instructions carefully, and what I appreciated most were the photo updates and regular check-ins while we were away. We are beyond happy with her service and truly can’t say enough great things about her. I was a little skeptical at first about trying the app, but I’m so glad I did. My 5 year old doodle has been walking with Jailene for over a week now. We decided our pup needed more midday exercise than we could provide, so Jailene swooped right in to come on time everyday: friendly, confident, professional, and no frills. My dog even looks cool walking with her! They get an uphill mile in each weekday for 30 mins and our pup comes back worked, happy, and relaxed. It's been very easy to communicate with Jailene and we trust that our dog is in good hands.

It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Delta. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
