About: I’ve always had pets growing up and I have been watching other people's pets for roughly 6 years. I have watched pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes ranging from big to small dogs, elder cats, and kittens. I have cared for pets with all different needs and will care for your pet no matter how "interesting" their routines are! I am a full-time college student with a pretty open class schedule. I am able to watch your pets easily in the mornings and afternoons/evenings and can occasionally do so during the day on weekdays! I understand that every pet has different needs and am willing to accommodate for whatever they need. In the past, I have had many different dogs with different needs and have learned how to care for all different kinds of dogs. I have also worked with many elder cats that need specific medications or routines and have learned how to care for them in their own specific ways.
“We hired Virginia to pet-sit on our hobby farm. We have two large dogs, a feisty cat, three horses, two donkeys, 11 chickens, and bees. Though the horses donkeys and chickens can tend to themselves on a short trip she did watch out for them and gave us updates on the horses and donkeys in the pasture and the chickens. She took time every day to let the chickens out and put them away. All three of our pets requires special attention when it comes to food, including medicine. She was able to take care of all of their needs while we were gone. She is thoughtful and kind. She is thorough and very attentive to updating the client. About: I have always had dogs in my life. My parents chose our first dog, a blue healer, after their honeymoon. I was three. Skeeter and I would tromp through the woods often. We moved to the Middle East when I was 9, and we had to give her to another family, but when we returned, we were contacted by the family: they were moving and wondered if we would like her back. It was a very happy reunion. She passed away when I was 18. In my third year of college, I decided to get a dog of my own. It was a dumb idea because I didn't have the forethought to think about how being a dogowner would limit my housing options over the next 10 years. Baloo was a German shepherd mix. He was a rescue from a Native American reservation in AZ, what we call a "res dog". He and I had several adventures over the decade I could call him mine. He passed away a little over two years ago, and I still miss him now. These days, I am mom to Benedict and Tigerlily. Benny is a sweet old rescue from California. He is likely part pitbull, and part sharpei. He's a sweetheart, super chill with my kids, and loves to walk the trails behind my house. Tigerlily Is a baby baby. The two of them are inseparable. I work from home and have my kids 3-5 nights / week. We love all the dogs and love to take them on walks through the woods and to the park. I provide a chill space where dogs feel like they can relax and trust that someone will come along soon to scritch their ears. I have a great neighborhood for walking and a large unfenced backyard.
About: My family had labradors from the time I was an infant. All of ours were raised as puppies, well behaved and successfully potty trained. I also had a French bulldog raised from a puppy as an adult. In recent years I have learned love cats through my wife, and we now have 4 lovely adult indoor cats who we rescued all as kittens. Kailyn did an incredible job caring for our dog and two elderly cats overnight while we were out of town for several days. She didn't just do the basics of feeding and potty breaks; she spent time with the pets, communicated regularly, sent photo updates, and I swear the house and the animals were cleaner when we got home than when we left. She even befriended our antisocial tabby by the end of her stay! I was so grateful to know my pets were in great hands while I was far away and would absolutely have Kailyn back again.
