“Jenni is great. She has helped us get our high energy dog out for walks while we are at work. She is patient with our little pup, and he always seems happy on days they walk. She always takes great pictures of our dog, and is very communicative about what is going on with our dog. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Corinne is awesome! From the first meet and greet, she was eager to learn how to care for both of my labs, even down to how their harnesses fit. She was flexible with a schedule change at the last minute and provided excellent company for my dogs on a walk while I was out of town. Her knowledge, care and attention to detail is unmatched. I look forward to continue booking with Corinne!”

“My doggie loved going on a run/walk with Clarissa. I have also noticed a bit of improvement when I walk my dog Hachiko, he isn't pulling as hard on the leash and is much calmer. Clarissa has shown up for every scheduled walk and gone above and beyond the 30 minute walk time and also has been going a good distance when jogging or running with my pup. Which is excellent for him because he is an energetic one-year old dog! I can't thank you enough.”

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs, two dogs and 4 cats over my lifetime. Both outdoor indoor pets and I am very active with them. Pets need love and support from us as much as we need it from them. I spent three years volunteering at the Oregon zoo working with animals. I am flexible and creative, easily adapting to pet's needs. I am also patient and calm with them. I have loved animals since I was a kid. I refused to hit a piñata at a party because it was animal shaped. I will love your pets as if they are my own. I am always happiest when I am around pets. I work from home on a salaried basis, so my schedule is flexible. Especially from early morning until 3pm. I can do quick drop ins and/or long stays if they need a little interaction. I pay attention to location of plants, making sure they are out of reach and not a hazard to pets. I make sure all toys left out are safe, not too small to chock on. Making sure toys don't have anything to tangle up with. I'll watch to make sure pets don't eat too fast and get sick.

About: I've had dogs of my own for my whole life so they have always been a big part of who I am. I currently have two dogs of my own, but have plenty of love left to share with your dogs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve spent two years and over 150 hours volunteering at a dog and cat rescue. I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments by walking, feeding, bathing, training, and administering medications. In addition to dogs, I’ve previously been a pet parent to horses, cats, and bunnies. I currently volunteer at an equine rescue. I used rover as a sitter very briefly in 2017 when I lived in Florida, so I have some old reviews from my previous time on Rover. I am re-establishing my profile and am excited to get to know some wonderful pups and pup parents in Portland. As a pet parent, I know how stressful it is to leave your treasured family member in someone else’s care. That’s why I make sure to text my Rover families plenty of pictures and updates. I want you to feel confident that your pet is safe and happy so you can enjoy your time away with less stress. I’m also happy to support any training goals you are currently working on. I work a full time job in healthcare quality assurance, but have flexible work hours and a hybrid schedule. I’ll be able to accommodate recurring weekly walks or drop-ins as well as one-time bookings. I’m excited to offer dog walking and drop-in visits. During walks I will ensure your dog remains leashed with the collar and leash set up of your choice. If you’re working on loose leash walking, I can support that training on my walks with your pups. I’ll ensure your pet has food, water, medication (as needed), and will let you know immediately if I see any health or safety concerns.

“She was able to take a last minute appointment and sent lots of cute pics. My guy is a bit mouthy so while she had to shorten his walk it was only a few minutes and I appreciate that she brought him home instead of pushing through. He is just a puppy and can get overtired.”

“Jessica is great with Riley. He is a very energetic dog and she has given me some good ideas on how to refocus him. It’s obvious that she loves dogs. I feel very fortunate to have found Jessica.”

“Hannah is fantastic. Low-key loves and her loves her. Excuse me one thing though Loki is an English cream golden retriever. I’m not sure whether it was pilot error on my part when I put in what type of doggie is or not, but if it can be changed. It should be changed to an English cream, golden retriever”

“Amir was wonderful with my pup! He was very communicative and flexible. He also sent me a lot of pictures and I really appreciate that.I will definitely be requesting his services again.”

About: Rescued two outside cats before and have formed bonds with usually shy dogs/cats. Don’t have much experience with training animals, but will make sure they have enough exercise when needed! Working very low part time as a cook, but love working with animals. This is a great way for me to build my experience in this area. Making sure the water is filled and they are fed on time. I try to take my roommates dog outside when I can, but hot weather doesn’t allow that too much right now

About: I have had pets all my life. Most recently I have been helping friends and family take care of their pets when needed. I would love to extend my care to others as I know pets are like family and having a reliable loving home when the time is needed can be hard to find. I am a stay at home mom and I spend most of my time at home. I have a really flexible schedule and can provide care on most days. I have a partially fenced yard on 20 acres, providing plenty of space for dogs to explore. I have one fur baby—a friendly 2-year-old labradoodle who gets along well with other dogs, so your pup will have a playmate. I also have four children, ages 5 to 12, so if your dog isn’t comfortable around kids, my home may not be the best fit.

David G.
“I have known David for the past 30 years, as he and his family are my next door neighbors. David and his family have had pets, both dog and cats, as long as I have known them. I think I remember that at one time he also worked or volunteered at the Metro Zoo. He is always friendly and enjoyable to talk with. I have trusted David to be in my house to care for my cats feeding and litter box cleaning while my wife and I are out of town. He even goes so far as to spend time socializing and playing with them during his daily visits. I will always consider reaching out to David first to watch my pets, and highly recommend him as a qualified and trusted pet caregiver to anyone.”
