“Donna & Britton took amazing care of my puppy! This was my first time boarding my puppy and from the initial meet and greet Donna made me feel very comfortable. She sent regular updates and pictures. Communicated with me regarding the care of my pup. I felt at ease that my fur baby was in great hands. He had a great time. I will definitely book again. Thank you Donna and Britton for taking such great care of my Remy 🐶❤️”

“Jessica was great! Extremely responsive and sent so many pics and videos. I could tell my pup was having so much fun with her pups and was very well taken care of.”

“Rachel was incredible from day one. Thor was very comfortable and acted like he didn't want to leave when it was time to pick him up. She was very flexible and accommodating regarding hours and I received so many pictures and updates from her throughout the day. I will definitely be using Rachel again. Michael”

“Our dogs were so excited to see them again that they jumped out of our car and ran right in to their house. We love that they snuggle our fur monsters like we do. I know our dogs are very well cared for and loved while we are away.”

“This was the first time the dog stayed with Lizbeth for an sleepover and they did so wonderfully. She is so lovely to work with and so kind with our dogs. The best!”

“Such a great experience start to finish. The pictures were so adorable and I could tell my baby was in the best care possible. I will definitely be rebooking with my dog and recommending to every one I talk to.”

“Kendra was very accommodating for our last minute changes and health concerns for our dog. She was very good to our goods - they were very happy when we picked them up so I know they were well taken care of during their stay.”

“Awesome dog sitters! They're very flexible with scheduling and always take great care of my dog. I've booked with them several times now and I highly recommend them to anyone :)”

“Cory watched Sofia for me while I made a work trip. She had so much fun hanging with him and his pups. His pups are so sweet and love to be outside like Sofia does! Cory responded quickly to all my texts and sent me pictures”

“My dog Gracie had a wonderful time staying with Krissa as evident by the pictures that Krissa sent of Gracie during her stay. Krissa has a very large fenced in yard and is quite knowledgeable of dogs. I'm comfortable leaving my little girl with Krissa and know that Gracie will enjoy herself.”

“Glisel always does an amazing job with my dogs - especially for one that has a fear of thunder and fireworks, she helps him stay calm when he’s anxious and in forever grateful for her!”

“Monique was awesome. My anxious dog had a great time with her friendly dog. She sent pictures and put my mind at ease. She has a very calm spirit and is good with dogs. I highly recommend her.”

“Maria was amazing with our one year old toy poodle Bruno for two weeks and we’re so grateful! She stayed on top of his whole routine, kept up with his eating and walk schedule perfectly, and somehow even got him to actually sleep in his new bed (which he usually wanders off from constantly!). She sent us updates, photos, and videos the whole time, which we loved and it made being away so much easier. Maria and her daughter were the sweetest with our little boy Bruno, you could tell he felt right at home and was totally spoiled with love. He came back happy and relaxed. We’d book her again without needing to think twice when we need support. Your dog or pup couldn’t be in better hands!”

“I believe this is the third time Joshua and Audrey have watched Teddy and it's been a perfect experience every time. They send frequent check in photos, take Teddy for hikes, and it's really nice they have a fenced in backyard for the dogs to run around. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.”

“Sarah took great care of my dog, Charlie! She gave him his medicine and made sure her home was compatible with his needs (senior citizen pup)! When he had tummy problems, she helped fix calm his stomach and added on a much needed bath for him. Appreciate Sarah and her family’s care of my pup!”

“Nathalie was absolutely wonderful with our old gal S’mores!! She was such a pleasure to communicate with, and she was so caring with S’mores’ little needs for an older dog who is a little deaf… She sent great pictures and made sure our gal had a smooth, easy visit! Many thanks!!!!!😊😊”

“Gonzalo and his family were fantastic. They sent us photos multiple times a day and our dogs looked very happy. We will definitely use Gonzalo again when we travel.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clover
I cannot even begin to thank Jennifer enough for all she did for my dog Cody. 2 doily updates with pictures and videos, daily walks, and most of all the love and attention she and family showed Cody! My dog was spoiled to no end! Cody doesn’t do well in boarding situations due to anxiety issues. When I took him home today, he was totally calm on the 15 minute ride home. He’s normally nervous in the car whining on the entire trip. If you need a reliable, responsible, caring sitter for your dog, you need to give Jennifer a try. You will not be sorry!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
