“Shelley is the sweetest dog sitter I have ever met. Rocko was well taken care of and he had the best time with her! Excellent communication and a constant flow of pictures, which I absolutely loved. Rocko will be back!”

“Katherine (Brooke) and Mark are fantastic! They are the sweetest couple and love dogs! We left our senior pup with them for a 5 day trip and they took fantastic care of him! They were so nice and let him get used to their home in an initial visit which helped him acclimate easier! They were so helpful with drop off and pick up, sent lots of photos and videos, provided lots of updates and were attentive to him! We are so grateful that we booked with them and are excited that our pup has a wonderful place to stay when we are away! Thanks so much!!!”
“Elaine and her husband were great with our pups. I was very nervous leaving my younger dog that had never been away from me before and has bad separation anxiety. Our boys were well cared for and happy while we were gone. We will definitely book with them again!! Thanks for taking such great care of our boys while we were gone!”
“Deborah took wonderful care of our pups! They enjoyed meeting the horses and playing with new friends. Highly recommend and already have them booked for another visit”
“Tina and her family took my baby in as their own. The daily videos and pictures helped ease my mind while I was away. My baby really enjoyed himself with the family dog taco. They exceeded my expectations!! I would definitely book with Tina again. She's awesome!!! Thank you again!!”

“Nathalie was absolutely wonderful with our old gal S’mores!! She was such a pleasure to communicate with, and she was so caring with S’mores’ little needs for an older dog who is a little deaf… She sent great pictures and made sure our gal had a smooth, easy visit! Many thanks!!!!!😊😊”

“Second time booking with Lauren. This time our shy dog went right up to her door like it was her second home. Really appreciate how easy communication is with Lauren throughout the whole process.”

“Lizbeth is the best! She took wonderful care of our dog and treated him like part of her family. We could really tell that our dog felt really at home with them. Thank you for taking care of Ollie and I’m sure he’s looking forward to staying with you all again soon!”

“Her family made my dog feel like family I wasn’t worried about him at all. The communication was outstanding she sent pictures throughout the stay and even with Chaco being afraid of the thunder and fireworks bthry made him feel safe and protected. They was patient with him and made him feel loved. When I picked my dog up he had the biggest smile and I can tell he enjoyed his stay. I would highly recommend them i’ve used doggy day camps and overnight boarding with other places and after this experience, I would rather choose them than the facility. If I could give them 10 stars, I would I highly recommend them and anyone that works with them just know your Pet is in best hands and he becomes part of the family during the stay. Thank you for the love, kindness and patience that you shared with my dog.”

“Excellent! I have a clingy vizsla and Jess made sure Lily was well loved during her stay. Jess also sent us little updates each day, which was really nice to receive. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter!”

“Yevheniia is amazing. My dog is on the needy side & I was really nervous about leaving him. Yevheniia made me feel so at ease & comfortable. She treated Luka like family, letting him on the couch & giving him lots of love. She sent daily updates & pictures which I really appreciated. Thank you so much!”

“Ashley and Robert were the absolute best! They sent pictures and updates of Nora throughout the day, which put my mind at ease. Nora had the best time during her stay and came home exhausted. Thank you, Ashley and Robert for taking such great care of my fur baby! ❤️”

“Brent was amazing with our dog Barry!! Our little guy is super anxious and it takes someone with a lot of patience and experience to handle him and Brent definitely was that person! Would recommend him over and over again! Best dog sitter we have come across and so glad we found him 🙏🏻🙌🏻”

“Katherine took such great care of my two fur babies. She is great with updates and pictures. You can tell that she cares about the dogs like they were her own. She is just so fabulous.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clover
I cannot even begin to thank Jennifer enough for all she did for my dog Cody. 2 doily updates with pictures and videos, daily walks, and most of all the love and attention she and family showed Cody! My dog was spoiled to no end! Cody doesn’t do well in boarding situations due to anxiety issues. When I took him home today, he was totally calm on the 15 minute ride home. He’s normally nervous in the car whining on the entire trip. If you need a reliable, responsible, caring sitter for your dog, you need to give Jennifer a try. You will not be sorry!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
