“Chelsea was amazing! On time, and followed instructions incredibly well and extremely considerate. Chelsea was so sweet to our little fluff Penny and very thoughtful through the entire experience. This was the first time we used Chelsea and definitely will not be the last. A true gem and Penny absolutely loved her.”

“Audrey was absolutely wonderful with Layton and we could not have asked for a better experience. She picked Layton up from our rental each day for 2-hour adventure daycare outings and made every day special—whether it was a new beach park, a different avenue to explore, or ending the adventure with a stop at a bakery for a treat. Audrey was always on time, incredibly reliable, and consistently took Layton out for the full two hours (often a bit longer). The care and thought she put into each outing really stood out. Layton can have some separation anxiety, and after just the first day she was already waiting by the door for Audrey to arrive—something that speaks volumes about the bond they formed and the trust Layton had in her. We felt completely at ease knowing Layton was in such capable, attentive, and loving hands. I would highly recommend Audrey to anyone looking for someone who truly goes above and beyond for their dog.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have experience caring for all kinds of pets — including dogs 🐕, cats 🐈, hamsters 🐹, turtles 🐢, fish 🐠, and more. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. This is why I prioritize timely updates, plenty of photos, and sticking closely to each pet’s unique routine and needs. I work from home full time, so your pet will always be well supervised and taken care of. My home is designed to be a safe, welcoming space for pets of all personalities and energy levels, and I also have a separate detached studio space available for those who may need their own quiet area or separation from my own pets. I’m happy to accommodate feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, training reinforcement, or any specific care instructions that help your pet feel right at home. I have one dog and two cats that get along well with other pets - a Russell Terrier mix puppy named Annie, and two rescue cats named Remey & Erney. I’m familiar with puppy energy, training, routines, and the patience that comes with helping dogs learn and as well as understand how important it is to create a calm, safe environment and let animals build trust at their own pace. Because I work from home full time, I’m able to provide pets with lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Caring for animals fits naturally into my routine, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddle breaks, or whatever else they might need! I’m thoughtful, reliable, and attentive when caring for pets, and I always want both pets and owners to feel comfortable and at ease. I’m also extremely organized, clean, and respectful of other people’s homes. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space the same way I treat my own and make sure everything is left exactly as you left it. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for pet and complete peace of mind. You can also expect regular updates, photos, and open communication so you always know how your pet is doing.
“This was my first experience with Julia and it was a good one! She was very attentive, communicative, and kind. She treated my baby like her own. I have already booked her for my next trip.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors, friends, and family for around 4 years. I have experience in small, big, younger, and older dogs. This includes stopping in to let the dogs out, take on walks, feed them, and keep them company! Right now, I am a hostess at a restaurant so my hours aren’t too long. I typically work a few hours in the evening, but still have a flexible schedule so just reach out for any questions! I will make sure to give your dogs plenty of play time inside and outside and give them any treats that are permitted ☺️. Before and after drop ins, I will check food & water level and make sure there were not any accidents in the house.
“Great communication and following requests! My gated neighborhood, finding my unit stumps 90% of deliveries. And coopers not the best with new people especially if I’m not around. She was a champ at all three! 10/10 would recommend and will use again!”

“Kelly was just perfect. Our dogs really took to her and she spent so much time caring for them on their walks. We got picture updates which made us feel great while traveling and she was always on time and generous with her time. We would always use her!!”

About: Hi! I’ve ALWAYS been an animal person and loved looking for ways to help families with their pets while getting to do something that I loved! I started walking neighbors dogs and taking care of their cats before I could drive, and have since expanded my services. I love that over the years l have built lasting relationships with families, and they get to have someone they trust to take care of their pets while they work or take vacations! I currently work 3 days a week with a very flexible/ and rotating schedule so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets! I care for pets by making sure they feel safe and comfortable, especially if I’m a new face! I love to bring dogs on walks and give them mental stimulation through different activities like sniff mats
About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since i was 10. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I’ve always been the one to stay behind on vacations to guarantee everyone’s babies are taken care of. And i love doing so. I am available anytime before 1pm on weekdays as of right now. On the weekends anytime after 3pm. I am available all day wednesday and thursdays. When I care for pets in a client's home, I make sure to stick to their usual routine as much as possible. This means feeding them at their regular times, giving them their medications if needed, and keeping up with their walking and playtime schedules. I also focus on providing plenty of affection and attention, so they feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away. Plus, I keep the home tidy, clean up any pet messes, and send updates as you want and need. And also a daily photo collage at the end of the night to the owners for peace of mind.
About: I have experience with elderly pups/dogsitting. I grew up with a pug, pekingese, french bulldog, and a cat. I grew up watching neighbor's pets and now we have two male bonded kitties of our own who turned out very sweet! We both work remotely/hybrid and have time for all the cuddles! Even if it's just a daily visit needed, we can make time for that as well. We have a quiet and safe apartment with a few bedrooms, we do own two friendly/sweet young male cats, both neutered and up to date on vaccines .

“Paula is fantastic. She is enthusiastic, responsible, punctual, and great with dogs. Harry just adores her. My dog is very athletic and she gives him a great walk and I know that he has been thoroughly exercises. I feel very grateful to have found her on rover.com”

About: I've always adored animals ever since I was little. Growing up I was surrounded by not only cats and dogs but I also had a bird and chinchilla. From a young age, I was taught the correct ways to care for animals; now I have two dogs of my own. I have experience with watching multiple animals at the same time while providing different care for each animal individually based on what they need. I understand firsthand how important it is to feel comfortable and safe when trusting someone with your animals and I promise that I will provide the best care. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. While I am currently a student and work part-time, I carefully manage my schedule to ensure I can provide dependable, attentive care. I am committed to being upfront about my availability and only accepting bookings that allow me to give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. If my schedule aligns with your needs and it’s a good fit for both of us, I would love the opportunity to care for your pet! I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. I pay close attention to each pet’s well-being and tailor my care to their individual needs, personality, and energy level to ensure they are happy and comfortable. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your beloved family member. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care and give owners peace of mind while they’re away.
“Kayla was amazing with Milo while we were away for the week over Christmas. She kept us updated, made him feel comfortable, and we could tell he was really well cared for. She even bought him a toy, which was so sweet. We highly recommend her!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
